  • After Freddy vs Jason released in 2003, fans eagerly awaited more versus films featuring other famous horror icons. But what they don't know is just how close we were to a John Carpenter directed and Clive Barker written film, featuring the two of the biggest villains in horror clashing with each other. I'm of course talking about Michael vs Pinhead.
Written, Narrated and Edited by Tyler Nichols
    Produced by John Fallon

SERIES SYNOPSIS: This series, "WTF Happened To This Unmade Horror Movie" takes a look at the various horror projects that could never seem to get things off the ground, be it for budgetary concerns, creative differences, or just an ever evolving Hollywood landscape. We dive into every aspect and see just how close these films had come to cameras rolling.

Pinhead vs Freddy would've made such a better idea. If Michael is going to throw down with anyone it should be Jason in a kind of demonic Rocky type situation.
Also, Freddy vs Chucky could be fun as well. Think about Freddy trying to fight an army of Chucky dolls.

while Freddy vs Pinhead would have made more sense i think Michael still mixes well with the hellraiser mythology. The cenobites' job is to basically torture humans and Michael likes to do that too. Maybe they see potential in Michael and try to turn him into a cenobite. Maybe they could come up with a prophecy about a human chosen by Leviathan and they suspect that's Michael or something idk.

@@StephenLeGresley yeh see you get it, it would really be a spectacle to see cuz I'm not even sure who's more powerful out of pin head and Freddy so it wouldn't really be a nail biting fight
And Jason vs Michael would be cool to see cuz they both got brute strength and slow movement so it would be cool to see them slugging it out although I think Jason would probably last more due to him getting up and and stuff and coming back while Michael just gets shot or stabbed or blown up

Doug Bradley Actually received a Michael VS Pinhead Outline in June of 2022 and He actually really enjoyed it. Many others also enjoyed it because of how well it stuck to the other films and how everything (even some of the smallest details about both characters) were mentioned. It was also liked because of how the 4th Hellraiser film taking places in different timelines...Still stayed faithful to that one too. Plus Doug Bradley really was proud of the ending for it as well (without screwing either franchise as well).

I personally like the idea of the backstory of Michael opening the puzzle box and being possessed by Samhain as a demon. Mainly because Michael being possessed makes a lot more sense than Michael myers being a mortal man doing so much unbelievable stuff beyond that of a regular human being. Not to mention the fight between Pinhead and Michael would be pretty epic. Kind of a shame with both John Carpenter and Clive Barker being on board. The horror genre is all about suspending disbelief so keeping Michael grounded is a completely hilarious concept to me.

    • @olskoolshinobi5103
      @olskoolshinobi5103 Před rokem +8

the original Halloween film novelization by Curtis Richards opens with a prologue detailing an ancient Celtic curse -- the curse of Samhain -- which dooms the soul of a murderer to wander the earth forever recreating the killings of unrequited love taking place in an old Irish village. and Michael, before he commits the initial murders as a child, tells his grandmother he is hearing voices relating this ancient tale. so I imagine Parker must have been at least partially aware of this material going all the way back to this 1978 book.

      @crazyfun5150 Před rokem +4

@@olskoolshinobi5103 that definitely sounds interesting. I think more backstory like that actually explains more in the story. Because the ancient curse of Samhain and even in the 4th and 5th film the Thorn group all attempts to explain why Michael Myers is the way he is. Because him randomly killing his sisters and anyone that gets in his way makes no sense. I particularly thought making Samhain a demon that possesses Michael was brilliant. Because it explains why he has superhuman strength and how he is able to survive things no mortal man could. Too bad this wasn’t able to be made because I feel like it would’ve improved the mythology of Halloween and explained more in the process.

I honestly hope Halloween never does a crossover with anything else. Part of what I love so much about the Halloween series and Michael Myers is that it's never explicitly stated that there's a supernatural element, but it's implied by the fact that Michael seemingly can't die, and it leaves the audience wondering why. And so I think pairing him with some other supernatural killer will diminish that mystery to that aspect.

It would've been great to see Carpenter and Barker work together. I'd honestly take any sort of collaboration involving the two of them together. I don't think Michael vs Pinhead would ever work honestly. The whole versus thing is always going to be fun to think about and discuss amongst genre fans but any actual feature film on the concept no matter what character it is just seems to be destined to fail as a movie. At that point you're just combining mythologies to try to make the movie make sense instead of having a real interesting story to tell. It would never live up to anyones expectations. Now box office wise it's different because it would be the easiest thing in the world to market towards movie fans in general not just horror fans so there is money to be made from the concept. In the end you'd end up with just another entry in both franchises and not a classic horror film or anything groundbreaking not that it has to be. Some people just want to be entertained. But it's never going to be the best entry or the favorite so why do it. It's a situation where concept is always better than what you end up with. Btw, Tyler this was an interesting watch! I'd like to see more of these versus concepts from that time just because there were so many rumors floating around back then. Keep the great horror content coming, sir!

