I didn't need any more feels after the titans... but holy crap this hits in a way I never thought possible.
Ayo AJP ima need you to put a word in so we can get this added in the game bigdog
And they said Status Moves never hit for Super Effective ;_;
I hope Gen 10 has voice acting
It make the sense where the dog see PokeBall and realized he in hit fransice pokemon and walk more heart warming
@@TheShadow1347 nah, at this rate gen 10 will have 2D sprites again.
Considering how there’s several moments in this game filled with emotion, this game would have benefited so much from voice acting. Would have made those already emotional moments hit even harder
Not necessarily. The recent Tactics Ogre remake ruined emotional moments with it's English voice acting.
@@zhengyinglino JP option?
@@lolcat There's a JP option, which sounds much better. Still prefer no voice acting, however.
Japanese voice acting is the only voice acting any media will benefit from.
I just don’t think it’s fair or sensible to have to play this game in near silence just because some people would be picky about voice acting.
Like I don’t care for the shrill music in this game, and lowered it in the options, but I don’t think an entire fan base should be denied bgm just cause I didn’t care for it 🤷🏻♀️
The voice acting for Arven's scenes with Mabosstiff are clearly the best, but it's also insane how much more Atticus's character is expressed in his voicing
like v from vendetta
I’m not crying, you’re crying!
@@Supernova4297Hey, I'm not crying!
If we'd gotten voice acting this good I think I may have been able to completely forgive all the bugs glitches and performance issues. Especially with Arven. He's got the most emotional story and is most invested in the last path whereas Penny and Nemona are just along for the ride.
Imagine Voice acting and bug fixes. This game would be so much better!
Giving Penny a filter when she's speaking in her Cassiopeia persona was such a genius move
You just spoiled me, i did think that Cassiopeia was Penny, but i now i know for sure 😆

@@crazydog4626 i got spoiled too but what did you expect when reading comment sections on youtube? 🤣

@@adoniscreed4031 the fact that they bothered to watch it even though they probably didn't finish the game, yeesh
It's kinda ridiculous the highest grossing media franchise of all time can't bother to hire voice actors for their FLAGSHIP PRODUCTS. That sounds like something they could've done since at least gen 6.
THIS!! ^^^
Absolutely! Pokémon has barely evolved philosophically since at most the 2000's I think part of this is because the Nintendo fanbase in general is extremely analy retentive.
honestly I have the feeling that a lot of things would've been done if the team had time.
as far as I know, The Pokemon Company is the one responsible for the games' release schedule, which they've kept in a tight 3-4-year cycle every generation, while constantly expanding the scope of the series.
early on with the GameBoy, up until maybe Sun and Moon on the 3DS, I think that was a doable window for the development given a portable console's limitations, while the Switch was a leap in what it can do, just look at Breath of the Wild and the Xenoblade series for example. 3-4 years to develop a game like Pokemon wouldn't be enough for a quality product, and both Switch generations show that with how bland the world's graphics are, as well as weird framerates and performance issues, which afaik are often fixed after the "meat" of the game is already coded, modeled and animated.
the problem isn't that Nintendo doesn't wanna spend money on voice actors or hire more developers.
the problem is that The Pokemon Company (which iirc isn't even a Nintendo subsidiary) has an iron grip on the IP and demands all its products and media to be released simultaneously (cards, toys, anime, games, etc.), since they know that churning out games will still sell millions. the problem is TPC's focus on quantity over quality.
we've all seen what happened to Breath of the Wild and what's happening to its sequel, as well as Metroid Prime 4, despite that one being developed by a third party (I think?) studio: they've been delayed several times by now from the entire team, executives included, wanting to deliver a quality product despite losing hype, rather than push out a half-baked mess with rushed assets.
if it were fully a Nintendo thing, I doubt they'd keep the constant 3-4 year release cycle with the ever-expanding scope of the Pokemon series.
but hey I'm just some nerd that googles stuff too often, what do I know lmao
TL;DR - The Pokemon Company's fault for rushing the devs, it's not unskilled staff or even Nintendo's fault on this (at least not 100% afaik).
sure but then they'll get people crying that the voice acting is garbage
It's amazing how just a little voice acting here and there in the big moments can make such an impact. The voices felt perfect
Its cringe

I swear every scene with Arven NEEDS voice acting. I teared up when Mabosstiff stood up without any voices so imagine if we had them
just listen to N's Emotional Theme
My first puppy daughter died recently, so this side story hit me like a semi truck even without the voice acting. It actually made me like Arven more because I originally thought he was a jerk. I think voice acting would have had me wailing but I can appreciate it in this video now that it isn't a surprise.
