Thanks for answering my question! I'm so sorry people are mean for the sake of being mean. Constructive feedback is one thing (like when people (myself included) suggested you ditch your office to save money/give you peace of mind), but just awful rude people baffle me. I'm most proud of staying CALM and positive during some gnarly family issues. Setting healthy boundaries and holding firm with them. The other thing is letting go of that need to be accepted and liked. That DOES come with keeping my side of the street clean, which I keep in the forefront of my mind. But once I've done that, it's been so much easier to just let unnecessary things and people go from my life....or at least my attachment to them.
quit my toxic job with no back up and went on a trip ( despite them denying my leave twice)!! No regrets at all, landed a job the day before leaving and started the job the day i got back. I have an even easier job now, and was able to have such peace of mind the last year because of it. ( and even more travel!!)

Thank you for your transparency! I used to feel the same way about bills and sharing with a SO. I’m now 37 and have realized women bring a lot to a home and relationship that isn’t always tangible or quantifiable. Don’t ever feel guilty about earning less or paying less because you are bringing more to other areas 💜💜💜

agree! thats why I personally dont like 50-50 (but no judgement to those who do!)… i think each couple needs to work out what they are comfortable with so its fair to all and theres no resentment etc

Your intuition was spot on with the kitties - we had one of ours escape for the first time (I have had cats for decades) and it took 8 days to get back with searching, tracking, cameras, etc. Focusing on the positive here, which is things happen and we have to learn to work with it and not beat ourselves up when we make mistakes. Nicely done, Zoe on being out in front of it! 💝
I am proud of both how I am learning my to manage anxiety (guided meditation, dedicating a set time to stress and move on, more exercise built in, and therapy). We are not our anxiety and stress! Have a great vacation. ☀️

Great response to the rent question. JS found a smart one. What qualities do you seek in a partner during this stage of our lives, particularly in someone in their early twenties like myself?
When I got serious about JS (because we were friends before) our dates were like interviews 😂 but it was fun and exciting! We basically made sure we were on the same page about our futures and our goals and from the beginning I was able to dream about life with him. Personally, I think that is so important. Also that this person is supportive of you and your dreams is really key. Imo you want someone you can build with while having fun in the present.

Love the videos ❤ I was waiting for that last question regarding paying rent to your partner when you’re living with them😂 I’m going to be moving in with my boyfriend this year after I get a car. I’ve seen some people say don’t pay him rent for the mortgage because you don’t own it and that the woman should just pay like utilities or something. The property taxes are included in my boyfriend’s mortgage and he pays HOA fees. We’re trying to figure out what would be a fair thing for me to pay and I learn more towards contributing to the bills of the things I use instead of just paying him for the mortgage.
When you pay him rent, do you just Venmo or Cashapp him or directly contribute to those bills? This is going to be my first time living with a man. I’ve lived with parents my whole life.

I like how you answered the last question about paying rent to your boyfriend.
My husband bought a condo when he was much younger. He lived there with his ex-girlfriend for a while, and when she left him she asked for compensation for all the money that she had paid him over the time of her living there because he had an investment and she didnt. This always infuriated me, because she would have paid rent anywhere. It makes no sense to me that she didnt think she should be paying.
About a year after they broke up, i moved in(i never met his ex, just to be clear) and i never saw a problem with splitting bills with him. He paid the city taxes, but we split the rest of the expenses. And guess what? We eventually got married, sold his condo and bought a house together. So his investment became my investment. And honestly i am so grateful that he had the condo because i would never have been in a position to purchase a home without him, and we now have a beautiful home and two children.

My partner and I have a house and he pays the mortgage, but i pay all of our groceries and our wifi plus my own bills. It works for us, but we also both contributed to the house buying and our names are both on the home deed.

I always thought that the way you pay rent to a loved one is that you pay for the utilities/ tax/ condo fees/ etc, as long as it's below market rate, and they pay for their mortgage. That's at least how I would do it. So, in my opinion, you're doing it just right.
I definitely agree with you about how you handle paying rent and that situation. I have a friend who lives with her partner who owns a home and she pays rent and that is all fine. But she is also wants to help pay for things like…. Repairing/upgrading plumbing (that she didn’t break obviously), fixing appliances (again, that she didn’t break), etc. and that kind of stuff I wish she would understand is not her responsibility. Especially when she doesn’t even have enough money to comfortably cover her own expenses and save.
Zoey it's your choice of words that you are using, all you have to say is that you are contributing to your boyfriend's apartment cause saying paying rent it's what confusing the entire situation. Now that you are explaining the situation it's understandable, what you are doing anyone will do the same.

I completely agree about the splitting money stuff. My partner and i have been together for 11 years. Theres this really odd popular narrative online that women shouldn't be paying their equal share... i truly don't understand it. He earns and has worked hard for the money he has/ makes. Same for me! Have you had any issues with content creation and how your content is mostly about your life so there isn’t a ton of separation of your work (content) and your life? From the way you talked about it it seems like you don’t. At least right now. Just curious of additional thoughts on that!
I actually feel like I have more balance in a way, because when I was working corporate I was so stressed and paranoid, that I would think about work 24/7. Now I think about content probably 20/7 (lol) but they are enjoyable thoughts rather than stressful. So I way prefer this and feel more balanced 💖
