  • Florida was once considered the ultimate swing state in US presidential elections, with results at times almost impossibly close. In recent years, however, this once purple state has turned a deep shade of red. In this report, France 24’s Genie Godula takes a look at how with Donald Trump turned Florida into a Republican stronghold, and if the Democrats can hope to win it back.

    I'm not sure low cost of living still applies to Florida nowadays. At the least, I didn't get that impression when I was there.

      Absolutely there is no low cost of living in Florida these days.

      It isn't low cost anymore. It's basic supply and demand.
      So many people want to live here and there aren't enough houses.

    9:05 It should be noted that Obama did NOT put his name on his signature piece of legislation. The official name is "The Affordable Care Act." Republicans nicknamed it Obamacare as a slur against it, and for the first few years, it worked. But now the ACA is popular, and the name Obamacare is still what people know it as.

      I'm sorry, where do you get the idea that healthcare in the U.S. is popular? It's a total disaster. At the very least, both Trump and RFK Jr.'s supporters hate the state of healthcare in the U.S., and that essentially makes it 45-55 against it.
      Of course, I don't know how many people there still are that think the healthcare abomination has nothing to do with the "Affordable Care Act", probably the same as the number of people who think that acts of Congress are named after what they're for, instead of what the Congress cockroaches and their corporate bedfellows want us to believe they're for.
      But at minimum, I think neither RFK Jr. nor Trump's supporters support the ACA. Or, indeed, any of the corrupt measures Congress has passed for the pharmaceutical and medical industries.

      They should officially change it to “Obama Care” to show appreciation maybe at the 50 million covered mark

    Everyone, including Hispanics should be outraged at illegal immigration. It is out of control here in FL. Every state is a border state.

    5:31 a perfect example of the effect of disinformation as spewed by the man-child and his acolytes. she's been baptised whole body and mind into the cult...welcome to the heavenly bliss of ignorance. from there she confidently blames the government for her business's lack of success. talk about snowflakes. --FL man

      You are aware that high inflation and interests rates can be devastating to small business right? So she is quite right to be critical of the current state of the US economy. I'm failing to see the cult like behaviour.

    Obamacare is not an option, if your employer doesn't offer you insurance, it's mandatory.
    It's expensive, the coverage is terrible, it needs massive reform.

    • @vincenz5
      @vincenz5 Před 2 měsíci +1

      It is not actually mandatory. Coverage is terrible but better than what it would have been without the additional regulations.
