- Blake's bike cave is really starting to look awesome now! In the 3rd episode, he covered up that horrible looking gas meter thing which also became a great storage solution. In this episode, he installs the doorknobs and a crazy multi-colour light set has a fresh delivery of tools from our friends at Park Tool, and does a LOT of sanding 👷♂️🤘

So Blake, what kind of tea are you drinking in these videos?
Blake: "We've still got episode 5 and 6 to go"
Me: happy noises
This has too be one of my favorite GMBN series ever.
I love how Blake is excited about everithing.
Mmm door knobs
Teacher: "What would you do when you grow up?"
Pupil: "Blake!"
Teacher: "Sick!"
Hell yeah.🤜🤛😎👍
I'm starting to think Blake is either on an insane amount of caffeine or some sort of an upper for real
Pure electricity
Yes I think the same
omg after the ending little "dance rave" i totally agree hahaha
Definitely the caffeine and sugar but I think he also huffed a little too much sawdust. 😂🤣
To much cake from his wife
I feel like some wood stain would really elevate the look all th cabinets
I reckon paint rather than stain, make it look more lively
@@davidlawson1662 ok paint the cabinets but at least stain the work top.
Whatever it is, there should be SOMETHING to seal the wood. It will stay nice so much longer that way.
I would use a hard stain as used on floors. I didn't and as the wood is soft, a few dents and deep scratches have come through.
6:18 when she walks in while your playing with your knob... 🤣🤣
blake is like my inner emotion that i never want to let out😂
Love how enthusiastic you are all the time mate! Brightens up anyone's day watching your videos. Keep up the awesome work! Inspires me to get out and build something!
like sam pilgrim everyday is a dream lol
Dont we all just love how funny, crazy and how bad Blake's dancing is?😃 luv u Blake
Thank you for running this series. It is entertaining and it lays the bike cave building process down quite logically. .Blake is an amazing guy. He has many talents as we have seen in many videos and not the least of which is carpentry. He even routers the edges! And he must be a very good family man because his wife brings him tea, cakes and cookies. The cake looks delicious by the way. Ride your bike, build your bike cave and eat cake - what a life.
I would love to see the other gmbn presenters reaction
I'm so invested in this series, Blake should have his own GMBN spin off- exclusively on builds. SICK!
That was by far the best ending of any GMBN video!!!! Your enthusiasm for life is amazing Blake!
I wasn't a huge fan of Blake before I started this series... But I am now his biggest fan. Please give this man more housework and construction to do PLEASE
Blake is such a kid at heart i love it 😂
Blake is the kind of happy mountain biking golden retriever I want to be. Life goals, life goals.
Also to have a bike shed. Life goals.
Great video, I would recommend sealing the work top, save having oil stains in the wood.
Ive used TraeLyx on mine and my wooden garage floor. Its a lacker for livingroom wooden floors (intense use), water based, quick drying and acid and oil repellant 👍
3 layers with slight sanding in between and youre guaranteed stain free 😁
I love the extra matt one so it doesn't shine and reflect and it keeps its woody looks 😊
Do yourself a favor - watch this again at x2 speed and you will see Blake could quite easily pass as the maddest mountain bike rider/ carpenter / presenter out there. AND ITS GREAT!!!!
20 min? Felt like 10!
Get park tool and gmbn stickerzzzz!!
And more stickers..... And more stickers....
Stickers make you faster (Seth‘s bike hacks) 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
@@maxpol6196 YEEP!
Thats what is he saying
Holy cow! I completely forgot what your garage had looked like before. What an amazing transformation Blake!!! Just absolutely stunning the way it's turned out.
Whoa! When Blake doesn't get to shred, all that energy clearly builds up! Bike cave lookin' sick, but I feel it could do with some more colour. Maybe all the tools & equipment will provide that.
Wow that is a work of art!! Inspiring!!! Props to Mrs Blake and Little Man for their support and tea and cookies and a FANTASTIC cake!!!
I used to think Blake was showing off in front of the camera and a bit of a knob (door). But after seeing this series of videos I’ve realised I got it wrong. He is so excited and enthusiastic about everything he does. Brilliant and inspiring and I’m off to the shed to sort my ‘Bikitchin’. Can’t wait for next episode.
Put a kettle in mate. You'll love it! Great vids, best thing going round 🤘
Blake, you should be so proud. I feel your joy, bro!
Yes blake!!! Been counting down the days!!! If you had a video of you eating a bit of toast it would still be interesting and fun!!!
