And completely misrepresent the history. The house was in disrepair 70 years ago when Hank bought it. Hank kept his horses there but lived somewhere else. This was never Hank's home. Same with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. They lived in a different structure on the same property. I'm not saying the historical structure shouldn't be preserved, but it's been in disrepair for nearly a century. More fear mongering from Tucker. You need to hate the dumb libs! Hank Williams took country music to the mainstream. His songs crossed over from the country charts and charted in popular music. It is not unusual to hear his music in movies and commercials. He was not the father of country music. Many came before, Jimmy Rodgers comes to mind.
I completely agree. Graceland is a museum so why not this home? He was like the King of country music. It should be preserved and open to the public for all to learn and enjoy and remember.

My great grandfather was the biggest Hank Williams fan on the planet. While on their honeymoon, my great grandparents visited Hank‘s grave where they ran into his sister, who invited them back to her house for dinner. Afterwards, she gave my great-grandfather the suit Hank wore when he accept his first Grammy. It stayed in my family until he and mamaw both passed, at which point we sold it to cover funeral costs. Looking back, I wish someone would have just paid the funeral costs so we could have kept that little piece of history in our family.
Bottom line is, let’s not lose anymore of our heritage as a nation than we already have.

Just because he's from California, that doesn't make him a liberal. There are still plenty of conservatives who live in Cal, and I have yet to see a fund manager who is a liberal. This guy bought this property for the express purpose of turning a profit -- something that all conservatives generally approve of (you know, profits before people and before the common good). The fact that KR blamed this on liberals and the fact that you swallowed the BS of his wrongful conclusion shows that you are not thinking, you are merely reacting. I am a liberal. I happen to like Hank Williams' music, and I am very much in favor of keeping that house intact and making it something of a shrine. This is NOT a liberal/conservative issue. This is simply what capitalism does when it goes unchecked. And conservatives never seem to realize that until it affects them personally.

I remember seeing this home in one of Faith Hills albums and then she interviewed it afterwards loving the home her kids grew up there . I can’t imagine as a mother who had this house and the history she’d allow it . The home is featured in her greatest hits album 2007 . I give Kid Rock more props .
