I felt so bad hearing those exact words and I think that is a major problem, every single one of them is so scared to make a mistake , that is why we see so many back passes and sideways passing. No one is willing to take a risk. On the other hand I think this is as a result of years of the team coming short of expectation. The whole fan base is so frustrated with the results. We need a manager that can change that mentality. That is the major problem, and you can see that with Man Utd too.

Xhaka criminally underrated by social media fans but match going fans and true fans can see the effect this man has on the team. Without him we are lost in midfield. Xhaka deserves respect, and I hope this video goes a way in repairing the rift he has with the fans. He still has a lot to give here. For me, Xhaka is the captain without the armband. He does not need the metaphorical symbol of the band around his arm, when he is on the pitch, in the media, for his national team - he is a natural captain and he is always striving for the best for this club. Respect, Granit.

    • @langletprolet8378

Sergio Ramos’ case is way different than Xhaka’s. Because of Ramos’ big achievements on the pitch and relationship with the fans and media. Xhaka is nowhere near as succesful in these stuff. It’s not about the disciplinary records.

Sergio Ramos is elite and Xhaka is not... he's a good player on his day but he isn't Ramos. Plus Xhaka's hatred comes from his stupidity in big moments. Ramos is aggressive, but not stupid on the pitch. Xhaka even whinging in this interview completely leaves out his own responsibility in making it worse... even now, he keeps harping on that 1 moment. He's as much to blame for the fractured relationship as the fans at this stage.

Granit Xhaka has been the most consistent player across the last two seasons at Arsenal, he deserves respect for that, people like to point out only what benefits their preconceived ideas. Arsenal football club has the core of it’s values set in the ideas respect and class, nothing of that is shown when someone’s life is threatened, true fans stand by our successes as much as the hardships, someone who identifies with Arsenal should never threaten a club servant, let alone their family. Xhaka has shown again and again his passion for the club and how much he cares, i’m tired of people amplifying his mistakes and undermining his ability and commitment, he is a true leader amongst players and it’s time for the fans to acknowledge the passion and commitment, time to move on, I know I already have, come on Granit, right behind you and the rest of the lads. They are elite. Are you happy being 5th? Are you happy us bottling 4th? Why can we not criticize? When did critisism became the same as abuse? They are trying to supress the voice of the fans. Boos is often the easiest and most recognisable way of criticism. Are we not allowed to do even that? People pay hundreds of pounds to watch the game, just for a win(eg Manchester city at home) to be taken away from our hands because granit doesn't give a fuck and he is who he is. And we should tolerate him giving away a penalty. Him giving away penalty vs brighton at home, the season with emery, bottling us yet another top 4. He doesn't forgive, why should we? Lets all clap our hands and call these so player Elite, just because he made a coming out video.
