- So Ashens sent me his fake Nintendo Switch (Powkiddy X2) because he wasn't very impressed with the buttons of the device. In his video (bit.ly/2HXbKmo) he said that the buttons were the main thing that let the device down. So he sent it to me! Can I make them better?

You get an “A” for effort. Part of the fun is, you managed getting the modification to work and with unbiased input, you know what needs to be tweaked. All successful companies have a “research and development” (RnD) department for just that reason

Joycons are some of the worst controllers I have ever used. Thin, clicky, hard to press GARBAGE

@@mortimermouse3086 I like them (especially since you can use them separated, it's nice to just lay my arms down by my sides and still be able to play), but I also have small hands and like the clickiness. Nothing is hard to press for me.
@@greentea5090 i love the fact that they can be separated but they are a tad small. Mainly the sticks are so small there isn't much precision. I usually turn on motion control with low sensitivity so I can get a little more precision by moving the right joycon to aim but not all games support it.
It's like a PSP joystick, not the Vita.
As soon as he said that I was enrageded for my poor old psvita.

I have a feeling Ashen's is joking with his part, just sounds like something he would say.
It does but it also sounds like genuine criticisms he regularly makes, it's pretty hard to tell
This is why I stopped watching Ashens. He shits on everything, and it really stopped being funny after the hundredth time. And half of the time, I'd flatly argue that he's dead wrong.

I love everything about this video, beginning to end. I felt for you when he said it was worse, but this video is so good it outweighs any of the bad of the console. I'm glad you tried it, I was hooked. You can't figure things out without screwing them up here and there, I know that from experience.

The Vita has proper analog sticks like the switch. Or should i say the switch has analog sticks like the Vita, cause you know it came out first xD
yep. Tho I'll be honest: I've never seen a single problem with the sliding stick, I have them all (...yeah, really) and none of the analog sticks feel bad. I'm just concerned about the Vita ones since you don't find them anywhere (vita 1000. The 2000 you can find sticks for), tho since they don't drift easily that's way less of a problem.

The PSVita has proper thumbsticks that pivot on a single point...the 3DS does have a slide pad type joystick like the PSP

@@marianokaz1503 Yeah playstation-ey. Hurts my fingers, wrists, my whole hand having to use those types of D-pads. Plus they look ugly and uncomfortable compared to every handheld/console Nintendo has made pre-3DS.
It still works better than the Pro Controller's D-pad

Ah, you are making a review on the first revision. The button issue was fixed, you can see this on my channel a side by side comparison. It's actually a really good unit with a D-PAD!

I hope to see more like this in the future, despite this video lacking a satisfying conclusion (other than "you can't polish a turd") this was a lot of fun and I think there's lots of potential here. I'd love to see weird mods with clone consoles too, like fitting one into a replacement shell for an original console or wacky form factors