Fr😭 I haven’t cried in years and yet that story line had me struggling lowkey
@@jenlc1536 Same, my first impression of Arven was he's a bit of a jerk and too eager to drag us into the Titans storyline. But after the second Titan fight and he brought out Mabostiff, I wanted to hug him tight and tell him everything would be okay. And that just got more and more intense until the conclusion.
That Arven scene is too good. It doesn't get much better honestly and that dudes voice is spot on what i imagined hed sound like
Sounds like a basic guy with no personality tbh
Couldn't agree more!!
i genuinely cried watching that scene
Exactly!
Also I can't be the only one who reads Atticus's lines as Thor
Arven’s Mabosstiff made me nearly tear up in the base game. This video made me cry a waterfall. Thank you for doing this game the justice it deserves.
Me too.
Same!
God, Arven's scene already made me audibly sob out loud when I first saw it, and hearing it with voice acting felt like a punch to the heart and the throat x2. I cried once again, the voice actor is really good, and I'd honestly love voice acting in a mainline Pokemon game.
im tearing up watching it
We had to put one our good boys to sleep last year and watching that scene without voice acting was already a gut punch, with voice acting Im mostly definitely ugly crying again
Imagine the final scenes with voice acting. Turo/Sada AI pouring their robotical heart out while Arven is devastated. The "Please. Defeat me." line would go so hard too.
He did post a video where the "please. Defeat me" cutscene was voice btw
It feels weird to have such a powerful & emotional story like this (for Pokemon Standards at least) in this day & age & *not* have voice acting

This makes me wanna see the “travel down into area zero” dialogue. The characters and emotions were at peak. Voice acting would push this game from a 7/10 to a 10/10!
Probably a 9/10, because the game needs patches
Yes this this please
YES
@@Kashmnyjr Not anymore after the patch
As much as I'd like to agree, 10/10 would imply that the game is flawless. That is simply not true in the slightest. It runs like garbage, doesn't have proper level scaling, and looks underwhelmed graphically.
That being said, everything else is outstanding, and would be even better with quality voice acting. BUT, it is by no means a 10/10 game.
Okay the person who did Atticus’ voice sounded perfect. Just how I imagined he would sound when talking 👌
And it shows that the Shakespearean dialogue isn’t required to be Brit-sounding. I feel more the less happy as despite said dialogue, I still chose to give him a Spanish accent.
This is incredible. The voice actors not only nailed the voice for each character but the tone that each scene was trying to convey. Great job. We need a voice acting mod for the game.
Hearing Turo's voice being completely human but then towards the end hearing it finally start to give way until its nothing more than a robot until his final moments where he talks to arven would have absolutely wrecked me
yea for real
Oh no I haven’t gotten there yet
I would love for someone to mod these into the actual game - they're awesome!
It's Nintendo
They'll send a cease and desist just for considering that
I was just thinking that! Modding it into existence would be one of the greatest things this fandom could do for this game!
@@kikouma1098 they are terrible
Gosh, Arven speaking sent me into tears, that voice acting is so well done. That scene is already so emotional, but having the voice makes it top tier. Also, Nemona's voice is perfectly enthusiastic without being overbearing - just like the character! And Penny sounds wise and sad without sounding old, like she's really just a kid who bit off more than she could chew, you can feel it. Everyone did great, and Nintendo is missing out on not hiring you guys for official voice acting. Hopefully videos like these give them the cue they need to have stuff like this in future games!
Holy crap! Voice acting hits really hard with those cutscenes!
And for the love of Arceus somebody give Arven a hug!
Would have certainly added more emotion to those Arven scenes and done Nemona's electric personality justice. You all killed it though! I stand with this, Pokemon NEEDS voice acting.

Everyone did such a great job and need to be hired by Pokemon for voice acting for future games.
