Having a few go-to inbound plays in your teams playbook can greatly increase your chances of scoring and winning. This video will teach you 5 baseline inbound plays that you can run against a person-to-person, match-up defense.
Baseline inbound plays can be fun to learn and execute. They teach every player on your team that that they have a responsibility in making the play work, and that no one player or position is any more or less important than another.
Plus, it's fun to execute a play to perfect and watch as your opponent is left scratching their head and asking themselves, "How did they get so wide open?!"
Specific plays only work against a particular defensive strategy. These okay won't work against a 2-3, a 3-2, or a 1-3-1 zone defense. If you’re looking for inbound plays against a zone defense, please check out my videos #4, #8, #13, #14, and #15.
I hope you find these plays easy to learn, teach, and put into real game situations. Please leave me a comment and subscribe!
These inbound plays to run against a match up defense is great for teaching youth, club teams, junior high, high school, and recreational teams.
If you have recorded video of your team executing this play or any of the plays you've learned from my channel and would like for me to do a CZcams video review of your team executing the play, please email me at:

I’m a soccer coach (football) and I’ve used this video to implement throw in techniques. Great content
Love these plays! Thanks for this! Looking forward to showing my JV players!
Awesome!
Great stuff coach. I started running all my inbounds from the same box formation. Like you said, it makes it much harder for the defense to prepare.
Thanks coach! I’ve always felt both my players and fans/parents enjoyed these inbounds plays because of how simple it looks when we get some open baskets.
Great job coach! Will each inbounds play work for zone defenses?
Great effective Inbound Plays,I Appreciate you for this video,BLESS

You’re welcome! Thanks for the comment.
Great stuff Coach!!! I love these sets. It was funny when teaching middle school girls this. We are running a zone and doing an inbound box set. So when we ran it , the defense stayed lol and like u said it won't work on a zone. So I had to tell them to follow the player 😂 I plan on running man at some point but as u know that could be tricky with the inexperienced. They run into each other alot 😫😂
Thanks for the positive feedback and for checking out my content. I really appreciate it.

What would you suggest calling these different inbound sets from a box position? So they know which one they are running and it is clear? "Box 1-2-3-etc?"
Hey coach, sorry for the late reply. Yeah, we just use 1, 2, 3 etc. We normally don't call it out so our opponents don't catch on. If it's a younger team I may discretely point with my fingers from the bench and teach the inbounder to look to me. For older teams, I teach them to call the plays on the court, so whoever is inbounding the play would inform their team either verbally or with their hand gestures. I hope that helps coach.
Seems like sound strategy compared to some other inbound plays I've seen
I loved to run them as a player and a coach! Lots of fun and success with them.

And thanks for the scripture reminder! John 14:1 where Jesus said "Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me."
Not many catch and fewer comment on that aspect of my videos. God bless.
