I love chatting to Paul!! Whether it’s on camera or not it’s always an unpredictable ride. You should have heard what we talked about at dinner 😂😂. I wish the industry had more people like him - passionate, out spoken, a bit mad, but definitely not boring or corporate. And by the way - all those “You’ve won something!” replies that are being posted in this comments section are a SCAM!! Just report/delete them please.
Awesome upload! I loved it. I work with a bunch of guys, we’re constantly (figuratively) kicking each other in the balls, joking back and forth, that’s a good thing to have in life, rather than be all serious
@@SomeKindOfMadman That's the British Army for ya!
So, tell us about the prototype guitar then Captain?! Go on, we won’t tell Paul you said anything.
What does Paul think of/say about Chapman Guitars?
He reminds me of Neil degrass Tyson.🤣🤣
Paul is such a rollercoaster of a human but my McCarty changed my life and I can't help but love him to death
Hahah I love this. Paul is Paul. Lee’s just trying to ride the tornado!
LOL I've only watched about 10 mins so far, but that is definitely how it feels haha
wonder whats in the cup, must be whiskey or vodka or some other magic drink.
@@toledo2983 Hahah he’s always like that. I think it’s the coffee LOL
@@MarkJohnsonJams i never played one of this guitars (i hate birds), but now i am tempted to try one, as he is such a nice exotic person.
@@toledo2983 They’re amazing guitars. I’ve owned many. I’ve met Paul once too and he was super nice. Good guy. Amazing guitars.
One thing I love about Paul is that he doesn't care about mentioning other guitar brands.
I think that's cause he doesn't hide the fact that other brands inspired him namely his biggest competitors such as gibson and fender
@@richardshank9583 As they do most brands, they just don't say it for some reason. Do Fender and Gibson get mad if a company doesn't say single cut or T-style?
@@Scott__C yes they do, all the time lol
He believes in his product. If he mentions fender and someone goes play a fender and a prs, he trusts that his guitar will win. Whether you disagree or not doesnt matter, but he truly believes his product is the best. I mean, otherwise he wouldnt put his name on it. And I gotta say, I personally agree.
@@Kris_Toffer Yeah, my only thing is I wish they made a regular model with like a 14" radius. Paul is steadfast about specs until a celeb wants something different.
Paul is so ridiculously knowledgeable about everything in the music industry, awesome to see him on Andertons TV again.
Paul is a character. This was great.
An interview with Paul always leaves me with a smile, thanks...
As impossible as it is to listen to PRS interviews, all guitar players owe him a debt of gratitude for forcing higher degrees of quality control /assurance into the process.
Most underrated comment ever
I love them. They’re fun to listen to but I would for sure lose my mind if I had to talk to him.
The man is a genius. But you need to have hair on your teeth to interview him.
PRS USA is nice but Indonesia, is hit or miss. The HDRX 20 was a hit....the SE I bought last year was a miss! horrible fretting out all over the place.
The guitars are nice to look at, sure. The man is one of the most insufferable persons I ever seen.
He is right about your viewership crossing oceans. I'm a regular viewing from the USA.
Me too😊👍🏿
Paul is such a character. You see why PRS stuff is so good. It's his passion combined with his typical sense of humour.
Paul Reed Smith at Andertons it always a must watch
This was again a wonderful time with Paul and you!
"If every guitar maker would be so passionate about his guitars like Paul, we would have more nice guitars, playing great out of the box in every price range"
I keep saying that Gibson needs to hire him to consult on how build guitars consistently.
Within the first few minutes, I could tell that this was going to be one of the best interviews of Paul. You really bring out his passion and get him to open up.
Looking forward to those 15 years Paul! We love you and know things would change without you. Long live PRS guitars!
I've watched countless videos each of Paul and Lee, and these two together are a CZcams match made in heaven.
People say a lot about him and I kind of get why. But I've never seen anyone disagree on his enthusiasm. What a legendary achievement and I will forever cherish my lovely PRSs and be reminded of the very man behind the legacy, Kudos to Paul.
Fun interview as usual! Thank you! 😇
Everytime I see an interview with Paul I both like him more, respect the hell out of him, and want to buy a PRS.
Paul Reed Smith is pretty much the reason I became an absolute guitar nerd when I was about 15.
Man, what a great interview. So much passion and fun.
Great interview, as always with the mighty PRS!
always a pleasure to hear Paul speak. he's so direct yet passionate about what he makes
is that a smoke screen for not putting out a legendary product. That flanger pedal was not made with tender loving care. When i hear old pedals my ear hears it. Expect more from your era fella or he will keep selling whatever . Trust me new gear is not amazing
Always a great video when PRS pays a visit!🎸
Amazing I love Paul's passion for what he and his company does
Love the passion of both these guys.
I had never seen an interview with Paul until one of your older NAMM videos. The guy is so interesting and so inspiring. Lee and Paul together is always good stuff. I honestly want to buy a PRS guitar just to support this guy that so fascinates me.