Whats insane to me is that several trailers and promotional content had voices for many of the characters with fairly long dialogues, like iono, Jaq, and the director. Not adding the same voices into the game was just a weird choice overall.
Wait there were?
Can you tell me one of the trailers that had VA in it?
@@Tyreker There's one in particular where there was a Gimmeghoul event in Pokemon GO.
The trailer had Professor Jacq talking to someone about Gimmeghoul and the lines were voiced.
@@Tyreker there was the gimmieghoul one, there was one or two about iono that was released in Japanese that had voice acting, and some of the promotional trailers had a voice for clavell if I remember correctly. I want to say one of them had a nemona voice but I'm unsure
To me it seems like Gamefreak rushed production of the games due to the holiday season coming up. If they had just waited like a couple more months to polish and refine the game, it would probably be one of the best games made. But alas money grubby companies trump fans wishes I guess
@@Artezzaa_ It isn't about the holidays, but rather the anime had already wrapped up the previous adventure. They should have hired more than the like, 50 people working knowing there was such a time crunch on such a huge game, but the current president refuses to earn how management works and thinks too many people will make communication too difficult to, you know, do his JOB ...
It's all complete garbage, but ... that's big business for you. As long as we'll give them money anyway, they have no incentive to change.
Wow, the voice acting is actually really good. I'll admit they killed it with these scenes!
The Arven and Mabosstiff scene hits even harder with voice acting, amazing work portraying the feelings
I love how you hear genuine worry in Team Star’s voices when Cassiopeia goes offline. All these voices were amazing, and a filter on Cassiopeia’s to disguise it was GENIUS!
God the amount of impact that was given to Arven's scene.. It honestly makes me cry everytime I rewatch it

The nemona and arven final scene was the best part so to hear the great voice acting over it was amazing
OK. Now that I heard him, I can get Atticus's voice sounding so very close to Yusuke from P5. Damn, that's scary good acting.
The push for voice acting in mainline Pokémon games is stronger than before, but I've always wanted to see people show how effective it is. This showcase does a great job strengthening story moments and character personalities, especially because the voices fit! Makes me want to see more videos like this one! I'd like to compliment the all the voice actors (including you) for putting in the effort, and I'm hoping the voice-overs leave a positive impact.
As someone who has played Pokemon for nearly 25 years this literally brought a tear to my eye. Despite its bugs this game is everything I could have imagined and more as a young kid starting out from Pallet Town with his Charmander. Voice acting would have made it so much better, especially in some of the more emotional scenes. Thank you for doing this, and I hope Game Freak takes notice.
I have stated on a deviantart post that it would be cool to hear the characters including your player character talk to each other and their Pokemon in a main game of the franchise. Your attempt at this has proven it can be done. Splendid job.
0:43 this scene hit a really soft spot in the actual game, but with voice acting i actually began breaking down in tears. Really well done!!
The voice acting really fits! Especially with Cassiopeia! I heard from Ohmori the reason why Pokemon doesn’t have VA is due to it needing to be in multiple languages and that they’d like players to use their own interpretation of the character voices. But with scenes like Piers, Nemona battling you and Arven, it feels very awkward. The voices add more to the emotional impact.
It’s understandable for games to not have VA in scenes from 20 years ago (like Final Fantasy VII-IX until X did it) but it’s not like that in modern times now.
Games like Elden Ring have only one language on VA, for thats ok because they all have the game 100% translated
I find this to be a dumb argument because most jrpgs only ever have Japanese and English voice acting, with text being translated into multiple languages. Having these long grand cutscenes with characters moving their mouths is really jarring without voice acting and makes it seem so lifeless.
"due to it needing to be in multiple languages"
.....the what now??? Dude, every game with VA that's been released for the past 25-30 years has always had English and Japanese voice acting and no one made a fuss about it, and you have some franchises that go the extra mile and do Spanish, German and French and even Latin Spanish. And all the latter examples that come to mind like Metal Gear, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Assassin's Creed, both Batman Arkham games, Marvel's Avengers are from mid to succesful franchises.
We are talking about THE Pokemon company, the most profitable company in the world.
lmao this is a very cheap and disingenous excuse they gave, almost on the level of dexit for more fluid animations.
