- I modded my own childhood wii to make it run the Food Channel! And show you how to to order Domino's pizza in 3 easy steps. :) Step 1, mod the wii. Step 2, install the Demae wii shop food channel, and Step 3, order the pizza. This was a really cool wii homebrew experiment and it's so great to see Wiilink24 working on picking up the slack where nintendo keeps abandoning projects.

I used to work at Domino's when they introduced the sandwiches, and they're basically just sourdough + pizza toppings. The reason nobody wants to order them is that the pizza is better.
No, it’s not, the sandwhiches are the only edible thing from dominos, the pizza is the worst of all the fast food pizza chains. The sandwhiches are better. Hell you say sourdough like it’s a bad thing, better than that trash pizza dough

California here, hole in the wall pizza restaurant was $15 for a medium. Just checked because I wanted a personal size delivered, $30. Personal is now $15+. For 4 slices of bread and cheese.
i understand the DNS method is more convenient but if i'm adding apps to my sd card anyway i always choose to go with letterbomb...

This is super cool. I'm genuinely surprised this kind of thing didn't catch on. PC gamers have been able to order food on their gaming system for years (by virtue of it being...well a PC), and gaming and food just go well together.
Id love to see a modded wii showcase i love this console and it would be great to get that nostalgia hit

I'm no tech genius so take this with a grain of salt. My guess is that it submits the order similar to ordering on their website or a delivery app like Doordash. Prices do change between a delivery service connecting with a restaurant (Doordash, UberEats, Slice, Postmates, etc.) and ordering from the restaurant directly. Not sure if it has to do with app maintenence, especially when this service is discontinued.
But I'd be curious for the real answer too. Even if my guesses are wrong. :)

I once used an Internet service that, as I later found out, automatically sent a Fax to the pizza restaurant with the order (lol).

Edit: also to anyone new to this video. Have your SD card formatted to Fat32 beforehand or else installing BootMii won’t work.

I did this about 6 months ago and it was one of the coolest (and expensive) things ever. Luckily there's a mod for minecraft that allows you to run a virtual machine so I'm gonna try that next. Also yes please do an everything guide for the wii or wii u. The wii u might be more interesting because it has all the wii u homebrew and the wii homebrew.

You definitely should do a more expansive guide on Wii homebrewing! Even if it's a small section, I would like you to cover some of the channels WiiLink revives that us Americans didn't get, like Today & Tomorrow and Kirby TV Channel and Wii Room!

hey, love the video, and an everything guide for the Wii would be pretty cool, but have you tried hacking a Wii U? it is genuinely one of my favorite modded systems right now, it's a bit more involved than the Wii, but it is a very versatile console once you hack it

the WII was also the first console that was scarce at launch. It was well over a year before I finally found one... USED at gamestop and missing the top door that covered the controller ports. Now, that console scarcity is normal. You STILL can not find a ps5 in stock in a store. I only JUST started seeing XboxSeriesX in stock in stores a couple months ago.

The Wii food channel is my roman empire even tho ive never owned a wii (ive had a few ds's and a switch but the wii is just so nostagic)

The most impressive thing about this whole process is Domino's site actually functioning. The thing is a flaming dumpster fire that barely works and breaks all the time and both customers and employees complain about how awful it is but corporate doesn't do anything to improve it.
My Modded Wii got messed up for no reason about 6 months ago, but I found a backup NAND and now i wanna try this again 😭
Btw ived used the weather channel back in the day when wifi connection was alive was interesting factor and not only that I played alot of online on mario kart wii back in 2008 im still sad that nintendo shut the service off and yes I still have my day one wii too like the original wii still fun to play
