- I finally hit the 1 year milestone since I begun my journey to learn the Harp. It's never too late for anyone to start their own journey. The video is my harp practicing progress throughout the year from Oct 2021 - Oct 2022 all about practice, nothing perfect lol.
A B O U T
I'm a self-taught adult harp beginner working on my harp adventure. Hopefully giving inspiration to all other new beginners learning new instruments is never too late for everyone.

Thank you :)
Your year journey has proved to be pretty inspiring to me, as a beginner you have learned so much, Congratulations! And much more success ahead💐!! and only hope that l can achieve the same in my journey! 👍👍👍
Thank you, glad the video inspired you ☺️everyone will have their own special journey. Hoping you achieve your learning goal and enjoy the process🥰
Amazing! Thanks for sharing your journey with us. I've been with Christy for over 4 years and am nowhere near as accomplished as you. There was a lack of dedication on my part, but sharing your video is just the kick in the pants I needed. Thanks again, you keep on harping on 🥰
☺️Thank you, I have slow down my progress due to early pregnancy. It was so fun to look back my progress from beginning. I glad that record everything since I began harping 🥰
This is so encouraging 🥲
It was fun to look back at all the progress! It's never too late to start something new in our lives.☺☺☺
I'm impressed!!!!
Thank you
I haven't started yet because I have 4 broken strings and my Tuning Key is missing. I'm going to call Lyon & Healey this week to see what I can do about all that, but our local music store couldn't help me when I took it there years ago, so I don't know what will happen. I just hope that I can play as well when I've been at it for a year. A secret part me thinks I'm nuts for trying this, but I really want to see how I do. Wish me luck!!!! Thanks for sharing your music. It's beautiful.
Thank you.
Don't worry about feeling apprehensive when starting something new like learning to play the harp. Every musician had to start somewhere, and it's never too late to start. You're taking the right steps by reaching out to Lyon & Healy to address the issues with your harp. Learning a musical instrument is a rewarding experience😀, so don't be too hard on yourself, have fun, and enjoy the process! Looking forward to seeing you share the progress!Good luck! ☺
@@loharchan Thanks, Lohar!
I realize this post is 8 months old, but if you can't find a tuning key a drum key often works.
Thanks. @@Aaron-xq6hv I took a chance on a key that fits an autoharp, and it works!!! Yeaaa!!!! I wouldn't order strings without a tuning key. Still need to do that part, but I have to learn what brand this harp is. I've been told it's a Roosenbeck (I don't know how it's spelled, and Spellcheck won't help) with mising hardware, so II need to know more about it. It's a 19-string harp 30" tall, but I've tried ordering, and I'm just going to need help from a store. Maybe a video conference? Thanks for your response.
I don't see my reply, but if you see it, I didn't mean a vid conference with you......I meant with a store that handles supplies specifically for MY harp. Sorry 'bout that.@@Aaron-xq6hv
Very good and inspirational! I keep putting off learning the acoustic guitar myself... will pick it up soon as I will be self teaching myself too.
Thank you ☺️it’s never too late to learn a new instrument 🫶🏻
I honestly think that and piano provides a very soft learning curve when it comes to the harp.
Sounded good only weeks in, 🧐👍 very nice. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
i had totally no idea what I was doing in first week 🤣
@@loharchan Glad you stuck with it. 🏆
Wow! You're progressing way faster than I am, and I practice hours every day. You're doing awesome!! Do you have a personal teacher?
Hello Jeannine, 😊 thank you.
No, I haven’t get a chance to find a teacher in person. Only source I used is Christy Lyn and other online sources .but I do have some piano experience😄
I’ve heard practicing for long periods of time can actually be detrimental to your progress rather than beneficial! Most recommend 30 mins a day, a few times each day spaced out between your other daily things
🙏💜
🥰
She's a natural I think. Well done!
Thank you ☺️
I am waiting for my double harp that I am having built be finished.
Congrats 🎉 enjoy your new harp ☺️
Wow you made me feel my dream of playing the harp is possible thank you so much.
Could you tell me how many hours did you practice daily?
Hello, glad my video have inspired you. I avg practice 30 minutes to 1hour daily, skip holidays /weekends. Consistency is key to make progress. 🤗
@@loharchan wow you must be so naturally talented you made impressive progress. Can I just know, are you already a professional musician in other instruments?
This video inspired and encouraged me Pls lohar or anyone help me , I'm gng to buy harp but there are no harp shops at all in India I think so, I should buy online pls help me how to approach and select the correct harp to buy in online and how much cost is your harp, pls tell ur strings
Glad that this video inspired you. ☺️Are you interested in any of harp yet? I bought my first harp on Amazon and noticed it was not I really liked. I end up buying another one after few months. The first one cost $1600(36 strings)and the larger one cost $5700(40strings) The larger one( Lyon and Healy) is made to order. I waited about 10 months to receive my harp. At the meanwhile I used rental harp (34 strings)from local harp professionals and it cost $90 per month. Feel free to join learning the harp group and post a question on Facebook. There are lots folks willing to help you out 😊
1:38 I'm sure I've heard it but I don't know where
Hello, it’s green sleeve 😊
