Every performance car out now is too expensive to justify buying. Scats, Shelby, Vett, Supra, etc. Buy older generations and modify it.

I agree 100% I'm completely done with newer model cars. The aftermarket sector has everything you could dream of installing on a vehicle. Hell you could purchase a 89 mustang and put a Tesla screen it if thats what your into!
Right on gentlemen! 100% makes no sense. Older cars are lighter and make better race cars plus look better. Drop a new school motor in and old car and you no longer need to make 1200 with a 4450lbs mopar to compete with 1000hp cars that are 3800lbs -4200lbs anymore which means reliability while being just as fast pushing 800hp if you weight 3000-3400lbs which can be done on pump gas 🤣 and would be cheaper than getting a factory car then having to modify. The mustang is encrypted and can’t be modified yet. Makes no sense to spend the money today.

You’re so right. This ain’t nothin new folks. Going back to the 2nd car I ever owned and first Mustang. My 93’ 5.0L which I had sitting in an H Pipe and Flomaster was lowered on them 16” factory chrome pony wheels and super dark Tint sounded amazing. My sister had the same car but a 91’ and I could always here her coming from a few blocks away if i was outside. And it’s not like our cars were chopping or anything. Flomasters and in my case an H pipe and that’s it. Any car can be loud. But Mustangs have always had that tone. Super tight tone that has a familiar refinement about it
Best thing about the mustang now is its staying with engine not going electric. I might buy a stang in future because of this
The remote revving is pretty cool 😎 I've never liked Mustangs until the S550 but this is nice a bit pricey but that's FORD saying we got the only V8. But Supra and Z both cost this same money fully loaded and that's probably what Ford was comparing it too.

Those Mopar's are heavy! I beat a Scat with my 22 coyote mustang convertible, and the only thing I did was to add an X-Pipe.

Coming from UK (now living in Dubai) you'll really, really struggle to get that much car for $65K in Europe!! BMW M2 Competition will hit you for £65K - around $83,000 US. I've got a 2013 BOSS302 and the mark-up over here in Dubai was about 20% 😞

Higher end like BMW? I own a Mopar and it has fantastic Napa leather seating, but I consider it limited luxury. I love my 300C, but the hardest thing for Mopar owners is to admit. The Hemi is gone and overtime will become memories while the Mustang is becoming a world Sports car and seen on IMSA and WEC race tracks over the world with the new DarkHorse GT3, GT4 racing at the Rolex 24 at Daytona and LeMans The new Mustang GTD street and track Supercar will be going after the lap record at the Nurburgring. Ford even is working on an NHRA Dark Horse X-Class replacement for the Cobra Jet. There's also a new GT500 Mustang whether it's a Shelby GT500 or a Dark Horse GT500 that should be available in model year 2026. The new 2024 Mustangs are going to be the Mustang we remember regarding all forms of racing. For now I'll keep my 300C, but before the Ice Mustang ends production. I will own either a Dark Horse or a new GT500.

It's a lot more than a dressed up GT. It used a lot of Shelby parts. You can get it with Tremec six speed manual instead of the shitty Chinese made Getrag MT-82 transmission.

Whatever Shelby parts it has doesn't justify the cost.