    - Michael Vs Jason
    - Cenobites Vs NightBreed Vs RawHead Rex
    - PumpkinHead vs RawHead Rex
    - PumpkinHead vs Pinhead
and Chucky can actually be sprinkled in any/all of these, like in the way the Joker was used in Suicide Squad.
Also a "CHUCKY GOES TO TEXAS"(takes on ol Leatherface and the family) would be fucking gold. Like at the very end he gets the bodies of LeatherFace, Chop-Top and Sherrif Hoyt for the soul transer ritual. Leaving room to follow it up with maybe someone sending PumpkinHead after the Sawyers but Chucky hasnt done jack shit to the witch or person in particular, so he's just on this fucked mission to take on a Demon thats unknowing snatching up HIS soul to fulfil the wish of revenge on the Sawyers....it could all be so simple and fun but hollywood is lame lowkey.

They want him to come to their universe, pinhead and the cenobites try to capture Micheal as micheal kills people. Then we get the big battle of pinhead vs Micheal, the fight is intense but the chains are far too much and Micheal gets dragged away and pinhead leaves. The end credit scene is where we see micheal being transformed into a cenobite. I have a half-baked movie idea in my head. I was compelled to type out a story. I ran with it. I'm not even a writer. I'm posting it everywhere. Steal it, change it, like it, hate it, criticize me, just hear me out. I think this should be a movie:
Depending on the ending of Halloween Ends, Freddy Krueger somehow Incorporates the Curse of the Thorn to manipulate Michael Myers into destroying the local supply of Hypnocil and murdering the people of Elm Street, sort of like he used Jason Voorhees to do in the past.
Meanwhile, Jason has obtained The Necronomicon Ex Mortis: The Book of the Dead. Combined with several artifacts, Jason has become a sorcerer.
As Freddy sets Myers loose on Elm Street, Jason slumbers and enters the nightmare realm. He confronts Freddy in his dream. Freddy, fully confident that Jason doesn't stand a chance against him in the nightmare realm, surrounds Jason with walls of raging water, using Jason's fear of drowning to scare him... Jason opens the Lament Configuration inside the nightmare... The raging water disappears.
The nightmare realm becomes Leviathan's Hell and the cenobites appear. The cenobites target Freddy as well as Jason. Freddy has no control as the nightmare realm becomes the realm of Leviathan. Freddy's powers are rendered useless in this realm. The cenobites easily begin to tear his soul apart. Freddy and Jason are thrown up on hooks with chains, but Jason breaks free and decapitates Freddy before the cenobites have the chance to savor any pain.
Jason then goes on a rampage through the realm of Leviathan as he opposes the cenobites. He easily and brutally dismembers them. He uses their own chains against them. He can kill them, which is not possible by any regular means, except Jason is using the Kandarian Dagger.
The masochistic cenobites see waste of suffering in Jason's brutality. Pinhead tells him it's a waste of good suffering as Jason quickly dismembers more of them. With only Jason and Pinhead remaining, the two face off. Pinhead is more of a challenge. Pinhead tries to savor Jason's pain, but senses that Jason incapable of feeling anything except bloodlust. Pinhead waits too long. Jason is able to break free and end Pinhead with the dagger. Pinhead crumbles into a wrinkled corpse.
Leviathan appears. The walls twist and bend to trap Jason, restraining him. Jason struggles to break free, but is now dealing with a more powerful force. Jason shows great resilience and almost breaks free. He becomes bound to the hellish scenery. He becomes partially encased. He begins to be transformed into a cenobite by Leviathan.
Jason is incapable of defeating Leviathan. He continues to struggle as pieces of him are replaced and transformed. He begins to take another form. He wants to continue his violent, SOLO, killing spree, but he has met his match in Leviathan. Jason's mother talks to him in his head. She tells Jason to stop being stubborn and use the Necronomicon to ask the dead for help. Jason breaks one hand free to cast a spell.
Jason uses his Knowledge of the Necronomicon to resurrect the dead cenobites around him as deadites. The deadites convey no prior personality traits. They are pure deadites in the bodies of cenobites and subservient to Jason. The deadite Pinhead breaks Jason free from Leviathan's grasp. Jason hears his mother's voice telling him to solve the puzzle box and escape the realm. Otherwise, he'd be torn apart and become Leviathan's puppet.
Jason solves the puzzle and emerges in the nightmare realm where he left off, except Freddy is now dead. Jason is partially transformed by Leviathan and takes on a slightly different appearance. The water still rages around Jason inside this nightmare. Jason's mother appears. She tells Jason he is free to manipulate the realm. The water dissipates around Jason by his own will. He has control of the nightmare. Jason's mother tells him, "Stop dreaming and get to work." He awakens from his slumber at Camp Crystal Lake.
Meanwhile, Myers is on a killing spree on Elm Street. Ash Williams, on a hunt for the Necronomicon, thinks it's Jason committing the murders. Once Ash and a team of familiar protagonists make their way to Elm Street, Ash realizes it's not Jason. Ash gives Myers a chest full of boomstick that sends Myers off of a fifty foot drop. Myers disappears in a body of water. Ash thinks Myers is dead. He says Jason will be much more of a challenge to kill than Myers was. Ash leaves and continues to search for the Necronomicon. Michael Myers still lives. Without Freddy to pull his strings, Myers abandons Elm Street and stalks Ash on his journey.
