If you want to go through all the checklists and weapon systems and everything, could take about an hour or two - but if you just want to get flying, maybe takes 5 minutes tops
@@Agilaz89 I thought it looked familiar! But I thought you couldn't see the pilot body in cockpit mode? Is it a mod or a setting I must've missed? That was what was throwing me off.
@@Agilaz89 That would explain it. I was struggling to wrap my head around staying alive and flying. Really wish I could afford a good setup to play it, because I love flight combat sims, but I can't really break into them because I have the memory of a goldfish and can't remember which keys do what while getting lock tones and trying to stay alive long enough to do something. That's one of the reasons I like VTOL VR so much: everything is manipulated by my hands instead of a keyboard. I heard about a mod that's trying to bring that same type of control to DCS, bit I don't think it's finished yet. When it does, though, I'd love to get back into it in earnest.
@@theguylivinginyourwalls If the cockpit is clickable, you can do the same with a mouse. And if not, the hardware part is simplified, so you don't need hundreds of keystrokes. Also, there is renewed old Falcon, which is still alive and kicking. The training there is... something else :) After that, DCS training missions are a godsend. But it's Falcon, so it still rules unchallenged.
I can imagine navy pilots bleeding from the eyes by seeing this lol
Bro they prolly having a brain aneurysm rn after seeing that

Title made me laugh so i clicked it.
I sure would have *SHART* my pants if it was me
got to hand it to ED, that undercarriage is pretty well modeled
I SHART regularly
do you now?
That was a shart for sure
Holy crap, how can you fly with that zoom setting
That’s what I was thinking, I play dcs professionally and I can’t zoom out ONE scroll.
Damn guy so many subs in so little time keep making more vids like this!
Ah yes I too have practiced the shart recovery.
When you realized you lost your left full drop tank
I loved this shart in particular,
It's the only one I ever saw
Cool
Good way to self "repair" mid flight.
/SHART
You might just be able to land that Hornet safely though a highly risky one.
Excelent shart technique
If you said "over-advanced" in the title it would've been short
Irl, that truck would have gotten absolutely destroyed by the jet blast
did he just purposely lowered the gear just to bounce back from the floor while flying? is he a newtype?
absolute detective right here
Proper title to describe such outrageous nonsense
How much time did it take for you to learn the f-18?

@@theguylivinginyourwalls it's standard in the newer planes atleast. Toggles with a keybind.
