Controversial take : ridiculously OP mythical or a duo locked behind a pay wall is not better than Tara’s and marichka meta 😂😂
No doubt, its so much worse now. We can at least pull 2-4 void legos a year without buying and with minimum effort in game after CB and doomtower is on auto. Now its 1 mythical every 1.5 - 3 years for only very end game players who farm live arena and hydra clash for 1000's of hours

I think we need something to spice up PvP for the entire community. I know for a fact the majority of players simply don't care about PvP. They do the required matches for the dailies, get some great hall medals, skip live arena most days because they can't compete anyway.
Throw in a tournament that everyone gets rewards, just for participation. 1 week 10 matches a day. There can be a reward for every x matches played. Then there's performance rewards too. Make the rewards ramp up in worth, just like other tournaments. Make sure the rewards are worth the time investment. The tournament could have some fun restrictions like cursed city. It could even cap stats at certain values. Whatever it takes to make people want to engage with PvP for a little while.

Pvp is awful in any p2w game, that's just how it is. No matter your merit, the next guy who wants to spend more money than you wins, simple as that.
Make live arena have a daily quest like classic that gives an energy refill. Guaranteed participation.
Live Arena is dead for most
@alien7ss they could make so many things with Live Arena but....
the only reason they are "out of the meta" is because mythicals came around and they are a lot more op, which is the exact thing everyone was worried about when they announced mythicals. It seems to get even worse as more of them come out too.

Also using a lot of Alaz in high g4 live. He is really strong when enemies don’t have buff strip.
The way you think out loud for us as you do Live arena is very helpful to someone like me not as experienced in making such decisions
@Skratch; Do CC's ever get feedback from Plarium on game mode stats? Have to assume the engagement in live arena is really trending downward. My clan is mostly endgame players and no one plays it because of how bad the experience is.

I loved arena, once upon a time, then Armanz came to the game. A champion who only has one counter, polymorph….counters should not be RnG based. Not sure what plarium was thinking when they released Armanz….but it’s not working. Arena is back to 100 percent speed meta. Who ever goes first with Armanz wins. And you don’t even need a nuker anymore, you can have Armanz and any lockout, as long as you go first, and you will win. It’s boring, it’s not fun, and he is 100 percent killing arena gameplay.
Agree, i'd rather play against Marichka Taras Sun Wukong UDK narses etc than Armanz. I just stopped playing live Arena since the release of Armanz, it killed the PvP
Naw, I've flipped over matches their Armanz went first in live. It's buildcraft and strats
I win against Armanz, granted it's with a 940 resistance Krixia.
But the point is valid, Armanz has the highest win/ban percentage in the game. Even beating out Galothir and Krixia.
Tormin in in a dedicated CC build (no nuker) works 65% of the time for me
Change arena to select 6 ban 2. That should fix it. Easy peezy.

I don't think Armanz should get nerfed just make a counter. They should release a new fusion champ like Tormin.
They will. They have been doing the same thing the past few years with added extras. Release over powered champion, people spend money for shards and souls on that champion. Then come out with counter champion and do it all over again.
Not sure why the bulk of players should care about kraken economics?
I do want to add that I enjoy your live-arena videos. I get to see stuff I will never see in my own game! But the most I can manage over the demise of the Taras-Marichka meta are a few crocodile tears!

pvp is slowly declining... i hate live arena more than just about any part of the game now... even hydra
Well live was terrible from the get-go. It is too bad, they could have actually created a good game mode copied a bit from riot games where they have rotating champs and the only gear sets you can use are provided by the game (you can pick from different options though). If they removed the pay to play aspect it could have been competitive. Since it was a separate game mode, they also could have removed the crap blessings and gear sets (reaction gear, stoneskin, etc) and the champs who are most problematic. Could have been really fun. I think it would have brought more people into the game who would have spent (the casino model vegas adopted when the old stupid method was shown to be stupid... too bad a gambling company is stuck in the mindset of vegas 60 years ago). They also could have offered a lot more skins.

I have Galathir but I really struggle against lockout teams. I really wish I got Krixia instead of him. She is super busted
Noooo, I have both and Galathir is better. Put your fastest gear and make him high res. He gets banned more than Krixia because his kit is more lock out and diverse.
@@johnnierichardson3289 I have 840 resist 220 speed and it's not enough. When I'm facing teams with krixia she is waaay faster than me. He resists the lockout, but the rest of my team is useless and if enemies have 2 turn stoneskin and they win the 50% protected SS, I can't lock their team like krixia does to mine
@Valentin_Teslov oh yeah, he needs to be fast. Mine is slow at 300 speed. And Krixia can't be stunned in form 1 so that is why I use her and him together.

I also have both, galathir is far better. Id do 1 turn stoneskin, say like 700 resist and at least 300 speed

Polymorph is okay all together but if they remove it as a blessing it will all be fine.
The new meta is krixia, 2 sigfrunds and lazarius all +4 all fully awakened 1 million power. People spending 100k need to be nerfed.
Polymorph should only ever be 1 turn and shouldn't drop your speed or hp! It is way too strong!

Good show bud, can you maybe address the issue some of us 4 year players have with tag arena trying to get into gold or even silver 3-4? What are the numbers, like 3-4m players and 7k spots to be in gold 1. Even being low spend, I have not been able to get in to gold 1. Thanks if you can bring this up somewhere. Stay safe.

Been playing a long time the meta has changed so many times people spend a fortune trying to get the champs then they change it… It’s just rinse and repeat for the overall dick swing and Payrium get richer and we all get poorer. Gave up chasing this game a long time ago
Taras & marich need a good nerf, a champ that can do INSANE Dmg! Survivability, and tanky all in 1 is just ridiculous, When i see a level this DUO i just leave.
Tarishka was never a problem like Armanz is.
