@@wbfaulk he might be referring to the lock with the blocking bar at the top and stack of wafers in each pin stack. That lock cant be picked in the same way as spools or serated pins cos the core turning doesnt act directly on the key pins.

I got to believe that LPL's amazing lock picking skills have made him quite wealthy. And you know what? He totally deserves it for all the time and effort he put into attaining such a high degree of expertise in a specific area. Therefore, I never have any problem when he plugs his business, because like I said, the man earned it!
That and there are people who use the instruments for honorable purposes, ie, retrieving keys from locked vehicles, winning competitions (yes there are lock-picking competitions), etc.
LPL is one of two channels I turn notifications on, and my craft has nothing in common with locks, lockpicking! This stuff is simply facinating and have learned alot about security sevices over the years.
There's a channel called Works by Design that released a video about making a virtually unpickable lock (I say virtually because you haven't tested it yet). The guy connected the pins to arms on the sides of the core that are supposed to prevent pickers from tensioning the core. He said he was interested in sending you one.
The video shows another lockpicker successfully picking the lock. I mean it took him nearly an hour or so but if any lockpicker can just walk up, without ever having seen the insides of the lock, and pick it, it's likely LPL can eventually figure out a way to do it within a minute with the right tool.

@@AssaUnbound You're probably right about LPL. Info on travelers hooks, latch slipping, and 'loiding' is all over since this may be the oldest exploit there is. Googling "Adams Rite Wire" will bring several instructional links for that tool. The "knife" tool is a legitimate bypass tool with many uses covered by LPL and numerous others. Overall this 'Arbiter' set is a very good selection of bypass tools. Not so well covered anywhere is that Adams Rite updated this type of lock well over a decade ago, and the "hook" bypass tool will not work on the new ones but the "wire" might if they used a standard cylinder. AFAIK nobody has found a "hook" type exploit in the newer version which is well shielded against that type of attack. Albert Lebel has a vid on that. The upside is that these locks are robust and long-lived so there's still a huge number of the older ones still in use on older storefronts and you can always pick the cylinder on all of them for covert entry.
That's the same model lock we use at work (auto manufacturing) for various things, mainly LOTO. Now I see what the optional "bypass plate" I read about is for (when I tore down, cleaned, and rebuilt my main carry lock). But, LOTO is relatively low security so I'm not too worried about it. But
And, as the Covert Security website servers crash through sheer overload, Masterlock executives squirm a little more knowing their products will be bypassed so easily by so many more people.
You've mentioned in passing a few times that different keys have different handles and that they mean something to locksmiths. Could you do a video detailing the different handles and what they're associated with? I'd love to see that.
