- We went to Blackpool Pleasure Beach for their Twilight Thrills day which gave everyone the chance to do the rides for 11 hours! Sadly the weather was terrible, and the park was very quiet as a result of that ☔️

Rev could easily be retrofitted with gates. Even a manually operated sliding gate system could work.
Any maintenance issues with the track taziker could easily fix. Trains are standard arrow trains and Vekoma could be used.
If it was easy it’d have been done a long time ago.
I don’t think they’ll invest into another big refurb when it needs one.
I loved this honest (as always) vlog. I don’t know how you kept up with who you’re actually with, Scott. Different people dipping out all day! You were the mainstay!

Used to be a big fan of the all the UK parks back in the 1980s and 1990s but then emigrated to the US. So I love watching your videos to keep in touch with what's happening nowadays. But I do miss the British parks, going to Blackpool in the rain, riding the coasters and going to the chippy for lunch - sounds like paradise! I really miss all that. Including the rain!
From what I hear your can experience all the delights of Blackpool weather, and a superior Arrow Hypercoaster, in Ohio!

Yeah Cedar Point is only a 4 hour drive from here but just seeing Blackpool again made me very homesick.
Nice to see you yesterday. I have never known the Big One to run so quick as that day, i experienced air time in spots I never knew produced it, was pulling G's in the turnaround yet it came into the station so quickly that we got held on the brake block just after the tunnel. It was a good day and loved this video.

Great vlog and nice to bump into you on river caves yesterday! Completely agree the staff were great. I went on my own and did Valhalla 10 times (yesterday was my first time on it since re-furb) and the staff on Valhalla were fantastic. It was a really great day! I left at 6 to get my dog but I'd have definitely stayed later. Shame the park seems to be getting so quiet.

Thanks very much for the vlog. We rode the Big Dipper since it reopened and it's amazing, can't wait to get back on it. A possible solution for late night riding is to stop the set night riding dates instead if the weather is good and Blackpool is busy have an instant social media marketing and advertising around the town £20 late riding 6-9pm and may draw people in. People can register for late night riding and receive an instant message, great for people who live locally and gives people who live further away chance to get there without having such a long day getting there for 10am and leaving at 9pm. We are season pass holders and it's too long a day with travelling for late night riding. We love Blackpool Pleasure Beach. We stayed in Blackpool in June when the weather was great but the Pleasure Beach closed at 5pm. There is such a focus on longer opening hours in July and August in most places it would be great if extended hours at other times of the year e.g. May, June and September.

Sorry you’ve been having a rough time of it lately Scott. I hope things start to look up for you. I know that feeling where a good day at PB just makes you feel better for a bit. Haven’t been able to go since March cus of health stuff but going for a couple of days at the end of the month and can’t wait to get back. Even if the weathers still rubbish I know I’ll be smiling 🙂 Looks like Big One and Dipper were running great!

The problem with variable closing is if someone like me who lives miles away books to come for a long day till 10pm and then when I am there it shuts early....I would be fuming and demand my money back and would be reluctant to come back! Hope you are doing OK sir. Good to see Mike back, he normally talks a lot of sense but I am not sure about Nash being the best woodie in the country. It is excellent but our last ride on the green train (granted it was heavy rain and back row) was very rough. Still love it though. Cheeky ERT would be amazing!
Agree on Big One, not the best coaster but just like Vampire at Chess one of the great Arrow classics and we absolutely love both.
It’s Mark that claims the Nash is best woodie in the country, I speak sense and point out it just isn’t!

Blackpole and Thorpe are sh- build it and they will come. Spend the money, do it all up, rip out the old..i mean come on, the Arc etc...all this so -called heritage etc..get rid of it..modernise it...
I was there on Sunday and the place was busy enough imo. It's no fun visiting the Pleasure Beach if it's packed

5 to 10 mins on a Sat for the BIG ONE is insane. Cannot believe it was smooth though it was an absolute bone rattler when i was on it a few weeks ago so rough.
I still love the Rev. The most intense ride at the park get ride of that theres no intense rides really?
Great point on people thinking it will be rammed i certainly think that and often wonder is it really worth it coming all the way from Glasgow and its rammed.
I thought Big One was excellent yesterday, much smoother than it’s been all season. No idea why.

Good vlog lads, With Blackpool being a 3 1/2 hour car journey publicised late night riding is a big pull for us. After closing on a normal opening day we normally head for the south pier which is usually packed.

Great vlog, its a shame the weather has been so bad recently its affected alot of outdoor places this summer. Nuce to see the paper ticket back in force, i remember them having charging stations for phones during covid so people could keep thier phone charged for the e tickect, that wasnt a very good idea. Thankyou for the video

Can't believe that Blackpool pleasure Beach is so quiet
The weather hasn't helped but thought that it would be busier
It was a surprising day
I think 11am would be a better opening time. I know they do open 11 till 5 on some off peak days but 11am is a better time for a seaside park. Then stay open to either 6,7,8 or 9 depending on how busy it is. I can't agree with Marks comment that the public love Nash. I doubt that many do. It's ok on one of the 3 non wheel seats but it's horrendous anywhere else. It rarely gets a big queue despite the dire throughput. Most people avoid it.
I think the Nash and all the BPB woodies are still well loved

Feel better soon, mate. The thing that sets your vlogs above others is the discussions and opinions you share. I feel bad for the low turnouts in general, but maintain a pay monthly season pass would bring in more families, ala the Merlin card. I’ve spoken to so many families who travel the the 2,3,4 hours to visit Merlin parks. Think it’s worth a try. We’d visit several times a season if this were an option.
At the moment we can only make two trips a year and we use Tesco vouchers to help fund the cost. The reality is £60 a month for our family having unlimited access is more appealing and doable, month to month budget wise than nearly £160 one-day admission for one visit. There’d also be a degree of secondary spend for food and merch throughout the season, as has happened with our Merlin passes.
You could keep an eye out around September/October for the offers. Appreciate it’s a chunk of money but if you’re close enough to the park you can definitely get your money’s worth - mine pays for itself in the first month of the season usually
@@Mikeb1001 cheers Mike. We are about an hour and a half away so could make it work, it’s just a huge wedge to pay out at once. Really hope they think about a pay monthly scheme.

Why not try an event or two where the park opens at 5pm and closes at 1am. If it works great if it doesn't, don't do it again. You're right, spending a whole day from 10am to 10pm is a long day for being at a park depending how busy it is. Discounted entry for anyone who books an evening meal at the park or goes to see an afternoon show.

Hi . Bit of a strange question but I really need to know the answer to this before i go down to pleasure beach. What are the size limits on the rollercoasters at pleasure beach.
If it helps im probably a couple stone lighter than your buddy Mike. So do you reckon I will fit on big one and Icon, and are there any ones I won't fit on.

I think cost of living is hitting the pockets and the weather is unpredictable this summer so people don't want to commit to outdoor days out. Normal summers the weather is more predictable

If you are a season pass holder at Blackpool Pleasure Beach you will need to pre-book your eTicket as normal to attend. If you do not have a Blackpool Pleasure Beach season pass, you will need to buy an eTicket to attend which can be done on the official Blackpool Pleasure Beach website. "
