    For the peanut butter cookies...I always, always (as been taught) dip the fork tines in sugar before pressing the tines into the dough. The tines don’t stick to the cookies and the small amount of sugar gives the cookies a nice texture!!

    If you press your fork in sugar or flour it will keep the fork from sticking to the cookie when you press on it. ❤

    • @dhwani8890
      @dhwani8890 Před 5 lety +5

      AngelsWorldTV I used about a cup of coconut shavings (yes, they can be fresh!) and half a cup of condensed milk. This worked for me but you can add how much ever condensed milk you what until it reached the desired consistency. Do try them! These were amazing.

      I've never wasted so much time replying to a cookie blog and a very simple one at that. People go look up Vegan and Vegetarian and Organic cookies you'll learn alot and can actually find a cookie that doesn't use sugar or uses it minimally. I regret accidentally watching this in the first place but yes it's better than the store bought, 100% better.

    Hi Gemma
    I have been making these peanut butter
    cookies for over 40 years. My kids loved making them right after a
    meal for desert, the cookies were always nice and soft then. The next
    day after play or school the cookies were hard not even crisp. We
    would put them in an airtight bag or bowl with the heel of bread and
    that would make the cookies nice and soft again just like the kids
    liked them.
    I can't wait to try the oatmeal
    cookies, they sound delish!

    These are amazing cookies Gemma, I can't wait to give them a go. Particularly now as my husband has developed a bit of a gluten intolerance so these will be perfect for him. Actually, these recipes reminds me of baking every weekend with my wee Mammy when I was wee. We would spend the whole day making coconut macaroons, raspberry ruffles, chocolate truffles, Viennese fingers, shortbread, little mini apple tarts....you name it, we made it for our big family. And all these goodies lasted us all week and we didn't spend a penny on processed, bought biscuits. And then the weekend rolled back around, and the baking process began again. I loved it. And at the age of 8, I was pretty adept at making all the different pastries under the sun, lol. No wonder I have a sweet tooth, heehee. Lee x

    hi mam last tym u replied me i am big fan of urs and i am of 13 yrs and tried every recipe and too my brother loves your cooking and u r my inspiration thanx....alot but a query that i am vegan and agar agar is not available and too the heavy cream plz....tell what to do

    • @biggerbolderbaking
      @biggerbolderbaking  Před 7 lety +2

      Agar agar is a vegetable source gelling agent, as is China Grass, and Carrigeen moss. All of these are derived from seaweed! and they are very effective. Heavy cream is from cows milk, it is not vegan! it is the fat from the milk really. This varies from 35% - 49% for a cream which will whip up, and hold its' shape. If you have further questions message me on Facebook messenger, it is hard to return to comments here on CZcams :)

    I am making all three of these tomorrow, these are all three mostly healthy and so yummy, and I am pretty sure I have all of these in my pantry. A little tip if you make the cookies with the banana again, allow the banana to brown on the outside completely & it is more easy to mash and more sweet! 👍🏻

    • @biggerbolderbaking
      @biggerbolderbaking  Před 7 lety +9

      This is only a lot of sugar if you eat ll of these yourself! lol. Yes, it is a lot for one person, but not for a batch of cookies. You need to hold these cookies together, and the sugar is what does this, it is necessary :)

      Elsa Rhae it's a freaking COOKIE! You sound like a dumbass. Let me tell you a little secret. Cookies have sugar! And the reason yoo sound stupid? Bc you probably have NO idea how much sugar is in most of what you eat or drink. I'm so tired of you idiots coming in recipe videos and commenting on the ingredients when you're probably just fine scarfing down 5 oreos simply because you didn't see the sugar (and shortening and preservatives and God only knows what else) actually going into them. Get yourself a kitchen scale. Weigh out 10 grams of sugar and look how much that actually IS. 10 grams doesn't sound like a lot, but it looks like way more. You're always gonna be better off making something at home.

    • @Casandra-li9rv
      @Casandra-li9rv Před 6 lety +1

      There's no need to be so condescending.to anyone. Elsa asked the question to Gemma and Elsa asked very politely to her. She doesn't sound stupid at all but you sound very ignorant. There are many people on youtube making great recipes without much sugar. Sugar is not good for us and there are alternatives that are healthier. Why are you the one that is so tired of people you call idiots, is this your channel or what? You also are assuming so much about people you don't know or have no idea what they eat..saying scarfing down 5 oreos because they didn't see the sugar. Of course we're all better off making our own but we can find other channels where they use less sugar or maple syrup to make delicious cookies. Get over yourself and stop being a bully.

    • @Casandra-li9rv
      @Casandra-li9rv Před 6 lety

      Sugar isn't the only thing that holds together a cookie. You seem very uneducated but I guess this is the way you make good money. Good job! lol
