I really sympathize with Sheldon needing time to himself bc everything gets too much
Can we acknowledge that Sheldon intentionally made a dirty joke.
This was one of my fave moments of Leonard & Penny's relationship. It just seemed so realistic and in character for her, and you know she meant it because of the way the words just slipped out without a second thought. And the gravity of what she said and the implications just hitting her afterwards. Such a heartfelt moment
I agree, and you put that very well. It was such a good choice on the writers to see her wait to save the "I love you" moment for this time and in that way.
I think it's one of the worst moments. Leonard has so little faith in Penny that he spies on her when all she's doing is working on a school project. That's a textbook example of a toxic boyfriend.
@@vetarlittorf1807 That's part of it, but I think a bigger part was how Leonard felt about himself. He lacks the confidence in himself to realize that he does have options in a relationship. We saw this with him missing Alex's flirting. It's not just him being oblivious, it's him thinking that he's not worthy of being hit on by an attractive woman. And even though Penny has been with him for some time now, she had not yet said I love you to this point, so Leonard was in constant fear that she'd leave him for someone better. He knows she has options, and he simultaneously doesn't think he does. So it all adds up to where we are at.

It felt kind of last minute to me. They don't really make a scene of it but they also don't really appreciate it. And the scene only really stands out because she has refused to say it before.
Howard and Raj did kind of ask what he was doing. They asked where he was going and he said "I just told you" and "see you in court" etc.

I can relate to Sheldon’s need to have some personal time after a busy day.
Side Note: Loved the prank he pulls on Howard and Raj, honestly, they deserved it.
I am not surprised Howard and Raj are doing something creepy.

I forgot that it was in this episode, but Sheldon making the "pecking for corn" joke is literally one of the best things that Sheldon ever does in this series. lol

It sucks that penny saying I love you is only seen as significant because of how rare it is as opposed to just simply communicating it. It feels like a last minute thing rather than a milestone
Of course the question is, which English accent is the sexiest? There's so many dialects over such a small country, cockney, Geordie, upper class, just to name a few.
Which accent does Daisy Ridley have?
Just one thing that US shows always get wrong, there is no British accent, you either have a Scottish, English, Wales accent etc
They say he does this everyday, yet after this episode he never does it again lol.
I don't know about accents, but I'd say the most affectionate language is Japanese.

Someone suggested I watch this episode and so I googled it and this came up. OMG - is this real? Could anything be more boring and distracting? I thought the characters in this show had the biggest egos - but this takes the cake! HELP!!!!
YTF would any adult Brit attend classes at some community college in the States? Makes nooooo sense whatsoever... anyway... the actor was in Alphas a popular but cancelled scifi show around the time so maybe it was to lever in a cameo Easter egg for the nerds?

This was one of the episodes when I saw where Leonard was coming from. I usually can't stand his whining and groveling but this was kinda different. When your a nerd and you been through so much in life, regarding relationships, it can make you insecure for the right reasons. However, the part where he explained that everywhere they go guys hit on her, even if he's right there, if I was him, I would have used that to my advantage. I'm a petty nerd and if I was in that position, I would have smack my girl on the ass and tongue kiss the hell out of her in front of them, and make her tell them who daddy is 💯😂. I know not a lot of people have that type of courage but I doooooooo🤷♂️😎.
Sheldon venting to Howard and Raj for the first time was a highlight of this episode. In previous episodes like the episode where Sheldon was trying to figure out Howard's magic card trick, he said he had important things to think about, that's when he started to use his time to do other things. Like in the 3rd season, he told Penny that an infinite number of Sheldons, in other universes you will never see him dancing. Then a season later, he's waltzing with Amy lol. So it's not really a surprise that Sheldon had an hobby in this ep. And it's going to much better.
I loved Sheldon and leonard made me mad penny was only working on the report he should trust her in my opinion they were a bad couple
He's insecure. He feels she's completely out of his league, and so is nervous that one day she'll realize that and leave him. And it's not his fault; his insecurities go all the way back to his mother and how he was raised. What makes them a healthy couple is that despite their flaws, they come together and make it work because they love each other.
@@AZDfox yeah no he takes it to whole level he should realise by now you are your own person when you are 18 you don't need to even stay in contact with your parents penny was very trustful and loyal it was leonard that cheated and it's leonard thats trying to dictate her life plus they don't mix well they have nothing in common

And they are not a healthy couple. They have no respect for each other. Leonard only wants Penny for sex and to project his mother issues onto and Penny is only with Leonard because he wore her down and refused to take no for an answer.
The reason Leonard is spying on her is because he sees Penny as his property. Leonard and Penny are a worse couple than Ross and Rachel.
Penny should be with someone like Zach. He's loyal, kind and respectful of other people.
And Leonard should be with Alex. She's the only woman who actually wants to be with him.

I really don't like Leonard in this episode only because he once again is exhibiting nice guy behavior. Cuz hyperfixation on someone that he doesn't need to worry about it makes him so annoying because of the overwhelming desperation. Normally through the kind of thing that TV and film is used to characterize jerks but apparently nerds to do it too. 😊 And unfortunately this shows a lack of trust from Leonard which could speak to his insecurities physically but he doesn't need to express it in such an unhealthy manner.
