One of those instances where the comment section blows away the video lol. Here's a glance at each companies fanboy profile: Arctic Cat : Rockstar drinker, frosted tips, couldn't change crankcase oil in the spring time because of "Daytona...man", just keeps adding different flavors of Rockstar. Ski-Doo: Hipster who insists on riding the OG snowmobile, knits his own snow-suit, drowns first day at camp because of wool snow suit. Yawnmaha: Ready to retire or freshly retired, sticking to the trails..."I don't need tow ropes, Yamaha never break down". Polaris:Does not give a rats ass about advancing technology, only wants to brag about "Snow Checking" a new $17,000 RMK when he lives in Saskatchewan (hint: it's super flat). :D
Can we not argue please! An engine is an engine, none of them last forever, and they all explode! It doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you don't mix engines and you are a serious rider
That sucks! They all break! Group I ride with blew up 2 skidoos last winter, both 2015s with under 1000 miles. I towed a Yamaha twice and a Polaris had a shock mount break. At the time I was riding a Yamaha viper but I have since went back to 2 stroke. 4s are too damn heavy!
As far as running wide open for several minutes straight goes, these engines are run a durability Dyno much longer than that. Cats have by far the strongest bottom end of any of the new 2 strokes. Period!
im late but were you guys AT high elevation with out a elevation kit ? or was it because your not supose to run a two stroke at full fucking throttle for 3 minutes stright
In terms of problems what has happened...I've heard arctic cat stuff is no good had a friend recently bought arctic cat 570 atv and something in the transmission went after like maybe 500km and the dealer is givin him the run around
That that specific sled? He had clutch issues, blew a chain case, cracked heat exchanger, blown engine. All before 1000 miles. He ended up selling it and buying a new skidoo.
Seriously bad luck there... In sweden we have a saying about such happenings, we say "Måndagsexemplar". Shit holds less quality if you bought it on a monday.
Have blown up every arctic cat I have owned. I have 2 yamaha 700 triples. One has 12k miles and just got down to 100 psi accross all 3. Not bad considering the past 4 years it has just been my lake and field beat the crap out of it and race everybody sled. Its the redhead triple though not a srx. If it was I probably would have been through 3 motors by now lol
blue 700 97 triple..fukkers are bulletproof...mine has been through so much..towing busted sleds out..racing and beating everything..if you have a 700 mountain max triple then you already know
I had an early 90's Arctic Cat Jag 440. it had 16000 miles on it when I sold it. I never opened the engine up on it. I had an Indy 500 that did 12k trouble free miles before I sold it. Indy 650 10k miles. Indy Classic 700 10k miles. I think they all made good ones and bad ones to be honest.
curty85 it definitely destroyed the engine. You are part right thought. It didn’t run out of oil, but had an oil system failure which took out the engine.
oic. im not a cat guy but support anything made in mn. i heard the new engine has been pretty good so far. but something about the turbo 4t and reliability of a 4t engine make s guy think about that route. havent looked too hard but they dont give out there weight numbers on those sleds.
USSR DOGGO What are you saying, arctic cats direct injection system is way different from the etecs. Just because they both have there injectors spraying fuel on top of the piston doesn't make em the same.
Always ride cats pull out a shiz load of polis every year and they are always the first to post some smart azz remark when someone like this posts a vid. we don’t know how many miles the mix or aftermarket parts that are on this sled in the vid soooo feel free to post poli fans . Chances are better than good that your sled will be next .
Sucks when the antifreeze runs low and it quits oiling. JD has had bad luck this winter. Don't know how the oiler rod broke, that's pretty bad luck. Btw, the comments are epic. Haha. Way to stir the pot Ellis. Lol
Yeah. I feel bad for him, I mean, no matter what brand of sled, that's some shitty luck. The issues he's had hasn't even been "common" issues, for a lack of a better word. It would be like him buying a skidoo and having everything else break, and not mess up the bulkhead, haha.
Haha, I have had Cats for the last 18 years I have been riding, and I've been fortunate enough to have good luck. The only ones that have blown up were my modded ones and usually because I leaned them out too much, but that was my fault.
They are ALL junk. It doesn't matter which brand you buy. Usually good for the first season, then it is all down hill from there. I have never owned a sled that was good after two seasons. They are great fun, but all piles of shit for what you have to pay for them.
No shit, Ty. Either smartie pants doesn't know wtf a break in is and how to do one or he performs shittier sled maintenance each season than a squirrel could do. There are many stupid people in the world. We've have 10 arctic cats in the last 20 years and never had ONE major issue ever. Know why? We take care of them the way you should. Idiots.
What are you saying? Clearly the engine blew up. Or were you expecting a big fire ball and it flipping 10X time from a explosion? Sorry bud this isnt hollywood.
ALL machines blow and most of the time its actually the owners fault. People love making intake and exhaust modifications themselves and do so without any thought. It says right in every owners manual that and intake or exhaust mods REQUIRE either a new fuel map upload or Jet adjust. So most of the time its not the machines fault.
So why you so sour to arctic cat? as i see it every company has had major issues. i think your comment reflects more on the you when you make general assumptions like this.
False. The owner meticulously maintains it or had the dealer do it. Constantly has had issues with it. Shit sled, shit dealer. dealership doesn't even sell sleds anymore. #garbage.