Ash and his team reach Camp Crystal Lake, which is now populated by deadites and Jason is in control of them. Jason uses the Necronomicon to perform a ritual and continuously raise deadites. Ash and company intervene. Mayhem ensues.
Ash and his friends are then restrained by deadites as Jason approaches closer to slaughter them. The deadites mock and tease Ash in typical deadite fashion as Jason approaches them.
Jason finally looks as if he is going to deliver a violent, fatal blow to Ash, but instead, he throws his machete away to his side and into a tree, seemingly for no reason. Ash and company are confused. Jason turns away from Ash and stares into the forest where he threw the machete. Michael Myers comes out from behind a tree, the machete embedded in his torso. He pulls the machete out of his body and holds it by the handle, staring back at Jason. Myers attacks Jason with the machete.
While the two fight, Ash uses the opportunity to break free from the deadites and regain the Necronomicon. He begins to remove the deadite spell to stop them from entering.
Jason takes many hits with the machete from Myers, but only suffers minor, superficial damage. Jason uses only his fists to inflict pain on Myers. He snaps Myers arm that is holding the machete. The machete falls to the ground. Myers begins losing the fight as Jason brutally breaks Myers other arm and legs. Jason snaps Myers neck so that it turns his head backwards. Myers falls to the ground. Jason picks up his machete, turns back toward Ash and attempts to continue his onslaught.
Ash has removed the spell that was sending the Deadites, but he needs more time to perform the ritual to send them back.
Ash's friends try to stall Jason and kill him with the Kandarian Dagger. Jason kills them instead.
Myers, still alive, has gotten ahold of the Kandarian Dagger from the dead protagonist and stabs Jason from behind. The dagger begins to send Jason to Hell like it did in the past. The ground opens up to take Jason. Jason shows great resilience once more as demons come from the hole in the ground and try to drag him back to Hell. Jason turns the deadites on the demons. The deadites make the demons lose grip, giving Jason room to almost escape. He tries to pull the dagger from his chest. He almost pulls it out, but Myers kicks the blade all the way back into him. Myers shifts his focus onto the remaining protagonists, but Deadites distract him and he fights with the deadites. Ash finishes the ritual.
The ritual makes the pit beneath Jason grow in size, attracting all Deadites into it like a vacuum and opening a large hole in the ground. The earth quakes. Myers is dragged into the pit by a deadite that is being pulled in like a vacuum. Myers grabs Jason's foot on the way down, pulling Jason farther in. Jason clings to the ledge we with one hand. Demon hands on the pit walls pull Jason down. The deadites are no longer any help to Jason as they are continuously sucked into the hole. Myers holds Jason's foot and a deadite pulls Myers. Jason tries to pull the knife from his chest one last time and is successful. The demons let Jason go.
The pit remains open. The Deadites are gone. Jason fights the vacuum of the pit as Myers hangs onto Jason's foot. Jason kicks Myers off of him. Myers clings to a ledge. Jason pulls himself to the surface. Myers climbs up half way to where Jason was. Jason stands above the pit holding the Kandarian Dagger and stares at Ash.
Ash grabs the Lament Configuration and says a one-liner as he throws it in the hole. It explodes deep down as cenobite chains quickly emerge from the pit, past Myers, to grab Jason, finally returning him to the underworld. Myers watches Jason fall. Myers still clings to the side of the pit. The vacuum stops. Myers tries to climb. Thole closes up around Myers. He is buried.
It is almost a happy ending where it seems the protagonists won, but Freddy was playing everybody the whole time.... It ends in Freddy's nightmare.
Freddy's plan was accomplished. All he needed was the children of Elm Street to remember him for him to be resurrected. He got rid of Jason and anyone who would stand in his way. He takes the Necronomicon and many other artifacts.
I want to write Chucky in there, but it's a tough one.
That would be something I want to see. Starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Bruce Campbell with some familiar franchise faces. It's called Jason V Freddy: Deadraiser... or Halloween - All Deadites Must Die... or Jason Triumphant: Nightmare's End... or Plight of the Woke-Tagonists some mix or amalgam of those titles. I'm going to copy paste this until they make it into a movie. At least put them together in some way.

How about having someone who collects cursed objects has the box and Micheals mask in his collection. Then Michael shows up looking for his mask, the guy panics and summons the cenobites. There’s an idea…….

All these horror icons are rotting in the closets of big movie studios nowadays.
    What a shame 😕
Seeing also the worst horror movies going through the roof like Annabelle, generating 10-50x their budget at the box office, I really don't understand why they can't come up with ideas for those legendary villains.

Phantasm vs Hellraiser would also be quite interesting.

That's like a four minute movie as pinhead summons chain after chain to tear Michael to pieces.

      nope
Michael is evil incarnate, so he has evil "plot" armor
Pinhead cant just use his usual mojo on the shape, Michael isnt a mere average human being

When it comes to hellrasier- there’s no competition- pinhead and his jolly gents would drag them all down to hell in the most horrifying and burial ways. Hmm… WAIT!! Maybe that would be entertaining 🖖😂

Jason Blum said he'd like to see Michael vs the villain from sinister. Could be a good story there
