I'm new to the AL and had questions about the cap. Does it matter which style I get (state or city)? Or is that personal preference? Also, I'm moving early next year, would you recommend holding off ordering a cap until I get to my new post?
Per article 2 section 1 of the national constitution and bylaws of The American Legion, rank does not exist . Wearing ranks on the cover is contrary to that.
Marine emblem regs clearly specified as to where to wear it, and a reverse emblem on the right side is incorrect. I earned my Emblem at age 17, and will wear it on the LEFT side as USMC regs call for. Without that service I would not be in the Legion, so deal with it !

When placing a Legion cap on a flat surface, the Legion Emblem should be facing upwards.
