- In this video, I talk about comfort locks. What are they? Why are they important, and what are some of mine? This is also my entry into @LockPickingHippie #Hippie250 His 250 subscriber appreciation giveaway! For our entries into his giveaway, he has asked us to show some of our comfort locks. Here are some general masterlock's, a cheap chineeseium padlock, an American A1100 and an Abus 80TI/50. Congratulations again Hippie on this amazing milestone! It's very well deserved! American 1100s are my go - to. Good day or bad, I love picking them. Great subject matter!

Great Video Adam, it’s important for us all to remember that Everyone has their Good Days, and Bad Days! I love that your comfort zone includes a Titalium(never picked one yet) and the AL 1100!!! The 1100’s were my first Goal to pick, now that my skill level has increased they have become a Comfort to pick and Remember some of the basics🤌🏼🤌🏼 Really Top Tier! Thank you Pete! That was spoken very well! It's important to remember that indeed! I love that Titalium lock! It's an extremely fun one to pick! Until I got my Lockwood, it was my favorite, now they both are! Although the Lockwood isn't at comfort level yet lol! I'm so happy you have reached that goal with the AL1100 and are picking it like a champ now! It's an amazing milestone! Thanks again, and yes! Congrats to Hippie once more! Very well deserving!

@thecompguy very true 😅 but I haven't met an 1100 I didn't like yet 😅 I have 2 coming from canada so they may yet give me trouble when they arrive 😂

Thank you very much! Yes, indeed they are! I fall back on them quite a bit! Especially when I'm learning a new lock I'm having trouble with and just need to remember I can still pick lol. I also don't get to practice that often, so before I start a new lock, I'll use them for a warmup session. Thanks again Doc!

Thanks, man! They're an important tool for us to have in our locksport tool-boxes! Sometimes, you just have to rebuild that confidence or double check you can still pick a lock at all lol.
@@thecompguy oh trust me I can relate for sure I was in a slump the other week but much better now lol had to start at the beginning and rip through a pile of locks then it was on!!

Nice set of comfort locks there and description. I had never heard the term until last year, but it deffinitelty resonates with certain locks for sure.
Thank you very much! I really appreciate that! I do think they are an important tool for us to use from time to time. I know with the issues I have, It's nice, just to pick one up from time to time and make sure I can still pick a lock when everything else if failing!

Really well explained. We do all need those comfort locks, I also call them my warm up locks. Like doing picking exercises before you tackle the lock that is going to take the longest and is the hardest to pick. It is also about maintaining your picking mojo because if all we ever do is go for that next big open and don't get it then that could be discouraging to keep going with the hobby. Comfort locks enable us to continue to get that feel good feeling of an open without the pressure of concurring that next big lock in line. Good luck in the dtaw, cheers
Thanks PW! That was very well explained! 100% in agreement! Wether you need to fall back just to have an open or warm up with some practice, there very important. I use them for practic3 mostly before I have a long picking session since I cannot practice every day. It gets me back into the groove of things. Thanks again, PW!!

Очень жизненно . Отмечу один момент из-за которого мне очень понравилось вскрывать замочки производства не моей страны . Абсолютно новые варианты вроде бы как знакомых моментов но всё же новые и со своими особенностями вскрытия.
Это очень развивает возможности и знания. В этом я с тобой тоже абсолютно солидарен. 😊