He could've just said it's cheaper to not hire voice talent but most people would be fine with a jp/en dual audio with subs
Pokemon is quite literally the only RPG series I can think of that still doesn't have VAs
@@lezard2102 nah it makes sense, unlike a lot of other games all Pokémon have localized names including in languages such as Spanish or German. Your mindset is a very ignorant mindset that only English speakers would have. They should only do it if they are able to do it in most of the language the game gets translated to. It would feel jarring otherwise to hear entirely different names for the Pokémon compared to what the text says, even with subtitles. In other games names generally stay the same across languages or only change when the language use different characters.
Don't mind me, just gonna casually bookmark all these voice actors for future reference. I hope some day people can make something like this into a mod
You guys are all such perfect voices for these guys! Would love to see more scenes done! Arven's voice made me tear up again ;_;
Imagine the Turo and Arven scene at the end VA'd, omg I would be sobbing like crazy.
Why the heck is this not in the game!? It's beautiful with voice acting, like the characters come alive!
This made the story 1000x times more emotional
I loved this! I think that the voice acting puts more emotion into the characters (Example: The scene with Arven and Mabostiff). Good job whoever voice acted the characters!
I finally progressed the game enough to reach these cutscenes and playing each scene in this video in sync with my game really enhanced the experience. And made me wish, not for the first time, that they would just put voice acting in these games. Amazing work by you and your team. Thank you
This is actually awesome! The voice acting was just perfect from everyone involved! it's amazing how much more life voice acting can add to these wonderful characters
Wow! what a difference it makes! These cutscenes have way more impact with the voice acting and music.
Wow! You nailed the voices! They sound EXACTLY as they should!
I can't believe they made a rapper gym leader this gen after the Piers reception. This was fantastic, would love to see you guys dub all the major cutscenes!
Wait, what was the thing about Piers?
The one that really made me notice the lack of it was the scenes at the end with at the Time Machine (trying to avoid spoilers). It’s clearly meant to be so emotional, but there’s no delivery because there isn’t any sound.
Pokemon, we all know you have the money for voice actors, just get some
And great job with these cutscenes! Really brought them to life!
Oh my gosh the scenes hit so much harder with voice acting, I would have ended up crying even more than I did originally playing through it. The lack of voice acting was fine in the 2d era but as the 3d gets better and better the lack of even basic voice acting really shows especially when they go through the trouble of animating the mouth movements
All of the voices here match how I'd imagine the characters so well, even down to the modified Cassiopeia voice. That voice kinda reminded me of L's modified voice in the early episodes of Death Note, very well done. This sounds more like anime voice acting than the typical quality you get in a game. This is good shit, 10/10, I'm impressed.
The voice acting suits the characters so well!! Kudos to all the VA's in this video.
When I beat the game, the Team Star scenes I felt originally like yeah that sucks and all then moved on with it but seeing the scene again with voice acting completely changed how I felt about the scene and characters. Voice acting for this game makes a huge different. It's probably the first game since Pokemon Colosseum that I might consider being my favorite all time pokemon game with all the changes and improvements and the cast was amazing. Even though it followed a lot of the typical pokemon tropes it did a lot of differences too. Great job on the voices and hopefully someone at game freak will see this for future pokemon games. I found it strange too it said voice acting in the credits of the game but there was nothing in the entire game lol.
It was probably of the pokemon voice actors 🤔
With the added voice acting to the Mabosstiff scene, my heart warmed up so fast and bright
The voice acting is so incredible, I never felt so emotional by the Arven Voice Acing in the Mabosstiff Cutscene😭
Holy Moly! You guys should really be paid for voice acting!! That "Bud!" from Arven's scene with Mabostiff is just.....perfection T_T
Oh my god this is so so cool! Ugh if the whole game could have been voice acted, it would be incredible. Especially the Area Zero section. I already got chills at the last research center, if it was voiced, it’d be even better.
Man, I can't believe how much a simple thing like voice acting could enhance these cut scenes so much. Each one is so much more impactful and meaningful with it. Arven's scene with Mabostiff finally recovering really cut deep. Each one of these actors did a brilliant job, but I only have one slight critique. I feel as though Penny's speaking lines should have been done with a British accent. I feel as though it fits her character more, and also the fact that she is originally from the Galar region would mean that she'd naturally sound that way. But other than that, brilliant work.
omg this is soooo good. I already felt like the previous game needed voice acting since it was very cinematic. this is amazing.