:D
Stephen H. Polaris in my experience has just enough technology to make it easy to use and simple, which is all I need
I love how everbody says artic cat is bad but when you see a broken skidoo they say oh it fine
Finally someone who gets it, skidoo has the history record of blowing belts
Engine was hurt at 1:00
Can we not argue please! An engine is an engine, none of them last forever, and they all explode! It doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you don't mix engines and you are a serious rider
That what happens when you have it wide open for 5 minutes straight.
No. It can take that. This is what happens when you put engine mods to it. Otherwise these engines are bullet proof!
Always sucks when a motor blows especially on a sled when it's hard to pull out of the trail
Aint that the truth.
What kind of can that the Arctic cat has
Looks like a lot of fun though
Agreed. They all break. I had a nytro mtx to use as a spare/Loaner sled, rode it once and sold it. To heavy, under powered and sounded annoying IMO
AKproXR really we have a supercharged nytro and it’s awesome
Whats why you buy a Polaris
Sounds just like my blender on puree when I'm making margaritas

The motor seized probably on a pto side or mag side
Stock motors last the longest!!
Does this also work on polaris?
Yes
Is that a c-tec?
nope, suzuki motor still. im suprised as ive never really seen anything bad about these stock suzuki motors
It was 30 degrees out.
Seriously bad luck there... In sweden we have a saying about such happenings, we say "Måndagsexemplar". Shit holds less quality if you bought it on a monday.
mine blew up in the same manner mwaaaaaaahhhblah tuck tuck blewwwww
Maybe don’t hold it wide open for that long 😂
I love it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Usually Cats are hard to blow up, mainly because first you have to get them started.
Wasup Fool mines a 03 f5 sno pro 13000 miles an starts 3 pull cold first warm
Can’t get skidoo’s started because of the tight bearings they always have
bad day poor Cat

Just ride it it's that easy
rip
Ride it
One way is just riding
Sound like it ran out of oil and seized. Not necessarily blew up.
curty85 it definitely destroyed the engine. You are part right thought. It didn’t run out of oil, but had an oil system failure which took out the engine.
this the new c tec engine then?
no, it's cats old engine. Really it's a fluke that this one blew up.
oic. im not a cat guy but support anything made in mn. i heard the new engine has been pretty good so far. but something about the turbo 4t and reliability of a 4t engine make s guy think about that route. havent looked too hard but they dont give out there weight numbers on those sleds.
4 strokes are heavy pigs. I bought a nytro mtx to use as a loaner sled, rode it once turned around and sold it.
Kent Kollath that is not 2018 new model
suzuki 800 is the shit. by far the best engine out there
To bad your buddy didn't wait a few more years and buy the new C-Tec 2 800
Ditch Kitty haha yeah, I’d love to see how the new cat stacks up vs our older pro’s/assaults.
Like the E-tec from ski-doo?
Tyler it was irony, arctic cat is copying ski doo’s engines. Arctic cat.. more like copy cat
USSR DOGGO What are you saying, arctic cats direct injection system is way different from the etecs. Just because they both have there injectors spraying fuel on top of the piston doesn't make em the same.
Ditch Kitty the c-tec 2 is almost same shit as the e-tec in the 850
Just start it
2000 ps
Mega oof
Well its and artic cat what do you expect
Expect it to be better ofc. Mine have been driven for 6400km without ANY engine failures, yet.
yah we run cats out here have been for years, they have always held up
Always ride cats pull out a shiz load of polis every year and they are always the first to post some smart azz remark when someone like this posts a vid. we don’t know how many miles the mix or aftermarket parts that are on this sled in the vid soooo feel free to post poli fans . Haha ain't that the truth!
How to blow up a arctic cat ride it a couple feet
How to blow up a skidoo, start it
How do you blow up an Arctic Cat? Just start it.
Get rid of oil injection and mix the gas these sleds would last forever with a stronger mix. Such a shame
corey rosler Haha not at all
Well that didn't take much 😂😂
It even sounded like shit before it blows up you can tell something is wrong with it
As I like to call them Artic scrap.
Haha, I have had Cats for the last 18 years I have been riding, and I've been fortunate enough to have good luck. The only ones that have blown up were my modded ones and usually because I leaned them out too much, but that was my fault.

Fucking artic cat
Buy a new sled from #biglakearcticcat
Lol
buy a polaris
You can’t
12000 grand down the drain
????
$500 rebuild
Why the video name is how to blow up an artig can but he not blowed up IT???
What are you saying? Clearly the engine blew up. Or were you expecting a big fire ball and it flipping 10X time from a explosion? Sorry bud this isnt hollywood.
The thing clearly seized
The motor defiantly locked up.....
And kids this is an example of why you get Yamaha, Ski-doo, or Polaris. Don’t get no ditch pickle
Tyler haha, no thats false dude. Polaris is the worst. You dont have to be a genious to find that out.
The chassies on the polaris is the best, but not the most durable, and the engines are the best and just as durable as the others.
you're just really bad luck the m8000s are very good engine
How to blow up an arctic cat. Just ride it. Then buy a Polaris
common get a yamaha not a polaris lol .. go for better not worst
Cats are the best

How to blow up a Polaris, start it then buy an arctic cat
You didint blow up the artig cat!
Hampus Lindberg skaru slåss eller
It's dumbass
It's a Cat. There easy to blow up.
Mason Wengeler by forever you mean 2 seasons?
So why you so sour to arctic cat? as i see it every company has had major issues. i think your comment reflects more on the you when you make general assumptions like this.
MrShadowncream Maybe if They did something different than Yamaha I might give them more respect.
False. The owner meticulously maintains it or had the dealer do it. Constantly has had issues with it. Shit sled, shit dealer. dealership doesn't even sell sleds anymore. #garbage.
AKproXR thank you! Hopefully these comments stop.
Best way to not blow up an arctic cat...
Don’t ride an arctic cat...
Arctic cat sucks