Paul is a constant inspiration , thanks for another great vid
Thank you very much for this conversation with Paul. It was really interesting to hear both of you!
Awesome. Always enjoy watching and listening to Paul. Such passion. PRS guitars for me are just the best.
Awesome video as usual, what a great bloke and the relationship really came across.
A Paul and Lee interview always makes me smile. Thanks. Led Zep IV isnt coming out of my daw but I cant wait to get my hands on the tobacco SE standard 24 08 and try.
I could watch these two jam for hours
Awesome watching Lee try to keep the interview on track every time they are together.
really fun warming up session
Loved the the video Paul is carrying the work that les Paul and Leo fender started. Awesome.
Paul is real fun, awesome interview.
Yes & hey from across the pond!
Paul is a true Renaissance man that few realize the depth of his creativity. Check out what he is doing in the medical field and prepare to be knocked over. Proud to own some of his work and they are INCREDIBLE ! Thanks Paul.
my budding interest in prs guitars is fast becoming an obsession :) What a character.
One of the best interviews/interactions I’ve ever seen. Two buddies having a good old time.
I've got 2 PRS guitars and I love them. When I can scrape the money together I'll get the 50 Watt amp. Big love to Paul.
if you gonna play indoor i wouldnt recomended ,i tried it was way too loud and no master volume and couldnt even turn it on bass and treble volume on , im gonna try the 20watt next week ,
Hilarious banter! Great sounds from the new amps, peddles, guitar.
These meetings with Paul are always so entertaining. I love the Robin Ford guitar (WANT) and also totally dig that Paul knows all of the details about each Pedal. How many people in his position know the details and how to use even their smallest, or least expensive products.
such a cool guy I love him and the banter with everyone feel like I've gotta buy one now so videos worked lol
What a great talking with one of the greatest and more inovating guitar and guitar amps producer of these days !
Since we only rehears with in ears, it's always really amazing when the monitors and the pa at a show are turned up lol
I hope i can afford a PRS core someday! They are gorgeous!
Absolutely *fantastic!* Thank you so much for making this video and putting it out there! I've been a *total* Fender girl for YEARS! But now...as I'm about to buy a *nice* one...I think I'll take a look at PRS before I buy!!!
This is just guitar geek Gold! I thoroughly enjoyed this hour of honest mayhem. And thank goodness for the SE range so we can all own and play one of these beautiful guitars.
less than two seconds before Paul goes off topic. I'm so excited to watch this!
Mr. PRS is so convincing with his passion and a bit of geekiness that I want a PRS now.
me too! amp and guitar!!
Its always a great video when Paul lands in Andertons!
Awsome interview and love the pedal offer
Great video guys!!
Paul's personality is at least half the reason I got myself a PRS...
Always a joy .....never a chore.
Real CZcams Magic . . . Paul & Lee should do this more often . . Paul is a true Guitar Legend . . .
Great stuff! Love Paul and the Captain! Paul is notoriously hard to interview! No shade all love ❤️
This interview is brilliant, and Paul is hillarious 😄
I really love Paul, he's a real down to earth guy. I got the Zach Meyers Model S.E. and it's a great guitar, and the Mark tremonti MT-15 amp and cab. For 15 watts it loud. As Paul would say it will take your head off! 😁
I really enjoyed that. And I love my PRS SE!
Like to see Paul Reed Smith do a voice box if possible .
This man is a legend
The man is fascinating. Love that Robben Ford model. Well done Captain. Great interview. 👍🏻
Hi mr. Paul 🥰. .thanks andertons i smile when i saw mr. PRS. This is the first time 😊
Paul Reed Smith is the most fascinating entity in the guitar industry, whether you like him or not its impossible not to listen to him. Protect Paul Reed Smith at all costs!
I have seen Paul slated in guitar forums, I have 2 at the moment, both SE's but owned a custom from the first year of production, but at least 5 guitars, and every 1 is flawlessly built , set up amazing and plays flawlessly, but where he is shining now is the sonic side of things! the pickups, amps, pedals! watching him adjust those knows, play a note, tweaking, working with his ear! FABULOUS!
I own 2 SE' s The Zach Meyer is fantastic...the King Crimson SE is shyte ...clear coat on the neck cracked and fell off, the pick ups are not very good at all, so I have mixed feelings about the brand .
I bought my 1st PRS last week (s2 standard). It was the 1st PRS I'd even tried. Plays beautifully.
it sounds like a freaking recto at times. so cool!
Very entertaining! Great stuff
I love him, there's no corporate bs with Paul. Just a love of music and the instrument, and ofc very funny.
Paul is certainly a true character. I wish him continued success.
one of the best things ive ever watched
Thank you Captain Lee, what a treat with your having Paul Reed Smith as your guest. I thoroughly enjoy your videos and I watch them religiously. I could not agree with Paul more!! I just hit 69 and I'm still working full time and I like the money! I drive a city bus and I get friends and even customers asking me when I'm going to retire and frankly it does bug you, like Paul said, they're really asking when am I going to die 🤣🤣 so it is a soft spot for us getting up there in age. If I was Paul and that guy in Germany kept hitting me up on retirement and age questions I would have just gotten up and left. Paul is quite the joker!! 🤣🤣This was a lot of fun to watch! Take care. 😊😊
And that was because of danish pete. It’s a great pedal cheers great interview thanks
Wow Paul is so right about his fantastic guitars the sound is different and spot on even with out the Amp.
