man I always wanted a German engineered car but man the maintenance isn't for the faint of heart thats for sure!
own a G30 540i, great car, but transmission fluid alone was $900 and rear breaks were over 3k and you have to replace the rotors with the pads because they are matched. The car is not cheap but has had no issue for me.
Got to find a Indy mechanic when you own bmw out of warranty

I got a 2012 Volvo s80 getting like 17mpg. Fill up is like 65 dollars (93) in my area. It's rough but if you really enjoy the car, at least imo, it's worth it.

i have a 2016 acura, the cost is about the same from the dealer for that kindawork. BMW etc are not proper dailys. lol. a used civic or corolla is. lol From this point its at least 2grand a pop, and they are numerous as the miles pile on. yeah these cars remind us what time it is

This particular car is the best good looking car the way it drives and for safety non of the Japanese cars comes close to it people manipulate by Toyota and Lexus but don’t forget they’re copying from German cars German Manufacturers 100 years ahead from all other brands my advise it’s still alright we makes mistakes and we learn from it but for the next time try to buy the original parts and take it to your independent shops who also has knowledge of German cars and experience you will save money time be safe !

What downpipes? I don't have downpipes. And my warranty is still active. Warranty doesn't cover this type of incident
My bad my g I guess different warranty’s cover different shit. Mine covered when a hit a pot hole and it messed up my axel and my warranty covered it

Dealership = “stealership” …..better off to take your car to an aftermarket German repair shop if it’s not under warranty
for bimmers there is a good amount of ppl who work on the car themselves. if not, you are a slave to the car and the mechanic.
It's not costly to own a German car - it's costly to take it to the dealership and not do the repairs yourself lol

This specific instance was not related to overheating. It was a repair for a hole in the radiator from a foreign object. Nothing to do with the reliability and quality of BMW. BMW is top tier!
