Even though I know it probably feels awful, that falling snow looks so beautiful and dreamy. And that was interesting about the grand National beeping.
Also crazy to see pieces of the big one track up there like that!!!
It was so cool to see, it wasn’t easy to walk in but it was so atmospheric. I’d love another day like that at BPB sometime.
It’s always so fascinating to see the track being replaced 😁🏗

Edit: that bridge from icon down to avalanche could do with sound gripper/ rougher flooring. Its slippy as it it in the rain and on my last visit in November witnessed rather bad falls, qlmost slipped myself with sensible footwear.
It was a surreal experience! I’ve only ever been at BPB in snow 4 times before, it was great to see ❄️

Just thought I’d add in for those wondering, the car in the Grand Prix station is a Jordan EJ11 which was the 2001 car and the one used on the Big One was an EJ12 from 2002

I was there (you can spot me on the carousel). Trust me when I say the log flume was a beautiful mistake in that temperature!
We did not expect the snow at all, but it was strange and amazing to see the park like that!

This is awesome. I am an ex Pleasure Beach employee and have lived here for 23 years. Snow is more common here than you think, but most of the time it doesn't settle because of the salt air. In 23 years, this is only the 3rd time I have seen it settle at the pleasure beach.
I must have been the only person in Blackpool that didn't see the snow the other day, because I was really poorly.

We were there on Sunday, had an absolutely brilliant day. Flying Machines in the snow wasn’t the best idea though!!!
Agreed that the Bowladrome/FY4 area really could do with some redevelopment. The Bowladrome in particular is just dead space, can’t imagine the arcade machines in here make them that much money?!
It will be excellent to see a big redevelopment in that area

Went there this day! Was so scared the rides were gonna stay closed all day. Glad they didn’t

My idea for the trauma Towers/FY4 and Bowl la drome site🤓😎
1) like Mike was saying the Velvet coaster building restaurant either where trauma towers used to be or where are the most used to be one of the two.
2) The other site which ever one it would be out of the two would be home to a new undercover/indoor flat ride.
3) on the FY4/car park and Bowl la drome site would become home to a new indoor rollercoaster, think sort of like the mummy at Universal but on the Pleasure Beach budget.
Will an indoor roller coaster draw the crowds in, more so than ICON?
I’m all for an indoor queue but indoor coasters are mostly underwhelming so I’d rather BPB didn’t go down that route.
@@yourexperienceguide if it’s marketed correctly and possibly a marketable IP attached to it then it would drew crowds in.
I don’t agree with them being mostly underwhelming personally but each to their own, at the moment Thrillseekers don’t have much of an option when the weather is crap, either put up with it and ride whatever coaster they’re riding in the rain or ride at the dark rides which as fantastic as they are you’re not really much of an option for Thrillseekers and they we’re never meant to be, an indoor coaster would address this and give them something to do that’s more thrilling ride wise indoors.

Last week in the morning ghost train was 5 min wait
It’s usually quiet in the morning but not when there’s snow
Mike dispelled the urban myth I have believed for years about the F1 car in Grand Prix Station being the same as the Big One run which was interesting to find out 😊
The cars are actually a very different colour of yellow, the base colour of the display car is much more fluorescent than the one used on the ride

February is far too early to open in the UK. End of March earliest.
Feel like Ice Blast/Play Station has had its time now and needs replaced with a 300-400ft drop tower.
I’d be happy ish to see Ice Blast replaced but I think people who visit BPB still love it.

Yeah, I’ve done icon in heavy rain with all my waterproof gear on and it’s still incredibly unpleasant🌧😐

Rivers caves ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIES ME. I've done most of the Florida rides, uk rides, etc etc but RIVERS CAVES TERRIFIES ME. I was dragged on it as a kid and still traumatised by it (and tom sawyers ride)

I think they should scrap the bollardrome, fountains & river caves & build a decent rmc in the space
Why the River Caves? Removing it would gain no space
@@yourexperienceguide there must be loads of space if the river caves were removed its not a small ride🤷♂️
@@chrishoughton510 It’s wrapped around W&G Thrill-O-Matic, you’d have to remove both and still have very little footprint to work with. Removing 2 well liked attractions would be a massive gamble by any park.
@@yourexperienceguide id be less inclinded to remove w&g but river caves has to go, its a dated, tacky old boring ride, in fact its cringe worthy

It’s a common complaint amongst enthusiasts
In comparison to other launch coasters - Rita 62mph, Stealth 80mph, Furius Baco 83mph, Red Force 111mph, Dragster 120mph, it would be deemed as slow. That said, it's still not what you'd call 'slow'
