  • HEALTHY GOAN SWEET BUNS - Sweet Banana Buns Recipe: Soft Mangalore banana buns. Puffed and soft, and also super-tasty, today's sweet buns are easy to make. This Goan recipe with a twist is actually a recipe for wheat flour banana buns. This is a healthy banana buns recipe in which the Goan banana buns are made with a mix of maida and whole wheat flour. These slightly sweet buns with a banana flavour are also called Goan sweet buns or Goan jeera buns.
    These delicious Goan treats can be enjoyed for breakfast or with your evening tea. In Goa, banana buns are popularly served at local restaurants as a tasty breakfast snack. Though they're called banana buns, they're really like thick purees with a slightly spongy texture inside. This recipe involves fermenting the dough for six to eight hours or overnight. Believe me, munching on these hot, plump, golden brown, and amazingly delicious banana buns will be such a treat. So do make them in your own kitchen soon.

    Can I make appe with this batter ?

    • @PataCake
      @PataCake  Před 2 lety +1

      Dinesh, to make appe, you need a batter, something that can be spooned into the mould. For these buns, you have a dough that has to be shaped. The consistency of a dough is much thicker than that of a batter. And so, you won't be able to make appe with the bun dough. However, you could try by adding some water to the bun mix and bringing it to the consistency of a batter. After letting this batter ferment, you could try making appe with it.

      @@veenakulkarni3014 , no they can't. Several modifications would be required in the recipe and mainly the dough. It would have to be a sticky dough that you can't roll out, etc. Instead, why don't you try out my eggless banana bread ( also called bana cake) recipe that you could bake.
