Thanks for watching!
6:47 beautiful And very Green city! A jewelry in America
Hey! Glad to see you in Montevideo!
Just a couple of details:
Sundays are just quiet, not because they’re church day (not too many ppl go to church compared to other countries).
That day was windy at the Rambla because… almost everyday is windy there!
Hope you come back to Uruguay and enjoy so many beautiful places.
thanks so much for watching!
Ooh man, this has been on my list for years. Someday! Looks like you two enjoyed!
If you want to come, do it between November and March, the weather is nicer, and make sure you go to Punta del Este, world-class beach resort on a European level. Colonia is another great tourist spot. Definitely do not come between July up until September (included), the weather is cold and nasty, it doesn't snow because of our geographical location and humidity, but it gets to 40 to 25 farhenheit.
It's so good! We know you'd love the food!
@@marceloquiroga1904no tenés que decir que esta al nivel de Europa para que la gente quiera venir. Vendelo por lo que es.
It too bad you couldn't have spent more time in Montevideo. It's a beautiful city outside and inside the city. So much more to see. Hope you get back there soon. Harriet and I spent a month there. The food and drink . Outstanding! Hope you guys had a wonderful time there. Enjoy Bueno Aires ! Sending you much love 🍺❤️🍺 Harriet, Jim and Yuki

Gracias por visitar uruguay 🇺🇾 😊 😉 ❤🎉🎉
Thanks for watching!💗
I love Uruguay, people are very kind .
The safest country in Latin America.
There are 3,500.000 people .
Montevideo the most European city in Latin America ❤
Thanks for watching!
The water of the River Plate is brown due to the silt generated by the outflow if the Uruguay and Parana rivers which empty into the river or estuary if the Rio de la Plata. It is safe to swim in. As you travel further eastward the river turns into the Atlantic Ocean and water becomes clearer.
I used to swim as a child in the waters of Pocitos beach. Your video brought me so many memories of the place of my birth.
Hola muy bienvenidos!! Exitos ❤
Uruguay, amazing hidden gem!! Astonishing, guys!!
Definitely is!!!
Bro is lucky to be traveling with that companion. She is looking good
Thank you!
Gracias por visitar nuestro país
meat heaven 😋 love uruguay, enjoy the rest of the trip and cheers from chile
So good! Thanks for watching!
It so nice to see such a nice people visiting my city, very glad that you enjoyed despite being here only 1 day. I hope you can spend more time next time.
The day you were in montevideo was easter sunday, and is I ne of the most quiet days of the year in the city because we usually take some days off and make a little travel.
South America is so interesting ❤
Appreciate you watching!
Love that about Anthony Bourdain, one of the reasons I started following your channel, when the pandemic began. For over a decade, I’ve traveled globally following his footsteps 😊
That is awesome! Thanks so much for watching!
You have "a good gps": Tinkal is one of the best places for Chivito, and Cabaña Verónica one of the best for parrilla. Montevideo is generally empty in summer weekends because most of the people goes to the seasides of the eastern coast (Maldonado and Rocha). Hope you can came back and see those places that are the best of this country. Hugs.
We did our research that's for sure. Thanks so much for watching, appreciate you!
Awesome and splendid ❤❤❤ enjoy 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much 😀
Sunday quiet sunday, hope you have a good day in our country!!!
Thank you!
die schönste Stadt der Welt
Awesome video guys so well done. Thank you for sharing beautiful Montevideo love that city...
Thanks so much!
4:13 Love the Tango move, Molly. 😊 Great video. 👍 Cheers and stay safe. ❤
hahahahaha thank you, i tried!
The bite in homage of Luis Suarez. That was a good one!
Haha! Thank you!
Matt's articulations and gestures totally remind me of David Attenborough at a younger age. In Montevideo you got the best out of Sunday. Buenos Aires is very diverse, large and somewhat confusing. There is one of the few "Kosher" McDonald's worldwide. After Tango, Maradona and Evita, you can look forward to a lot of delicious food.
That’s a really nice comment. Thanks for watching! Looking forward to showing Ba
YOOOO! Nice video!!! I’m a Small Struggling Travel Channel and you really inspire me to make better content 😌 Thank you!

It was easter. We were all on vacation😅
Haha this was February! 😉
@@dabbleandtravel vacations too lol
We are doing the cruise next January. When did you guys visit? TIA
Amazing. We did the end of January cruise
Wow, a carnivore's paradise. But yeah, I was surprised that the country is so expensive in comparison with its neighbours. But then again, it is the safest country in that region, so maybe there is a direct correlation with that. Good video again :)
Probably true. Also just good quality produce definitely means the price is worth it. Thanks for watching!

💗💗💗
Yea
Doing this cruise next Jan/Feb. I really wish you would do a packing video. The crazy variations in weather on this itenarary has me stumped. I really need suggestions for what jacket to bring. TIA.
Ahh okay so packing wise layering is your best friend. We took one big coat, I took ear muffs & gloves & a hat! The ship is quite warm, the other destinations are fairly warm, take a couple of spring/summer outfits that you can layer up. For Antarctica we wore gym clothes and layered with jumpers etc. my hands were the coldest! 💗
Thanks for the suggestions. That sounds about right. I think we might each bring 2 jackets of different warmness. Yes layering of course.
Also spending a week in the warmer areas and Iguaza Falls so that just adds weight to the luggage. We will be on HAL so no self service laundry.
Thanks for posting these videos, I'm enjoying them.
Tbh if we got cold we just went inside to warm up for 5 then went back out! We were also lucky with the weather we had some pretty warm weather but layering is your best friend. Have an amazing time
They will remodel the stadium for the world cup. It will cost more than 80 million.
The Chivito at el Tinkal place, is delicious, but do not came with fries. 😠
Haha we don’t want fries!!!
Did you not try their famous mate?
We didn’t!!
Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Please Again visit in Bangladesh 🇧🇩

