When I was 6 years old, I WATCHED HANK Perform Live right here in Westerly RI. 2 minute walk from were I Live now. Went with my grandfather and uncles. On my uncle tombstone, is a tribute to Hank. He played Hank music his whole life, just about every day.

Hank died the year I was born...My Dad loved Hank's songs...Now, my sons do too... I guess you could say it "runs in the family".

Country Music's tragic King . Sometimes I think Hank would of been happier playing to a circle of friends at the local bar then at the concert halls .
Fame sometimes isn't all it's cracked up to be and Hank's life is proof of that tragic result .

Watch the movie "Hank Williams - The Show He Never Gave"...it's one of the best movies about old Hank ever made.

Yes it is . The show he never gave was great. . I Saw The Light movie was awful. It was so boring and a bad tribute

100% correct. I will correct your comment, I believe it is the best movie about Hank not one of the best.
Beautifully taken from stage to movie and is a Canadian production.

I seen it I hated that movie I liked I walk the line better I remember watching it and I thought it was all ball and I didn't see baby Hank Jr in that movie which I thought was another disappointment

@@joeyzeigler4713 I can see why you "hated" Hank Williams - The Show He Never Gave" and preferred "I Walk The Line", which is an ok movie.
Though I don't know why you expected Hank jr. to be in a Johnny Cash movie.
I would recommend *Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison:*
      Get the real Johnny Cash.
I've seen a few Hank Sr Films like "I Saw The light" which was at best average. I did not like Tom Huddleston in the movie. It just was not right for me. I've seen him other movies and is a good actor.
Then there was the oldie "Your Cheatin Heart" with George Hamilton, still at best and "ok" movie.
The Show He Never Gave was not biographical, just a what if - what if Hank played one night in the "sticks".
There was humor, great singing and the ending was dark and haunting with "These men with Broken Hearts".

Absolutely! It captures the essence of Hank performing on the road. I remain haunted by the Red Foley song “Midnight.” Hank’s teenage driver said it was on the radio as the two of them were en route on the road to Hank’s next show the night he died in the back seat.

How many modern country fans listen to Hank?
It’s a shame, it’s all but dead save for the little groups of folks who have kept the good old stuff around.

MR Williams was born with spinal bifida,a very serious spinal deformity. They didn't have the medical knowlege back then too properly treat this condition. The only thing they knew was "pain killers'and Hank got hooked on them.Hank had a troubled life.he left the biggest footprint in country music history.Next witness.

Too bad Oak Hill, W.V. was too dumb to capitalize on this unique event.Could have made a huge music festival, museum etc... had several opportunities.Different people tried, some had collections of memorabilia, all was let slip through Oak Hills fingers....

Ha ha what a positively idiotic thing to say. OK smart guy, so what would you call this festival, museum, etc.? Maybe the Festival of the Place Where Hank Williams Rode Dead into Town?
Or The Museum of the Arriving Dead Hank Williams?
      Or Dead Hank Williams Day?
The idiocy of some people 😆
