bro im going all out i got a stage 1 tune on stock downpipes , i ordered downpipes when im getting those on im doing stage 2, also got new brakes , rotors, air filters , spark plugs, on race oil now, etc… also ordered arm front mount intakes they said when i get the downpipes intakes and tune i should be running 640-680 hp rn without it im running 545 and with the stage 1 its a little more sharper but you can definitely notice it , i say fuck it and just go all out on yours lol nothing wrong with adding better parts
My ‘21 540 x drive got a factory software update to improve acceleration because the 5 series x drives were not meeting published performance specs. It made a big difference on the 540 so I’d assume they did the same for 550 which was to make sure it exceeded the numbers so the detractors would stop claiming BMW was overstating numbers. These are forced induction motors and there were accusations of underperformance so BMW ‘tuned’ it to shut everyone up. That’s why it’s so fast in my opinion.
Get an XHP transmission tune. Will make the launch control feature optimal to use in all conditions. Checkout my CZcams shorts. I have an x3 m40i and just got a 2020 m550 both have the same launch control feature and both felt very sluggish without the transmission tune. It’ll run you $4-500 but is well worth it as it took my 0-60 time down .4 seconds
I was literally just reading about xHP when you wrote this! So question, besides the launch control being affected, is the car overall just faster even when not using launch control?
Thanks Bro! I didn't know the true meaning of Launch CONTROL😅.Those are stock downpipe. All you need is a Tune and you could hang with a M5.
The LCI G30 550i is the ultimate Q car. The stealthiest of sleepers. Every owner is left surprised almost always and the novelty seldom wears off.

They are just mad your M550 is the ultimate sleeper and can keep up with most cars on the street 😂 Keep it up bro!
Keep in mind the WEIGHTS of both vehicles people.
Ignorance is bliss 😂