Hi guys how are you ☺
Hey hey all good thanks how are you
I'm so good thanks 😊
I love u ❤❤❤
Uruguay is the country of Peñarol ⚽🥇
💗
When will you come to Pakistan?
Uruguay noma 🇺🇾 aguante Peñarol
Did you notice many homeless people? When I went in December it was full of homeless people.
Hey guys , which has been your favourite South American city?
Such a difficult decision each one we say is our favourite lol!
Ihr seid englische?
Yes we are 🥰
You have to be careful, as a tourist, when ordering meat in some restaurants, many give cheaper sausage rather than the better steaks available.
Really! That’s interesting!
Just to make things clear: there’s no difference in Uruguay between food (or anything) sold to tourists or locals (price and quality wise). Therefore, if some restaurants serve low quality foods (like anywhere else in the world), locals have to be also “careful”.
yes it definitely didn't come across that way. especially when we were ordering our huge sausages :D
😢🇩🇿👏
👍👍👍
Guys, are you from England? But yours have an English accent as like spain or german or italy. 😅
We sure are. It’s a london accent lol
I thought it was russian, spanish accent. Because they speak like the same way. But english people have a different tone, we couldn't catch their sounds. 😁
Your opening dialogue has confused me. 😅
Jajajaja, bienvenidos, en realidad te faltó comer carne de verdad, apenas fue un aperitivo. La próxima vez pidan una parrillada para dos.
I cruised the Antarctic earlier this year and enjoyed your videos. I have also spent a lot of time in Uruguay o er the psst 12 years or so. My nod to Montevideo in a music video. Song recorded there in June 2019 and video put together mainly from stills and movies from my phone and other peoples phones. czcams.com/video/Ar68tYxWr8s/video.htmlsi=pTt6yZqLueXIx-OE
On Sundays....the people are not used to going to the church compare with other countries.....We are not a very religious country....On Sundays people usually go to the Rambla....lunch with family.....go to the fair....and other things
thanks for watching!

Hey! Thanks so much how are you,
Funny that you can't see the 2026 World Cup being held there, while in fact it will host the opening match of the 2030 World Cup
Montevideo is really tranquil but your were also on a very much "office neighbourhood". No, we probably weren't at church as most of the country (the vast majority) is atheist haha
we did try to visit as much as possible in the limited time we had! and lol that's not the first comment we had, it was actually our taxi driver that said everyone was at church
@@dabbleandtravel yeah i know, you had very little time! it wasn't hate at all. Just telling some facts haha 🫶 really
13:53 "In homage of Luis Suárez we took a bite" 😁😁
😂👍
are you going to visit Brazil at some day? If so, don't go to Rio de Janeiro; go to Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Gramado, Goiânia, Vitória or Aracaju instead...
I was in Curitida a few years ago for about a month. Awesome city. I'm British but also have Polish and Ukrainian heritage so it was super interesting to be there!
Babe ... you don't move your arms when dancing Tango! (These Gringos!!!)
Pahahaahhaahahahahahahahahaa
¿Uruguayans at church? 😂😂😂
LOL 😂😂 we clearly got it mixed up

Wow..., except for the Estadio Centenario zone, you just wasted your stay in Montevideo visiting the places where all the misery and garbage is, that is the docks and port zone, the old city.... next time ask a uruguayan where to go, not to a travel agent or Google.... you totally missed Carrasco, Sofitel casino, Punta Gorda, Malvín, Rambla of Pocitos and Buceo.... why always all the tourists stay in the old city zone lol... most of the people here only work there but we all run away from that zone when we dont need to specifically go there... shame you missed the best... next time ask, in Montevideo, what we call "Centro", its an exception comparing it to the rest of the major cities in the world where downtown is where all the action is, here, the center town, downtown, where you were, is the most grey and not such a nice place to visit except for the Plaza Independencia that is iconic, the rest is pure misery, homeless people, buildings in horrible conditions, but.. ye, they sell souvenirs to tourists and they have the Mercado del Puerto, where no uruguayan ever step in to eat there, because its just a robbery made for tourists...
😮 good heart attack material sorry guys😮
😂😂 pretty much
Please don't eat cow in video. .we indian worship them 😢 😢 its very bad to see
Understand that, however we eat beef though and we’re not in a Hindu country.
@@dabbleandtravel But plz try to ignore this in video ....we will always support you...I really love your vlogs , I always wait for your video ...🙄
Es un país pobre se ve.
Cool
Ok so first, Uruguay 🇺🇾 has four (4) FIFA recognized world championships. Please read up om your FIFA history. Second, you came on a Sunday, hardly anyone is walking the streets in the city. Most of us are enjoying time with our families, either eating pasta or grilling meat (parrillada, definitely not barbecue - that is an american style of cooking meat, it's understandable, since their meat is not as good as ours so they have to mask it with sauces and hit it with more cooking times). Others are hitting the seashore, not that excuse of a beach that is playa Ramirez, we have a beautiful coastline all the way up the the border with Brazil. And others are spending time in the outdoors, either camping, grilling in wonderful municipal sites, or in family owned restaurants either in farms, wineries or ranches. So yes, we have a wonderful life here under, if we want to kick it up a bit and hit more night life, we do Buenos Aires, Skiing? Southern Argentina or Chile, more beautiful beaches than ours? Brazil baby! Cheers!
Thanks so much for watching! Appreciate your comments
