Funky thank you so much for the word about finances as part of the Billy Porter story. Baby I am a banking executive who is 33 years old been a banking executive since I was 30years old. I live in my small 3 bedroom townhome that I own, that has my own personal pool, an outdoor fire pit, and outdoor entertainment area and it’s all I need. Being living in this home in a gated community since I was an analyst not making serious money. I have no kids no husband. But because I am this executive my African mother expects me to live in a large 5-6 bedroom luxurious home just spending up all my money.the thought of it makes me ill cause ain’t no way I’m spending all that money. Literally at the moment the way my bills set up they all amount to literally 25% of my take home monthly salary. And baby I be investing, travelling and having the time of my life, and still have coins just eating my money the way I want and not phased about when the next paycheck is coming. That feeling is Unmatched!! The peace of mind can’t be traded for everything. Thanks for that very sober reflection! I am more than ever convinced that I making the right choice !❤ yes one day I will move and get the luxury vehicle but I ain’t ready yet and that answer should be enough

Funky said when the makeup artist asked Jackie the look she wanted, she said “dead bish!”😂😂😂😂😂 Jackie had a lot of foundation matching issues back in the day.

I knew that as a pretty young girl got asked out and went on dates with a couple athletes I got out that clique real quick cause them men were rude AF - they definitely made it clear they weren't looking for relationships-Never got a chance to try me cause I got them together and went home quick- you gotta know how to keep yourself safe - I knew this in college and knew how to move on before it got unsafe we do need to teach awareness for girls as well so they don't have to live through that trauma

I'm loving that you're financially literate. It always surprises me how obvious keeping one's books is but obviously it isn't to most.
