Any lower and you'd need a drivers license instead of a pilots license! Very nice video. I wonder if having an extra 3 aircraft with you when you got to coffin corner would've been enough target saturation to get out in one piece?
I remember watching this in the cinema, and as the real mission start, I noticed everybody was DEAD SILENT. A drop of needle can be heard. Never experienced such thing on a movie. Truly amazing!
This film was absolutely INCREDIBLE! Especially the last like half hour while they were on the mission. That's as intense as it can get without it being the real thing. They definitely went all out. I think it's gonna be a very long time before we get another movie that has this much realism and intensity to it.

The last time I was on the edge of my seat during a scene like this one was when I was 5 years old and watching Star Wars for the first time when it came back to theater in the 90s and that was 28 years ago. Absolutely amazing scene in TGM
The film is still in the cinema, yet you've already accurately recreated the mission scene. That took a lot of hard work and dedication with impressive results. 👍
My wife does not like Tom cruise movies, but I dragged her to see this one and I look over to her at this end fight scene and she is on the edge of her seat hands in face and crying at the end. I go how was it, she looked at me and said best movie I have ever watched, I cried, I laughed, and I was on the edge of my seat what more could you ask out of a movie..
I just got chills watching this. Same feeling I got when the first SAM missile launched and they shot the flares in the movie, I was like "woooooahhhh"
So can someone explain to me why that volley of cruise missiles the Navy launched couldn't just target the nuclear in Richmond facility in the first place? But they will able to Target the runway facilities and other stuff right next to it?
I guess you could argue that the mountains on either side of the target mean the missiles won't be able to enter due to their speed; so aircraft are the only option
They mentioned in the mission brief that the enemy had GPS jammers around the canyon so cruise missiles were ineffective. IMHO growlers around a Herc dropping a MOAB would have been the best choice.
OMG please give us the coordinates and the bearing of that valley. This looks just like in the movie. Also very nice CCIP bomb drop. Would be really sick if someone would pull this off with actual GBU-12s and LITENING-II TPOD. 😂 I know you'd need a bigger mountain and some more seconds locking target. But you could use it in VVSLV (boresight) then lock in area/point-track and then lase and pull up. 😂👍👍👍
The film was great. HOWEVER, and this is a big but, I keep wondering how much better it might have been, had the original director of the first Top Gun movie, Tony Scott, had the opportunity to direct the film, and how all of the beautiful color saturation and cinematography of the first Top Gun might have been added to the second.