Innuendo much in this one Blake, had me in stitches 🤣🤘
To Keep that worktop looking fresh, id recommend sealing the surface with polyurethane finish to prevent stains from oil, grease, tea etc.
Yes Blake! Looks bloody awesome! I hope you are going to do a tour at the end of it to show us all the goodies you no doubt have!
100% will do
I love watching these videos they brighten my day
Pro Tip: Put a piece of frosted perspex over the LED's that downlight the worktop. It'll create a softer light that doesn't create load of little shadows. Far, far better light to work by.
Other than that top work!
That ending lights / dance sequence is brilliant!!!! GMBN meets 90's rave. Hilarious. Can't wait to see the bike storage Blake. I have to build mine soon as I have one garage wall and 8 bikes to store......(only 3 of them are mine - it's a family rack!)
You should put frosted plastic over the led’s so you don’t need to look at the LED’s and the light will be more dispersed.
If you get some frosted acrylic and put it underneath your top cabinet, it should diffuse the leds a lot more and could look sick. Builds awesome dude! Gonna be rewatching when I can build my bike cave!
way way KOOL Blake, not only can you ride the heck out of a bike but you've built a great bike cave.
Love, love, love this series Blake. And your boundless energy from your sense of accomplishment is nothing short of awe inspiring!!! Good work fella!
This is coming along great! I think it's important in every workshop to have a bench vice (Something that can clamps things). Life can work without it. But so nice when cutting wood, handlebars. Or why not just hold the tea cup.
Yes. So agree with you but the problem with me I have to do all my bike stuff of the lawn which is not great like we have 2 large gardens but like some space in sheds but they got like wood and lawn mowers and a toilet and 3 motorbikes. And like in the bike shed there is 6 bikes and if you want to get the other bikes you have to take them all out and there is like only 1foot to move in their. But I so agree with you 💯. But I love to have a work shop. 👍😎🤜🤛🚵♂️. Ps stay safe. 👍
I didnt know how I survived before my woodworkers vice, then when I got my engineers vice too I didn’t know how I survived with just the one! Can’t have too many vices
The sheer enthusiasm is wonderful in this dark times. Great video
Blake you smashed this one out of the park. Awesomeness!!!
This is for sure the best thing from GMBN. Just lovin it. Good wood work Blake! Great skills you show there 😎👌
Security system for your prized possessions. Great stuff Blake!!!!!!!!
On fire!!! Keep building and sharing those videos with all your fans please!!
I was doing renovations this weekend and I totally did the dance at 13:37 at the start of each day. Good way to get hyped up for the work ahead.
Blake, id recommend putting rubber mats down on the floor! It’ll make standing at your awesome workbench a lot easier! And not so tiring!
In my father's shed there was a simple pulley system with a little weight at the wall and a pencil hanging in the middle over the table. When we needed it, just pulled it down, used it then released back up. It was quite handy and never had to look for that damn pencil.
It could be a cool addition for your shed too, maybe as an interchangeable version, so you can hang many different kind of tools, depending on what you need often.
Stoked on how this build is getting along! Cant wait to see how Blake will taclke the bike storage!
Just how excited Blake is each time he gets a bit done 👍 Good Video
The most productive thing I've done during this quarantine is been watching these videos! Danm that bike cave looooooks amaze!
Its really funny how excited you get about this horrible door knobs. Next time you can just make some rounded big holes so you can just put your fingers there and open the door. Great work, man, your cave looks amazing.
Blake your face when you said you had wood 😂😂😂
Bike Cave is looking sick dude 👊
Race in the Cave love it
Awesome video series Blake and GMBN👍👊
Blake, I am a cabinet maker by trade and a mountain biker for fun! Let me say, you make a much better cabinet maker than I make a freerider!!! Great job! Enjoy "the cave"!
That looks incredible Blake, we'll done! I love watching you being so excited.
Like an excitable puppy being taken to the park for the first time. Good stuff.
The bike shop is looking awesome bud. You're a pretty good carpenter and I'm stoked to see it finished. Maybe you can paint your shelves and cabinets in the GMBN colors which would look freaking outstanding. Keep up the hard work and thanks so much for sharing and staying upbeat even though you can't hit the trails. Our trails are open and I'm heading out this morning to ride them and get away from the house for a bit. Stay safe.
That dancing at the end looks like a tarantula after eating its meal lol. Loving this build series though 🤘🏿
Defo need a little fridge for cake in there and a kettle for ya tea!