As far as the price… FACTS- The avg price of a new vehicle in America in 2018 pre pandemic was $38k. The avg price of a new vehicle in 2023 in America is more than $48k. These data were provided by Kelly Blue Book so you can see for yourself if you don’t believe me… The price of cars both new and pre owned have gone into the stratosphere. And that’s before you buy the loan from the bank. Then the cars get really expensive. The Dark Horse has a starting MSRP of $60k with Stangmode stating his was $65k so in the middle of the spectrum for the Dark Horse. I bought a brand new 21’ GT Premium 401a with PP1 in Aug of 21’. That car didn’t have the magride, B and O or Active Exhaust and it cost $53k. Add those features I just listed and you are at $56k. This was over 2 years ago. And that is not including any ADM. we are talking MSRP. It’s easy for someone to say $65k for a Mustang is too much but if they’d step back and actually look at the market right now… This car isn’t too much in fact, it’s a good value. Some folks like me have to have that manual as I’m not a drag racer so I don’t care if your A10 is faster. You’re right, it is. But mine is more fun with that 6 speed. Go find me a 2024 Model Year V8 with RWD, a manual and 500HP from the factory. Bring with you the price too please. I’ll be waiting right here. Ready. Go…You would be gone for a mighty long time as in 2024 there are only 2 vehicles that I’m aware of that have a V8 RWD manual option and a full manufacturer warranty and one of the two is super limited run through just Jan of 24’. The Camaro which obviously will be dead soon will be produced as a 24’ Model Year through the month of Jan and then it’s gone forever. The Camaro we know and love that is will be gone forever. The Mustang is the 2nd choice with those options and only choice if you want 500 HP. Of course the 24’ GT is pushing 480-486 HP so that easily thumps the Camaro at 455. In model year 2025 forward this car right here, and it’s GT brother are the only game on the planet. Those variables I mentioned were enough for me to not even consider the C8. What a car and what value, removing the greedy dealerships from the equation. What a car! 0-60 in 3 seconds for an starting MSRP under $60k in 2020. Deal of our lifetimes performace wise. But it’s not offered as a stick so I didn’t and won’t even consider it as long as the manual is still around as we know it with a V8 under hood. Is $65k a lot of money? Ya damn skippy it is. But every car, as a avg, has gone up by $10k since 18’. Now prices would have naturally gone up since 18’ just not so much so quickly. People complaining about price but simple fact is these and their competitors are the last true muscle cars. Prices will only climb from here going forward, so if your planning to buy a muscle car in the future you should really consider what will be left to buy. Soon all these cars will go the way of the Corvette price beyond reason and reach. Remember when your dad could afford a Corvette Z06 but now with dealer markups they are a rich man's toy.

Don't get me wrong I love my Stangs just like I love my Hemi cudas, Chargers, gtos, Superbees, Satellites, and especially my Challengers. But paying those insane markups is pushing further to invest into a Aston Martin or Porsche 911. I can't pay for 60 or 70k for a 500hp GT

Why would the handling pack not have better tires though, I never get that. That’s why there are so many mustang wrecks, when it broke loose those few times while rolling after the shifts if you didn’t know how to drive or someone inexperienced was behind the wheel they would have panicked and over corrected and went in the ditch.
Which points to driver error
Ford should have come out with a supercharged version. Doesn't take a lot to beat a Hellcat even with a small blower.

I never trusted a Mustang from crashing, they all fish tail to much. I like speed and tires hugging the ground always at high speed and that is found in Nissan, Camero, , Toyota, Supera, BMW, etc not Ford sorry nice looking car finally Ford making real body changes. Go champ.
It's mostly from their Tracloc differential. The ones with a Torsen differential are a lot easier to control. The other thing is the traction/stability control can turn itself back on if it's turned off and can throw you in a different direction and cause you to wreck. You have to pull a fuse to turn it completely off, but then your dashboard will light up like a Christmas tree and you will also lose the ABS. That's my main issuse with them even though I am a Mustang guy.
It's nice very nice, the interior is beautiful. But I would spend that money on something else, the market is killing everything 😢

@@jburnes41yes it can with a decent tire stock it will on the street. And if you want to compete with a hellcat then you must go to the drag strip or a roll race to 160. I have a hellcat many can’t drive them from a dig on the street but it can be done. the dark horse doesn’t have a chance stock for stock in either event. Hellcats come with shit tires factory so maybe with stock tires you would be correct.

GT350's Voodoo engine was not a great design. They use a ton of oil. The flat plane crank in them vibrated so much, it would vibrate the oil filter right off the engine. They had a tendency to blow up when driven hard on a track and were overly complicated and expensive to repair. The earlier ones had really bad overheating problems unless you bought them with the trac pack
