Ola-58 Nm torque at motor and 156 Nm at wheel(2.7:1 reduction ratio)
Ather - 26 Nm torque at motor and 234 Nm at wheel(9:1 reduction ratio)
That's why ather pulls faster for first few seconds and then ola takes over.
Peak Torque remains only upto 3000 rpms. Ather attains it quickly bcoz of 9:1 reduction but ola would be working at lower rpm which means it would maintain peak torque for significantly longer than ather.

The electric scooter launched in two variants - the Ola S1 which will be available in five colours and the Ola S1 Pro, a more powerful variant that will be available in 10 colours. These include Red, Sky Blue, Yellow, Silver, Gold, Pink, Black, Navy Blue, Grey and White. The two models will be available for purchase this September and deliveries are set to begin in October.
The Ola S1 starts at Rs 99,999 and the S1 Pro starts at Rs 1,29,999. The Ola S1 packs a 2.9kWh battery pack and delivers 8.5kW peak power. The battery can be charged in about 6 hours with a 750W portable charger or up to 50% using an Ola Supercharger in just 18 minutes.

Ather has a higher wheel torque than the ola. This is the reason we cannot just rely on the motor torque. That is why, ather has the intial pull, but once ola picks up, the 8.5kw motor shows its power🔥

My Ola S1 was charged at around 95%. Was not used for 8-10 days. When I tried to take it, scooter was not turning ON. Ola service team has taken my scooter. It is 5 days since I raised complaint. Now they may need another 10-15 days to get new battery and replace it. Battery drainage at this rate is serious issue. Please check on this.

Also, I guess this video is an answer to all the people who is saying, Ola's 80kmph is 60kmph😂. Obviously there will be a difference between gps and onboard speedo. This is nothing new.

Motor power varies between ather that is 6kilowatt. In ola 8.5kilowatt.Anyway Ather smaller in size Great competition.I think that's y Ather unable to reach after some distance. Good video by Pradeep. on Wheels. If soon Ather upgrades in motor power in future it will definitely beat ola in terms of Race.
