I agree that it is hard to tell from the website how her lipstick will look on you, but they are SO good. I do not have any of the insanely saturated-yet! My personal fave at the moment is Meet Me in Berlin. By the way, they all look beautiful on you. 💋
I LOVE Meet me in Berlin, though I need to re-apply it quite often, but it's totally in my comfort zone.
I have fawn and le mepris on my wishlist, so this was helpful to see. I too thought kitten mischief would be my perfect everyday color, but it looks more bright pink on my lips .
I’m so happy that you made this video. I just pulled out all of my Lisa lipsticks, and I was kind of trying them on while watching the video, and I had kind written off kitten mischief but I tried it again and I really like it. Strawberry shock is still my all time favorite lipstick on you. So beautiful so unique and soooo flattering

I know what you mean with colors sometimes being slightly different compared to the website. I have also had this experience with some of her lipsticks, perhaps more so with the "nudes". I have been on a binging spree with Lisa's lipsticks. I just checked, last summer when I lip swatched them all I had 11...I think they may be close to 20 (or more!) now. I am SICK, someone stop me!!

I love lip swatches! So, so helpful!! I know it’s always hard to know a shade will look on you from swatches online, but for me this is a particular problem with her lipsticks. I like every lip product I’ve gotten from her, but it never looks at all like the color I thought it would be from her website.

Thank you so much for the lip swatches!! It's definitely the most helpful way to see lipstick colours. I also have a few Lisa lipsticks, they are my favourites and her lipliner formula is AMAZING. Le Mepris and Sunday Matinee are my currently faves but I also love Velvet Intrigue (and I have the matching lip liner) if you're ever on the lookout for a matte peachy nude! Velvet Enchantment is another favourite of mine because it's like a desaturated red (which is great for me because I'm afraid of reds!) Lisa has such a hold on us!!

I agree, kitten mischief seemed to be too pink and deep on me for what I was expecting and looking for, but so many people touted it as their holy grail. It has its place though!

I love Lisa Eldridge make up, and agree it is hard to tell the color from the website. I have fair skin, so I'm always happy to see someone with my skin tone swatch any make up I'm interested in. I have a couple lipsticks from hourglass and I feel like the website doesn't give a true representation either. My current favorite from Lisa Eldridge is the velveteen liquid lipstick in muse. I've been interested in painterly and blush lightly as well.
Loved this video 🥰 they all look incredible on you. We have very different skin tones so it’s interesting to see how different the effect is. I happen to own every single product Lisa’s ever launched 😬 my all time favorite lipstick is Velvet Jazz hands down, but I adore all her reds, especially the most nuanced ones like Cinnabar and Enchantment. My favorite Luxuriously Lucent is Spirited Away because it works incredibly with my complexion. Fave Insanely Saturated definitely Strawberry Shock although it looks completely different on me than you! On me its an almost muted pastel pinkish red 😱 the way it looks on you is more like how Velvet Morning looks on me (super bright and orangey)

i just got velvet sorcery in the mail today, i was waiting forever for it to come back since it was released last autumn. i didn’t notice it in the newsletters or got a notification, i just randomly checked to see what the new launch was & saw it in stock. ordered it instantly.
I love them all, but the insanely saturated formula is my fav ❤ I do loooove velvet fawn and dragon 🐉 too! 😃

Thanks for the swatches. I do feel a bit influenced by the lip liner at the end because it isn't a direct color match. So the swatch is changed a bit by that different color. I do appreciate the comment you made about one liner being dryer than the other, thanks so much for all you do.

I have the same problem with her presentation on the website, that's why I always search for CZcamsrs with a similar skin tone and natural lip colour. I bought Sunday matinee because I saw it on you and love it. Je ne sais quoi was on my list but when I saw your review I thought Sunday matinee just looked better. I'm waiting for a few things to come back in stock at Lisa's website so I can buy a velvet one; probably velvet muse. ❤️
I live in Belgium but recently went to London for 2 days and you bet Selfridges and the Lisa Eldridge counter was top of my list!!!
Picked up Cinnabar in both lipstick and lipliner and love them!!! My second favourite was Sorcery but that will have to be for next time...😉
I do agree with you that when I actually swatched the lipsticks in person they didn't quite look the same as on the website. I found a lot of the colours were similar/warmer-toned than I would have liked, so was happy I'd waited to finally try out her velvet formula until I could swatch them first! ☺

I have fawn and have had very Victoria in the past …. In my opinion yes they are similar but may pull warmer or cooler or pinker or not depending on your complexion and undertones because the undertones in Lisa’s lipstick colors are so personal to her lipsticks but it is similar in my opinion
My favourite go-to is Sunday Matinee. I was planning on also picking up Velvet Petal because I thought it would be lighter but based on your swatches they look almost identical! IRL do you see much of a difference between them or are they so similar that if you have one then you don't necessarily need the other? xx
Honestly if you have Sunday Matinee you defs don't need Petal as well. They are so so similar xx

Your poor lips. ❤ I love LE lips and shadows!! I own about 30 LE lip products (velvets, lucents, glosses, and liners) and I think 5 or 6 favorite shades lol. I have as many glosses as I do lipsticks because they give quite a lot of color and are nourishing, but not sticky at all. I waited for Le Mepris to come back in stock because there was so much love for it, but I have quite a bit of natural color to my lips and that shade does not flatter me. I think that shade is best for lighter toned lips or maybe if you have deeper toned lips and want to lighten them up. I have tried lipsticks from other brands in the LE price range, but Lisa’s offer the best color payoff while still being comfortable and nondrying. I haven’t kept any of them except LE. I agree with you that it is difficult to purchase her lip products online because the shades don’t always translate on my lip and skin tone the same as on her site. She could benefit from having more examples of not just skin tone on her models, but also lip tones. I volunteer as tribute.
