I worked in the oil and gas industry for 35 years. Back in the 50 and 60’s there was a lot of pollution. Over the 70’s and 80’s it was cleaned up by the EPA. Huge difference and since then it has actually been over regulated. The U.S. has one of the largest oil and gas reserves in the world. Use it and produce it to fire power plants , heat homes, fire gas stoves and fuel for vehicles.FJB!

The Senate (democrat majority) named the bill National Security but it was really another funding bill for Ukraine and would accomplish nothing to deal with the deluge of illegal aliens invading the southern border, if anything it would make into law the allowance of between 5000 and 8500 to illegally enter every day and if you listened to the reports from Border patrol leaders from the Obama and Trump administrations you would know that 1000 people a day illegally entering is enough to overwhelm our system. The House (Republican majority) is saying it's dead on the floor because although it is named well, it is not a good deal, it only harms the American people. It puts us in overwhelming debt and it opens up our country to all manner of foolishness. I hope this helps to clarify things.

The quick answer is that Republicans do not want transparency. A case in point- Hunter Biden. Republicans were desperate to get his testimony for their "Witch Hunt (to use Trump's terminology) He was willing to testify publicly, Republicans refused to allow it. He had to pull a "Trump Stunt" to make his point. The longer answer is that the government would have to pay to have it done by outside contractors with the appropriate security clearances. It would be a nightmare to have all the media outlets to work independently, and again security issues. Your question is valid, many others should be asking the same questions. Another similar case in point-Trump's impeachments. Had the votes been anonymous Trump would likely have been booted out. It is very obvious that Republicans fear Trump. Anyone that sides against him is likely to get death threats directed at them as well as their families, friends, pets, etc. During the Jan6 insurrection, the news did a clip of someone standing in his yard, loaded shotgun in hand as idiotic Trump supporters walked up his street.
