- In today's video, we are further exploring my new Caran d'Ache Museum Aquarelle Watercolors Pencils! I had so much fun with these for the flamingo painting last time and I have bee wanting to practice with landscapes for a while now.
The paintings I did today didn't turn out perfect, but they were a lot of fun and I definitely got to practice some with my new pencils! I hope you enjoy!

The vibrancy of these pencils in your demonstrations remind me of the intensity of Inktense pencils. Love your videos…your demonstrations are great and the talking you do is all about what you are demonstrating (not just a lot of chit chat). Thank you!
I think both paintings are great! What I like about the second one with the trees is the reflection in the water. I’m always impressed when people paint water and reflections in water. Best of luck in your new job!
The reflection was fun to do for sure!! Thank you for watching😊
Happy belated St. Patrick’s Day 💚! These watercolor pencils are perfect to create nature textures. It’s currently storming and gray where I’m at ⛈. Love the gray sky you created 🤩! Yay for not feeling burnt out anymore 💗! Oooooo I loveeee how this lake turned out 😍!! Both beautiful landscapes 👍🏻👍🏻!
The watercolor pencils definitely worked so well for what I was doing! I guess this video came at the perfect time for you haha!! And thank you😊💕
I love both! And I love the sky Alexis! I had not yet seen a demonstration with these Caran d'Ache Museum Aquarelle pencils, I find it very interesting! you did a great job!🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Yay so happy you loved it! I really like how the sky turned out too. I need to do more landscapes. Thank you for watching❤️
storm clouds looking fantabulous...👏👏👏
And as always you created masterpieces... 😍😍
Thank you!! Ahh the storm clouds took so much work to get right but I’m happy with it in the end!
I think both turned out beautifully but the second was my favorite. The water looked gorgeous 😍. You're so talented my dear
Thank you! The second could use a little work (maybe some colored pencil on top or something). I am happy you enjoyed the video☺
lovely landscapes 😀 green is my favourite colour so can never have too much green 😀
Yup, never too much green! They probably could’ve been greener honestly😂
My 20 Caran d Ache Museum Pencils arrived this morning, never used Pencils before, O.M.G what a game changer, I am extremely impressed with this set.
So excited for you!!
Loved seeing your drawing process with watercolor pencils! I was very curious about the Caran D'ache ones, and I think they have beautiful, vibrant colors. I really loved your drawings, specially the first one with the flowers, they stand out very nicely!
Thank you! The Musuem Aquarelle pencils are really vibrant and gorgeous. I learned that you do have to be careful with them, though. Too much pigment, and there will be a mess because you lose your values. Thanks for watching!
Glad to see you back love your work good luck in life and new job stay safe
Thank you for watching Terry!
I do love the flowers in your first piece - both sides! Would be fun to see what you end up doing with the second one. ❤️
Oh the second one, I’m not so sure what to do about it. Maybe add some outlines with fine liner at this point!😂 thanks for watching😊
You nailed that field of flowers! I’ve tried doing that before and my flowers clashed in with the green and ended up as muddy brownish blobs. 😂 The whole painting looks lovely with that stormy sky. Ooh a new car and a new job? That’s a lot of change. I watch videos pretty much every day so it’s ok if you change them up a little bit to fit your new schedule. I still need to get my Museum Aquarelle set out again….along with a gigantic list of everything else, lol. The forest with lake reflections is cool too. I have pieces which I end up going back to sometimes. 😊
Thank you! I was really careful to leave some space around were the flowers were so the green wouldn't mix in because I was afraid of the mud problem😂 The Museum Aquarelles are wonderful to work with! I am behind on watching videos lately and sometimes I end up just spending one hour catching up on all of them with a snack😂
I missed the video where you got these (I'll go back and watch it after). Don't worry about keeping a consistent schedule. It's a lot, creating the art, editing it and posting and all the other things that come with it. I really like both pieces you did and I can see how opaque these are when your just doing your first layers. Good luck with your new job also :)
Thank you!! It’s definitely a lot, especially when you have a lot of other things going on in your life all of a sudden! But I figure even if my schedule is a little warped right now, as long as I try to have a video each week it is okay. These watercolor pencils are definitely uniquely opaque
I enjoyed this video! I’m not good using watercolor pencils at all. You did great!
Thanks so much:) I definitely needed some practice to improve with watercolor pencils
These pencils are by far my favorite watercolor pencils! If it weren't for the lack of lightfastness I would probably just stick to the Supracolors though since they are really good as well and cost half as much.
They are awesome! Oh yeah I have yet to try the Supracolors. I noticed all Caran d'Ache products tend to be quite pricey, but this set and Luminance are especially so. I am currently trying to build my collection of supplies with decent lightfastness, so it was worth the purchase!
Your landscapes were stunning 🤩 . I am experimenting with watercolours at the moment so your video was very helpful.
You move around your paper a lot when working so for someone like me who watch most CZcams videos sped up by x2 watching your video gives me a bit of a headache! Just letting you know the effect of moving your paper around constantly when drawing. Thanks for your video though 👍
Thank you! I didn't realize how often I was moving the paper around. I guess it helps me to work from different angles. I used to just keep it taped down, though, so maybe I can figure out a way to make it easier on the eyes!
I am about to buy a new stuffs before going to the Political Rally near in the downtown. I'm still thinking which one to buy, Pastel Pencils or Watercolor Pencils. My problem would be the availability of the papers if I bought Pastel Pencils and my problem for picking Watercolor pencils would be the handling because damn the waters are hard to control.
I think watercolor pencils would be a good choice. it is easier to find good watercolor paper vs pastel paper in my opinion. also, pastel sometimes can be irritating to the eye/nose if you breathe it in! that is just my opinion though
I need to explore landscapes more. I don't focus on them so much
It’s fun exploring something new for sure :)
@@AlexisCassandraArt I saw your other channel. Do you like old horror movies?
@@chuckanderson6115 a lot of old ones, and new ones too!!
I do too. I just subbed it. I want to draw old Karloff and Lugosi. TY for all the great content.
Thanks Alexis for the wonderful review. One question and request if it is possible for you in future to try and review. There are Faber Castell Super Soft Eco pencils set of 12 colors + 2 graphite pencils comes with them.I live in Europe and for our market this colors don't exist but i saw this from Samuel Torres hyper realistic drawing and so many other artist from brasil.Maybe its for the America and Brasil market so maybe you can find it in your stores.
I would be forever gratefull if you can try this pencils and to test graphite pencils from that set.I saw this Samuel say that he can draw super light to the super dark with them almost entire portrait he says he can do with only this 1 pencil. If that is true that is amazing graphite ability. But if its only for America market i would not be able to find it anyways.. :S
Thanks upfront Alexis.-
Oh thank you for making me aware of these pencils!! I will have to keep those in mind. I think I’ve actually heard of them before
@@AlexisCassandraArt Thank you they are vibrant soft colors but i honestly am more interested about 2 graphite pencils that they put into this set of 12.Are these graphite pencils really that versitile.
@@predragdjokic3761 If I try them soon, I will test out both the colors and the graphite!!
@@AlexisCassandraArt thank you very much Alexis
How much are those pencils in your country anyway? I think it is cheaper compared to my location
This set cost me about 100 USD. It was a birthday treat because honestly they are pretty pricey
@@AlexisCassandraArt I'm expecting that it would be more expensive in my country, because of the tax.