Blake! Would look so tidy under the shelf to hide the led strips if you put a frosted perspex to give nice diffused light and keep it clean lookin. Jusy an idea, your build looks super pro! Nice job :)
Power packed and Amazingly engaging series this .. Time just flies watching Blake in his elements .. Good on you mate .. Cheeersss .. Can't wait for Ep 5 ..
Man, a perfect start of a day! Thank you!
Hey Blake, nice Cave! But as an carpenter I would put some wood oil on your desk. It makes it easy to clean and looks nice👍
Just Love that guy 😅 so positive character 👌👍 we need more people like you
Never seen someone so excited about a doorknob 😂 Blake is such a nice guy!
clear varnish everything, then resin the worktops, makes them easier to clean, hard wearing and brings out the grain.
This one of the best series of GMBN
You are a real upper on this difficult times! I just can’t wait to see the full work on that AMAZING Bike Cave! Best regards from Mexico City!
Watched ep.1 and just had to continue to ep.4. Your enthusiasm for this project is awesome, it's inspiring AND it looks amazing! Can't wait for 5 & 6. Keep up the great work 🔨👍👊🙂
This is looking so good!!!! Super stoked to be following along, and definitely feeling inspired. I really hope you put some finish on your worktop so it’s easy to clean and stays looking so fresh.
I am thoroughly enjoying this series! Great job on the build so far. I'm excited for the next episode because I need some inspiration for bike storage.
Awesome series! So good. Well done blake!!
I am so glad I watched that to the end. Maaaaaaaaaaaaan, I'm almost crying here.
Blake those LED lights came out so sick man! Can’t wait see what you do next
Blake you should put an edge strip on the edge of your worktop to stops bolts falling on the floor. Also put it 10mm above the worktop.
LOve this!! Your enthusiasm is always contagious!!! Riding, building, etc!
Last week's comment, use the router to smooth of work top...today's episode you've done me proud 👌😉 can never have too many LEDs 🤩
BLAKE: Sands the worktop
MY MIND: AH, JUST SAND IT!!
all this energy. love you Blake. you are my favorite. greetings from Greece
So much energy in one person! Great job!
Great work Blake. You are not only a insane slopestyler, u are also a good carpenter. TOP.
This has been so great, I'm loving this series and Blake, you have to be so proud of what you've acheived here bro
Love your enthusiasm!! Great work and can’t wait for episode 5!
Looking great! Only think ya might do though is either paint or stain/seal the wood. Help it last longer. In my experience if you leave it raw it’s going to soak up any type of solvent or grease you spill on it and it’ll look dingy in a short time. That may already be in the works. Great series though!!
Great job there!!! Keep on building stuff!!! Blake builds are great!
Loving the LED lights, how about putting in a USB charging station and a nice ‘park too service department sign’. You’ve certainly entertained me and my boys during lockdown thank you
Blake I suggest adding to the floor you can get foam like floor pecies which are cheap and would just make the cave look extra sick
Never seen someone so excited in their garage before! Mind you it does look awesome. For under the shelves you could get a thin sheet of opaque perspex to diffuse the leds.
Danish oil on the wooden worktop will protect it and make the grain pop! Awesome effort, top build!! 🤙🤘🤘
That is amazing Blake! You’ve worked so hard and it shows!! Loved following you on the journey, please let me know when you decide to move house as I want this bike cave!! 🤟🤙
I think you should definitely use pegboard to hang those tools up. Also a hand washing place/station might be a good idea since bike maintenance gets greasy fast.
Everyone loves Blake!
Great series, love the enthusiasm Blake.
Coaches comment-
1. Grab a shop vac and hook it up to your sander! Way less mess
2. Find a mate with a jointer and a planer next time and run your countertop boards through. Then you’ll have nice flush, tight and smooth joints. Way less sanding too
3. Old bike parts can make some pretty sweet cabinet knobs too!
Blake, it looks great! How about some peg board to back the work bench so you can hang some tools for easy access.
You can be so proud of yourself! Love watching and can't wait for the next episode of the Bitchen!
Awesome Blake! Can't wait to build my own bike-kitchen! Thanks for the inspiration 👌🏼
The lights is pretty sick 👍👍👍 looking forward for next episode😊😊
Hahaha the ending tho 😂
So much fun watching your blake builds videos
Blake is a complete maniac who can get exited about everything. What's not to love about that guy?
An amazing job Blake ! Love your build series the led's look great 👍👌🤘
