- Ather Energy introduced India to high quality performance electric scooters and ever since, it has been the gold standard for its kind in the country. Several have tried to dethrone it, many have come close, none have succeeded. So, when Ola Electric, another unknown electric player, decided to take the 450X on and better it with not only improved performance and more range, but also with fancy features and a lower price tag, we were intrigued for sure. However, the S1 Pro was far from being the seamless transition from ICE to EVs that most were hoping for. There were a lot of bugs, glitches and mishaps that soured the mood. So, when the company sent us a test unit with the new Move OS 2.0, which claims to have ironed out major software bugs, we surely had to pit it against the 450X. So, in this video, we put the two electric scooters through our usual set of comparison tests to determine once and for all, which is the better product.

Ather is no doubt a better overall product than Ola, but I guess with their new model Ola S1, it is now a much more value for money product than Ather (almost 50K cheaper than Ather)....and with their new OS3, I feel Ola is working hard on their laggards and should soon turn out to be an overall nice product.... my vote goes to Ola S1.

I am having ather 450x more than 9 months, it's like the activa of scooter, trust worthy, the best i like about is it's ruggedness, only draw back is the range, I think minimum it should be 150, ola cannot be trusted.

Your review came a little too late, competition is hotting-up considerably for highest range varient or Premium EV scooter segment. TVS has launched i Qube ST, Simple one is coming up and even Aether will be launching extended range varient . I would like to see comparison between all of them .

@@beyondtheuniverse3293 Definetly! Ola is a great option with good range and it also has great speed. However some issues Ola faces is that Ola has no footrest for Indian women. It also takes about 1 mnth for delivery. But if you want to get a good product, it will definetly take time!
Ola also has some quality issues but they've already been fixed and are hardly found nowadays. If I was in your place, I would go for OLA in this case.

@@watashiwa_aditya mine is the 450 not the 450X . I get average 70km per charge. After 33k kms its range may have only dropped by 1-2kms .

Also u can make tall claims like ola in testing phase we will only know what it has provided after a year with the customer.

I feel range is the most important aspect for an ev, as batteries don't last forever and lose health by daily use, the Olas battery will age much more gracefully than the Athers.

@@rohitmohanty641 203 is not true range. Even company claimed true range is around 150-160km for the base model. With extended battery you might get 200 true range but that would cost you 30k more.

Well i stay in meghalaya side which force me to buy Aerox over ev for two main reason one charging facilities and other stiff n potholes roads.....could not have manage a ride too beautiful places of meghalaya in Ev without worrying about charging....

many people didnt know that ola cant be in hyper mode for more than 7-8 km in one go. It shows one cant be in top speed.
Price is something a biggest poijt to be considered being with any scooter, then other parameters comes into picture and seeing range and price ola stands out, other features are less worthy.

I purchased Ola S1 Pro for higher range, cheaper price (than Ather) and Mobile ON/OFF. The negatives in Ola S1 Pro are Software issues, very few Service Technicians and poor coordination in Services. Hope Ola will solve these issues in future.
