    Simon,
I think you should start considering the canned on date.
Beers are quite different when outdated.
    Thanks,
    Chris

Sierra Nevada seems to be the only massive brewery left around in America that has kept their standard of quality over the time.
What a shame from Stone... Hope you've been well, Simon! Cheers!

Stone Hazys aren't great but they are trying to improve. The West Coasts are still good. You should give the can date on your reviews because that plays a role in the hop character

I gave the benefit of a doubt tonight and tried this beer, and I completely agree with you-this is total garbage, coming from Stone. They could do better, but apparently they don’t care. This beer literally tastes like ever so slightly hazy “light” beer. It tastes nothing like they advertise: “tropical, citrus, juicy, ‘An amazingly hazy IPA.’”
Thanks for giving an honest review on this garbage beer.

Simon, I'm always curious to know the canned-on date of the beers you review. Surely that has an impact on your experience, and is fair to the brewer (I type that while fully understanding you can't possibly drink everything fresh). Is that something you would consider disclosing in future reviews? Keep up the great work. 🍻

I just had that yesterday. About 9e here in Finland :) Raw malt and grain. Not for me...

These are $2.99+ tax USD per 19.2 oz can here in the states

Being in California the cans are hit or miss to. I would much rather hit their breweries and drink fresh Stone there.

Greetings. I live in the US and began working as a delivery driver for a craft beer distributor. They gave me a case of this same beer for free. Never tried ipa or any other craft beer in my life. With that said, it's terrible tasting. It's as if they managed to harness the odor of freshly laid carpet which has been treated with dupont stain guard and made a beer taste just like it. It's really bad

The only real way to judge a beer is blind. Do it for real, put your skills to the test without allowing price or labels get in the way. It's all about how it looks and tastes, talk about price after you've rated it. Your reviews are good, you want them to be honest but they can't be honest unless it's a blind taste test.

Ya I would agree. Like he said he comes into these reviews with too many preconceived notions.

Well when you just had what you called one of the best pale ales and then compare this beer to that it doesn't seem like an independent review. Also as mentioned in other comments, you fail to mention the canned on date. It does seem like you had planned your review before you opened it.

it's a shame for sure, exactly the same as vocation have done with life and death.
