    I would like to remind folks that chaps are an inexpensive safety device for the new and experienced. Worth every penny.

    Those "safety chains" always give me a chuckle because all they do is make the raker bigger but kickback is caused by the cutting edge. Until you learn just draw a line from the top of the bar to the last sproket rivet and another line to the tip and that is highest risk for kickback no matter what chain you have.

    unless I'm mistaken (if so please correct me) you should never cut anything with your head/body in alignment with the chain bar. Always stand to the side OR DO NOT CUT. This will all but eliminate any hazard from kickback. If you're a Newbie to using a chainsaw definitely use the semi-chisel chain until standing to the side becomes 2nd nature.

      You are mistaken.sell your chainsaw.

      No no no if you hold your chainsaw to the side you are off balance. There are two kinds of kickback one where you use the back of the saw and cut upwards will cause the chainsaw to push back suddenly if it catches and on the other course is the tip of the saw comes in contact with a piece of timber behind the log that you are cutting or you're trying to plunge cut incorrectly.

    i put a full skip on one of them knock off 660 saws on a 28 bar and that thing cuts so fast. i was gonna go cut down n dead this year but went down with a bad case of sciatica. not sure its gonna be in the cards now and if it is i may be getting a splitter.

    Information is very good, sound quality is poor.
    People in your videos really should use some PPE! Having people in shorts or leggings demonstrating the use of the cahinsaw gives new and less experienced users (I would guess are the majority of viewers) a feeling it is OK to do it this way. IT IS NOT!
    Always wear hearing and eye protection and chaps or protection pants and shoes.

    Useful video, horrendous audio, with volume jumping very high and then phasing off too low to hear you clearly. Maybe an investment in a good mic would make your videos more tolerable to watch, listen to. Thanks for the effort anyways.

      @inclinedtoplane2924 Před 3 měsíci +2

      I didn’t notice any of that, wonder if it is maybe your audio?

    • @naamangeist7843
      @naamangeist7843 Před 3 měsíci

      Just watched it again to about the 1 minute mark. Audio drops off at :38 then is loud and distorted at 1:00 and continues this way throughout the video, usually loud and distorted at the beginning of a scene change and then drops too low to hear well seconds later. I have a Pioneer Elite audio receiver/amplifier and Klipsch tower 5.1 speaker system so it's not my audio system and I'm not experiencing this with other CZcams videos. Maybe it's your video editing software or settings? Either way, I got useful information from the video so thanks for that.@@inclinedtoplane2924

    • @naamangeist7843
      @naamangeist7843 Před 3 měsíci

      I take that back, it's going loud and quiet more than once per scene. At 1:47 "Full chisel" is very loud and distorted and then drops very low and then jumps up again a few seconds later "the reason for this" in the same scene. That's what made me think it was a mic issue. It does always seem loud and distorted at the beginning of each scene change though so it may still be your software. Or maybe some sort of volume leveling feature on your action cam. I think I remember having this issue with some of my GoPro footage in the past. @@inclinedtoplane2924

    2:09 Is it mandatory to ask viewers to do the whole thumbs up, subscribe, like thing? Does CZcams send you a message saying, "You should probably ask users to like your video, in your video." as advice on how to grow your channel? For instance, Uber tells its drivers to provide water bottles to increase their ratings. It's bogus, you can drive Uber and have a great rating without providing water or snacks, but some drivers do it just because they're told to. The way you interjected it into your video makes it seem really artificial. Like, wouldn't people just like your video on its merits and subscribe to you if they think they want to see more? Do you asking people to subscribe might alienate users who really like your content and want authentic advice on chainsaws? It almost says you're more concerned about running a CZcams channel than you are about chainsawing. Anyway, you can put whatever you want in your videos, but I honestly am curious what inspires otherwise good CZcamsrs to put the little subscription blurb in their video. WhistlinDiesel does the best parodies of that, if you want to get a sense of how silly it is to ask viewers to subscribe.

    • @HipaParts
      @HipaParts  Před rokem +1

      It is a good question, and honestly my answer is mixed. I personally feel about the same way you do. But in my experience making CZcams videos (on this channel and elsewhere) and looking at analytics for about 5 years as well looking at countless creator resources (including CZcams's own resources), it does actually make a difference in sub counts. And yes, CZcams own tutorial resources recommend doing a "call to action" in some form. That said, I try to keep it super short and super noticeable/awkward. It makes it easier to skip if one is just scrolling through the video as many do. All the best and don't forget to like and subscribe!😁

      I can’t believe that you took the time to write this comment. Ya, it’s annoying. Ya, everyone does it. The goal for these channels is to get more viewers and subscribers etc. getting people to like and subscribe is the way to do that. Take it up with CZcams and the garbage changes they’ve made to the platform and the algorithm.

    You probably should not say anti kickback chain. That is very bad to say. Reduce kick back is better to said. Say anti kickback is a law suit waiting to happen. And every chain can and will kickback. I have some of your products. One I really like and the other one needs your engineer team to work out lots of problems out. But that just my thoughts.
