Another issue with Ather is that it isn't available everywhere

It is not. The way Dutch engineer designed the scooter is perfectly adequate for the climate there. That scooter was never meant to be driven on any other country. It's Indian company Ola who did the 'jugad' and used it in India. Ather on the other hand was development for India. That's why it performs better here. If you use Ather in Amsterdam, am pretty sure the Ather will over cool the battery and decrease it's performance (lithium batteries don't like to be too hot or too cool).
It’s just they designed with Dutch market in mind Ola didn’t take that into account
Correct information i faced same problem in ola.i.e heating issue
As per ola CMO this will improve over the time with updates, so i am crossing my fingers that during next update i will get fan installed automatically for passive cooling and alluminium casing for battery 😀
It will improve with optimized power delivery but battery temperature cannot be maintained below 35° with updates
But you need atleast 5G to send aluminum OTA 🤣

You have RIGHTLY pointed out the issues with regard to the heating issue in ola S1 scooter. Ola should take corrective measures to solve this issue or the problems will keep arising.

I have ather it's the best I never felt any heating issue and service is the best man after even 6 months any problem i call them they will again call u back and make sure everything is fine no problems and says if any problems arise please bring to showroom they say very nice service. But ola people are worst my friend said they won't respond and even don't recive their call too
Ola will improve on service with Time but they need to improve on thermal performance of scooter and future products
Please check olas cooling system after MOV OS2.0

Yes in eco mode there will be no battery overheating i think will see after updates rolls out
@@EVExperience i also have an ola scooter and I have been riding at hyper mode in 43 degree temperature
I have not seen any issue regarding overheating except screen not working
@@hypermrigank4261 on hilly roads u will notice the heating issue and also there is no warning when battery Overheat there is no warning
@@EVExperience Yaa there are no hilly roads here and yes i doesn't give any warning but directly shifts into normal mode
@@hypermrigank4261 in my case battery temperature reached 50° but still it was in sports mo didn't shift to normal 50° is near critical for lithium ion cell

Ather is far better than any other EV
No amount of software updates can fix the heating issue in Ola. They need to come up with physical modification to solve it. That won’t happen to existing scooters. May be in the next iteration. So early adopters as always are left with these issues forever

Heating Issue is only for few scooters. There are more than 70000 scooters out of which 20-30 are facing heating issues.
Rest of all are riding it in hot summer over 42-45c without any issues.
People have ridden it in the heat for more than 100km continuously without any issues many videos are there on you tube

U will face heating issue only while climbing not on regular road as i said ola is best when it comes to regular everyday riding but when it comes hilly roads it doesn't perform that well
Bhai esa ni hai sports mode me suru ke 6-7 km chalane ke bad hi heat ho jata hai or uske bad thodi der khada kar do or dubara chalao to 1 km ke ander hi heat ho jata hai me service centre bhi bhej chuka hu baki ye hai ki normal mode me chalate raho to kuch ni hota.

Maine sport mode pure din 94 k.m ride kiya S1 pro but koi heating issue nahi aaya in delhi 42% temrature me, uske baad bhi 21% battery bchi hui thi.
Or hyper mode me rarely hi chlane ki jrurat pdti h, wo sirf racing ke lie or thoda bht fun krne ke lia bna h hyper mode. Hyper mode ko cantrol krne ke lie bhi professional chaiye, nahi to us tweeter waale bnde ke jaisa haal hoga.

Ha but jab climbing ke jarurat ho hilly road ho tab ola jaldi Overheat ho jata hai, but still ola is best to ride in cities but Thermal performance wise ather is better

Informative video , by the way 1.40 lac ka bech rahe the aur 5000 ka kharcha. Karke active cooling ka arrenge ment krna chahiye tha.
5000 ke jarurat nahi hai bas vents add kar dete design me

Isiliye main bola 5000 for active cooling system ,radiator , aluminium fins, heat exchanger.

@@EVExperience unhone fins to diye hue hai battery pack ko, lakin problem as hai ki battery casing jo hai wo plastic ka hai aur plastic heat conduter nahi hai, so active cooling is must for ola if they really want to improve thermo efficiency.
Ola build quality is shocking at times.
I think the fans provided for cooling is called active cooling and ola has passive cooling... Did I get it wrong??
Yes u can say that but in ather fans are used to cool motor controller and dashboard not battery pack when u combine liquid cooling with fan that's called proper active cooling

All the information is correct I'm using ola since last 4 months i love it but you have to be truthful about it's advantages and disadvantages or design mistakes
active cooling should be mandatory for li-ion bttry pack... motor, controller se bttry pack ko thnda rkhna zada zaroori hain.. insan ke jaan se age kuch bhi important nhi hain..
Passive cooling can do the job if designed properly in electric two wheeler but an active cooling system is always better option to have than Passive

If your budget is 1.5 lac then go for ather it's more reliable in terms of range and consistency of performance but if you want long range go for ola eco mode range is 150km in ola

Basically ather has a better thermal management system for all components but ola offers a better price to specs ratio
But ather is good for battery safty has good BMS and reliable range prediction.

Sir which is better to buy ather 450x or ola s1 pro or tvs iqube...I m not much concern on rage maximum per day average require is 45 to 50 km..

Tvs iqube will do the job for u it's best when it comes to city riding and also in budget
TVs i cube is better low budget picture hit 👍 but if you want performance and range go for Ola S1 pro 👍

U can consider ola also it has better range and performance but if ur budget is low go for tvs iqube it doesn't have any battery drain issue ola will fix its issues in future updates so u can also consider ola s1

Every scooter have it's own advantages and disadvantages and i believe ola will improve with updates but in terms of battery and Thermal management they have to improve on RND and on manufacturing level.
There is a golden rule with vehicles, never buy the first version of any new model as it will have bugs an defects which the company fixes in the next version post complaints and user data inputs. This is bad marketing and strategy as in the long run, these companies who cringe on proper research always fail.

@@EVExperienceyes lack information display. But it's metal body, that's why range is less ,if it's fibre body than it's range ultimate. Price is less than ather and more than iqube. Quality parts :- minimum 10 years life span.

Ather me initially bahut isue aaye the Bhai jara knowledge badhao ather is 8-10 yrs old company and first model was ather 450 for iska new version nikala 450x.
Ather chalta hi kitna he warp mode me 40km range 🤣 to issue aayenge kaise.
Ola hyper mode me 80km range double range.

Learning from others mistakes. Let's see what happens with simple one from the updates coming from them it looks like they combined athers Thermal management ola's performance and nexon's range will find out after they starts delivering.

Ather is not powerful compare to ola.... So its not so much eating and... Ola have safety future because of the one fire accident
Ather also had one fire incident but it was in there service centre with an accidental vehicle battery got external damage and water got through resulting in thermal runway
What is the use of those modes when we cannot use it… ola is worst… we never know when we may have to face such danger… better to avoid rather than trying our luck
Yes they should have designed Thermal management systems for Indian weather conditions and that's only major problem in ola

Ola has higher motor capacity. Ola only heat in hyper mode
Controller heats up more than motor that's why we get high temp warning

Bro, don't compare ola with ather. Ather rich ppl scooter, with low performance. Ather first 3 year didn't sold any outside Bangalore, why think about it bro? Ather already told the scooter for only for those who can afford. 👈 India main sab lok paise barbad nahi karna nahi cahate..
