  • Here's a new video of me making whipped soap frosting using Momma Hamblin's youtube video 1 of 3 in her tutorial series. Sorry for my voice, I was getting over a sinus infection so I am a little raspy and I have some sniffles LOL.
    Check out Momma Hamblin's video for full directions on how to make this soap frosting: / @mommahamblin489
    Items Needed:
    2 Cups of White M&P Soap Base
    3/4 Cups of Foaming Bath Whip
    1/3 Cup of Clear Hand Soap
    I get most of these supplies from www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com
    My reusable piping bag was bought off of amazon.com
    My piping tip set is from www.nurturesoap.com - It's from the Royalty Soaps Piping Kit.
    Note: I had issues with my tip getting clogged but it was my fault. I didn't screw it closed right enough so there was some air getting in. It's my favorite piping kit so far.
    I also get ALL of my Vegan Micas from Nurture Soap. I love them. www.nuturesoap.com
    I get my fragrance oils from Candle Science. They work amazingly in soaps. www.candlescience.com
    I do not get paid from any of the above mentioned companies.
    My Mini Unicorn Soaps are only available via custom order at this time due to high demand. If you want to place an order please use the custom order option on Etsy.

    Thank you for sharing! Your soaps are so cute!!! 💙💙💙 Im working on getting together a candy cane cake soap loaf made for christmas presents... Im having a hard time 😂 oh! And with the tip, i saw royalty soaps put a little oil (and mica) in her bag, mix it up, and then fill with her piping. Looked like it didnt get clogged.

      Stacy Stroker thanks so much. I'd love to see your candy cane soap so share a pic when you're done. I'm going to start my Valentines day cold process soaps soon so I'll video that. My tip wasn't tightened all the way so a little air was getting in which caused the clogging. I love the Royalty Soaps Piping set though. It's perfection.

    Awesome! I love how glossy it looks. Does it stay that glossy once it's dry? Thank you for posting the video and showing us all how you do yours! I have not done any piping on soap as of yet, but I've been decorating cakes for years. Does this recipe, as is, hold up to adding colorant? I'm thinking of trying this around the little toy unicorns (purchased at my local soap supply store) with some glitter to resemble a cloud with translucent blue (sky) and matte green on bottom of bar (grass). I'm new at soaping. I've done very well at cake decorating and became interested in trying my luck with soap as well. I'm sticking to doing just wedding cakes now and having fun with my new soaping hobby! Thanks again! :-)

      sheba12106 Hey! Yes, it stays looking like this even after its fullyr dried and packaged. It even has that pretty shine when you add colorant. I use Mica's so that's the only colorany type I have tested. It works perfectly. Your idea for soap sounds so unique. Definitely share a pic if you make it. I'd love to see how it comes out. It so fun seeing what everyone makes. I've been doing more cold process soaps lately. It gives me more swirling options and frosting them is so much easier.

    • @BeforeBedShop
      @BeforeBedShop  Před 6 lety +3

      SofiYah LLC - Yes, it absolutely can. Mix 1 minute at a time to check the consistency. So mix for a minute then stir and repeat until it gets to the fluffy consistency you like.

    is a pretty soft-looking whip.. however, seems too soft to build on. looks like it would fall. Have you tried it on taller thicker piping with this recipe?

    • @BeforeBedShop
      @BeforeBedShop  Před 4 lety +3

      Yes. I've done a high top soap with this recipe. It stands beautifully and remember you can whip longer if you want it a little stiffer. I happen to prefer the fluffy soft cloud look and when it dries its nice and hard without losing that soft look that I enjoy for my soap.

    • @MommaBearsCorner
      @MommaBearsCorner Před 4 lety

      @@BeforeBedShop Looks so pretty. i think most the time is not soft, but icing gets too hard too fast. that is more of an issue than too soft. :)

    • @BeforeBedShop
      @BeforeBedShop  Před 5 lety +3

      It depends. You may have stopped whipping a little to early. A lot of people stop a minute or so before they should. It also could be the temperature and/or humidity in your soaping area.

    So after trying my suggestion, I see you like it! What would you describe the consistency when it is all dried and ready for packaging?

    • @BeforeBedShop
      @BeforeBedShop  Před 6 lety +3

      Laurie Lindahl - yes. It worked great. Once it's all dried it has this really pretty soft, fluffy look to it but to the touch it's like a stall marshmallow (if that makes sense). The frosting is more sensitive to heat though so when heat sealing and storing you have to be careful.

    • @BeforeBedShop

      Christian Everett I don't wear gloves for frosting because I don't touch the soap except for the embeds which I spray with 91% Isopropyl. (I spray my hands as well) My annoying cough is from severe allergies. I have a face mask on which I'm sure you can tell by the sound. :)