I teared a little with the Arven scene, it was already a sad moment but this, it hit even harder. Everyone did it great, i personally love Eri voice.
If you take suggestions, the final scene with Turo/Sada in area zero would be so good. That moment needed a voice acting.
Please do all the scenes omfg this shit hits so different with voiced dialog
They gonna need to set up a patreon or something this is quality voice work by everyone no exaggeration
I wanna hug both Arven and Penny so bad, plus Nemona of course
You give me an emotional story of a kid just trying to save his pet and that will always hit me in a soft spot. How I wish there were some miracle herbs at times when I lost my pets…
This sounds absolutely amazing. Pokemon NEEDS in game voice acting, they really teased us with that iono trailer.
Appreciate the credit!!
Man why does everyone get my hopes up with such a good display of voice acting
Saw quite a few of these over the past days and these are all grear
I need more of this. This is why Pokémon needs voice acting, cause scenes built up with emotion like this, get even more emotional when you add the voice acting. I loved every second of this.
Man the scene with Arven and mabostiff was already emotional as is but voice acting made it that much better i almost teared up
*Chef's kiss* This is so incredibly well done in voice acting and voice directing. I been watching the game vicariously through friends, but nothing about the game got my attention until I heard this. Loved your scene with Arven! Made me misty eyed lol. Pokemon deserves so much more.

When nemona and the player goes around in circles is the coolest little thing ever or one of the pre battle interactions in Pokemon
Solid voice work. I could see this being the official EN voicetrack. Works great as a proof of concept, too.
Would love for all the prerendered cutscenes to have Voice acting by this team. It's very high quality! Well done!
I love how Cassiopia used a simalar voice filter to L in Deathnote 😂
Also, these scenes hit so damn hard.
SV had great storylines.
The voice acting in Arven's part actually made me cry, the emotion in his voice fit perfect with the scene, making it that much more emotional and heartwarming!
I hope mainline Pokemon does voice acting someday, at least for their cutscenes. SV's final ending scene would make me bawl like a baby if it had voice acting
Other than Nemona's voice feeling a little flat, I could've easily seen these voices work for the characters. ESPECIALLY for DJ Rhyme, Iono, and Larry
Don’t know about Ryme, but PAM Obake has done an Iono voice interpretation and I know of a guy who has done a tutorial on Larry’s voice.
I just got the final titan cutscene. I thought I was crying hard before but bruuuuuh your Arven VA got me crying a river here ;.;
Bro this brings out so much more emotion for mobostiff like it was emotional reading it but listening to it like it’s an actual move this is amazing
What GameFreak needs to be doing is hiring these voice actors for Scarlet and Violet Dub when it’s that time
The voice acting is amazing it really puts everything together that was previously lacking, gj!
And now I’m crying again. Thanks a lot! It was already emotional enough having to go through all of these scenes in the game, but hearing voices that match them perfectly makes it so much more special. 😭❤️
This is the best voice acting I've seen ppl add
You guys did such an amazing job and you really captured the emotions that were in the games

It's crazy how so many of us love Pokémon & GameFreak treat us like cash machine only and don't give a F
The titan/Arven quest line was so good and I loved it. Really got me into the story. This video just cemented the fact that they did so good in the story telling for this game.
Oh my gosh… This is so fantastic! Well done everyone! Makes me see the voices in different ways I never even thought possible!
Honestly you did a bang up job with the choice in voice actors, they fit so well.
Me watching the Arven cutscene: "I'm not crying, You're crying"
I watched these in reverse but DANG was I right about how much more impacted these were with your voice actors. Especially the Path of Legends scene where Arven looked like he was about to give up just to break down with joy at his beat friend being back from death's door
This just makes me want this more in these games. There was so much potential for Voice Acting
This is great! It makes me wonder what it would look like in an actual voice acted game. I’d be down if it was this good.
Why would they animate the lips moving in sync to the subtitles AND HAVE NO VOICE ACTING?!
Also, this is INCREDIBLE!!! Major props to all who worked on this!!!
