    I'm having a similar problem. I took the plug and coil out and disconnected the injector. I started the engine and I was able to see the spark malfunction intermittently. I tried switching the coil and plug but the problem stayed at the same cylinder. Visually inspecting the spark plug as it's running was extremely valuable in my diagnostic process.

    there's a lot going on when we make these videos, Jeremy...the technical diag, the scan tool, the scope and the camera...it's not like we have a production team behind us and it's so easy to have something fall through the cracks
    anyone that does this would understand your frustration here:)

    Although dropped footage is irritating. You get paid to fix peoples vehicles...You did that efficiently. Good find. CZcams will get over it. Cheers Jeremy 👍

    I know you're frustrated at not having recorded the waveform but honestly it didn't really hurt the video. I've seen enough waveforms to have an idea of what you were looking at and it doesn't take away from your approach.

    So all that work, all those computers, all that time spent reading unneeded info, just to find out it was a freaking spark plug?

      No. All that to be 100% confident that when I took the spark plug out that it was the defective part.

      @@JLsAutoSolution I have ran injector cleaner, 2 new tanks of gas (first thought was bad gas), then I cleaned the mass airflow sensor, still doing it. It only does it around 35-40 MPH. When it’s just sitting, and running, no issues. It only happens around 35-40 and goes away after I get up to higher speeds. My Ford dealership will charge me 150$ just to diagnose it.

    I’m having a problem on mine I have the 3.7 v6 2012 and if I floor it the engine light comes on and says cylinder 6 misfire butt it really doesn’t seem like it’s misfiring it does have the original plugs on it and a little over 210,000k I don’t know if it’s actually misfiring though what could be the problem?

    it not easy making video ,that why i do not......any way we can not do that at work ...but your very good at it..... i did a misfire this week on e450 code p0304 and p0316 only misfire on first 10 sec in the first start up of the day... them go away and not do it anymore during the day and the long term trim -12 on b1 and b2,....i was sure it was a head gasket for the cause...... but it was intermitant and coolant level ok..... so i did presure coolant test on the engin hot and no coolant in the cyl 4 i was very disappointed .....so let rest all night and check it again in morning with no presure in the coolant and voila there was coolant in the cyl 4 after all .i blow out with air in cyl 4 to take out the coolant and the long term trim were back to 0 on b1 and b2 ....that was strange on two bank .....mabee cat sensor has a say to it

    My spark plug and coil are new but 3 still misfires. Is it most likely fuel and do we fix it by replace Fuel Injectors?

    • @JLsAutoSolution
      @JLsAutoSolution  Před rokem +2

      could be fuel and could be mechanical, Do a proper diagnosis before changing parts, so far you are out the price of a coil and spark plug plus the time to replace it and the issue is still there. Next you want to change an injector but without any real proof that it is an injector, so if it works, great but if it doesn't you will be out a coil and spark plug and a injector plus all the time needed to replace them..

    Long shot, just picked up an F150 with a the 3.7. Only misfires if I put the pedal near the floor at high RPM. Can a worn spark plug cause that? It's got 154k, so I know it needs an oil change soon, and I don't know if plugs or transmission fluid were ever replaced.

    • @JLsAutoSolution
      @JLsAutoSolution  Před rokem +1

      Yes it can, it might work under low loads without any issue but under higher loads and turbulence in the cylinder it might not be able to jump the gap.
      Diagnose it first, don't just replace a part😊

      bring to a better shop, there should never be the words(could or maybe coming from the technician) if the testing is sound the parts must repair the vehicle.
      fuel/air/spark/timing/compression must be checked.

    Its ignition coil 3 that says has a fault. Tested with my scanner tool. Still misfires. Next i can replace the fuel inejector next to the misfiring cylinder.