Before Paul went to UK he was in The Netherlands. I was there in the PRS clinic. Man he is hilarious. What a Legend.
Absolutely loving this just 10 minutes in 🤣
The amazing thing about Paul Reed Smith is that you can tell that there are hours upon hours of research and observation in his explanations. He really knows his stuff.
PRS is my new favourite celebrity... I'm hunting down all the videos with him in them now!
All those wonderful guitars but, the two magic words that me Lee's eyes light up was when Paul said, "I'm paying"! Cheers! 😍
Great upload. Finally, Paul came to Anderton’s, I also thought he skipped out on the best channel on CZcams. Though as he said, save the best for last.
this is so chaotic in the best way possible!
What brilliant video I love watching Paul talk about guitars his passion is infectious. I’m one of those who bought a guitar during Covid and I must say it’s my happy place. I’m looking to buy my 1st looper an 3rd guitar already only 18months into playing
Using a looper is extremely addictive. Enjoy!
Be careful buying gear it's addictive 😜
@@richbriggs6053 think the Mrs would have something to say if I kept buying gear 😂
@@chrisanderson9331 My friend, lying to your wife will get easier in time when it comes to the gear you buy. My guitars were all ‘bargains’… And that’s the story I stick by to this day 😅
We started about the same time 😃. Next (black) Friday i will buy a silver sky SE that will be my fourth PRS, third electric PRS. I guess i am a fun
Thanks for what you guys do. This is my favorite TV show. Mostly because you have fun and you love what you do. I've always been a music guy. Kind of like the old days. I didn't watch TV for most of my childhood and im good with that. This this is a realistic, fun, creative, and educational form of MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT that's worth watching to me. On that note...
PRS sound is original and the higher end guitars clarity, I would say, are second to none. Too bad I don't play clean tones very much. I like my growly, angry SE custom Quilted charcoal.
One word...... Amazing!!!!.......
What started out as a disaster of a conversation blossomed into a fantastically interesting video! I love that you guys don't edit the videos to death and it gives them so much character! I have loved PRS guitars since the first time I played one some 20 years ago, I just wish I could afford the Custom 24 10 Top I have always wanted! Lol! Paul's passion and true "child's like" joy for his craft is simply inspiring to me!
All his interviews start like that lol
OMG, I had to do a second look at first....I was sure I was watching Johnathon and Baxter from Casino Guitars. Thank you Paul and the lads at Andertons for a very entertaining interview and vlog.
paul will forever be paul. cheers boys ❤
I*m not in the market for a new amp, let alone experimenting with a new premium model. But I so much enjoy geeking out Paul, especially with someone open like the captain.
I still have my rare 2011 PURPLE PRS Torero. It's #3 Torero ever made. It STILL plays wonderfully.
Jeez! Paul is a fighter. No wonder he has succeeded!
What ever you think of Paul, you can’t deny his interviews are always entertaining
Really nice interview and chat Paul is a good guy ! In reference to where the Marshall JTM45 came from it was a direct descendant of a Fender. The JTM45 was, undeniably, heavily based on Leo Fender's 5F6-A Bassman it's history with the exception of substituting EL34s in place of American 6L6s and of course a different power transformer for UK 🇬🇧 power.
As far a clean the Fender has a bigger bottom end because of its 6L6 power tubes and a different tube capacitance and frequency response. The EL34 has more of a mid hump nasal sound with a smaller bottom .
I have a PRS story from 1972 before he was PRS. He was in college at St Marys in southern MD as a freshman and heard us play in the student union basement with our 100 watt Marshall Plexiglas with 8x12 I was playing an all original 55 Strat with an echoplex and a Univox super fuzz set on a slight boost. My Marshall had the jumper to get bottom from the 2nd channel. I only had my bottom cab plugged in and facing the painted cinderblock wall. We had a short conversation on the break where I got an ultimate tone complement from him. I was 17 and he was either 17 or 18. Our next gig was in Ocean City MD. We opened for Liz Meyer with Danny Gatton who approached me and announced that his Tele thru a 4x10 tweed batsman was going to be louder than my 100 watt stack. Danny already had a reputation so I didn't argue. 50 years ago and I can't make this stuff up. I also have a Roy Buchanan story from Pittsburgh 1975-6
The 20 watt HRDX kicks ass!
If I hit the lottery one of my first purchases would be the PRS Granger bass. Beautiful instrument. Seeing this interview I will buy that bass if it is the only bass I ever buy again
Don’t even have to think about it, Paul at Andersons are my favorite videos on CZcams
This bromance is one for the ages.
Great interview! I wish he dropped some info on the MT-100
