This is a video of me painting my bath bombs using mica colorants and 91% rubbing alcohol. I've tried with other percentages of rubbing alcohol but 91% is my favorite. It dries almost instantly on the bath bomb so you can wrap them as soon as you finish painting them. Never tried with glycerin. Must try your recipe tfs !!
Tutorial to whip soap doesn't show the actual soap whipping 😅
Thank you for sharing
Will the frosting stay creamy or will it firm up?
What other ingredient can you use other than liquid glycerins?
You can use any clear liquid soap.
This worked so well! Thank you so much!!
Is that melt and pour soap you are putting the frosting on 🥰
Do you have a video on the GOT soap ?
Fluffy goodness♡
LOVE the video! Can smell the soaps through the screen! So happy you're posting again!
Thanks so much!!!
Can I use vegetable glycerin in place of just liquid glycerin? I also have Castile soap, would that work?
Yes you can use liquid glycerin. It works perfectly. I'm not sure about castile soap since I've never tried this as a recipe replacement. If you're going to try it maybe cut the recipe in half just in case it doesn't work the way you want it.
@@BeforeBedShop Thank you! I wasn’t sure if vegetable glycerin was the same as straight glycerin
@@BeforeBedShop Also, with a big loaf do you frost the whole loaf first and then cut it? Or do you cut the loaf first and then frost?
@@Randomdog81 I frost the entire loaf. Spritz it with rubbing alcohol when your done. You can add embeds, glitter or drizzle. Let it sit over night then cut it the next day.
@@Randomdog81 the liquid glycerin will require more whipping time. You can whip on a higher speed for the first minute or so but then lower the speed to ensure you get that fluffy, pipable texture
Thank you 💞
thanks for the video! can I ask what's holding your bath bombs...
Those are clear plastic bath bomb molds. I don't use them as molds. I just use them to hold the bath bombs while I paint them or while they rest on the rack until I label and seal them. They keep the bottom from getting flat and make it really easy to hold while painting.
@@BeforeBedShop ty!!! Game changer lol why havent I thought of that😄
@@mehangunter9243 it makes everything so much easier.
Did you score or spray alcohol to make it stick ?
I spray/spritz
After you piped it in and it hardened how did u get embeds to stick? Ty
Kool beans thank you
Could use the liquid castile soap in place of glycerin?
I've never tried it but it's worth a try. Let me know how it turns out.
This is awesome! I tried it today and it came out fantastic (and easy)! Thank you so much for this tutorial!🥰
Awesome. I'm so glad you like it
Hi! Thank you for the tutorial. How long does it take to harden fully for packaging? Thanks
I typically wrap them the next day so about 24 hours.
@@BeforeBedShop Thanks so much!

They are beautiful.
No, You are beautiful!! ;)
Thank you so much!! I was looking for a way to make the ✨Pretty foam✨ & now I know how. I’m so happy thank you so much, this video was very helpful 💕
Oh I'm so glad it helped.
I know this is older but would this be possible to make a cupcake with this frosting? Or would it be too soft?
It's perfect for frosting cupcake soaps.
@@BeforeBedShop Thank you! I've been searching a good melt and pour soap frosting as I'm a little too scared to be working with lye. I'll be trying this out tomorrow!
Is the melt and pour measured melted?
Measure it before you melt it.
Hi there! Can you use liquid Castille soap instead of clear handwash? x
What liquid soap can I use
Wow! So cool! How on earth did you make the little unicorn horns?!? Way too adorable xx
I have a mold for them. I got it from an etsy seller years ago. I think Amazon has some now. Search silicone molds on there. They have some amazing ones. The 3d ones are my fav.
Thank you so so much for this video! I love how it shows how easy it is for outside factors to influence the soap making process(heat). These are so cute! I thought cold would make it set quicker. I make soaps for friends and family. Would you be kind enough to tell me where you got those adorable boxes? I live in Scotland, Britain =). Because of you and your easy to follow instructions I will now be able to do whipped soap. Am so excited!!!!!!! Happy Easter and have a great day xxx
Thanks for your sweet comment. Which boxes? I get my mini boxes for soap samples from papermart.com. I always check their sale section and grab whichever ones are on sale.
Pretty
Awesome video! Ty! 💖
I know I am late I hope you see this but I did this and the whip fell off after using the soap I let it cure for a week but the frost part fell off
If you are putting it on soap that was made previous you should definitely put slits in the area you are piping on. Slide a knife over the area in criss cross motions the spritz it with rubbing alcoho right before you pipe the frosting on top l. It helps hold the frosting in placem
@@BeforeBedShop ok so what I understood was to make criss cross design on top of the whole soap and then spray alcohol and then put the whipped frosting ? Thank you for replying I am getting into soaps at the moment
@@damien8286 Yes. It helps the frosted soap adhere to the soap bar/ loaf. This doesn't need to be done if you are making cold process soaps but its a great option for melt and pour. soaps
Loved watching, thnx for sharing 💕
Great Video! Gonna make some for my Christmas soap. Can I use Crafters Choice liquid soap instead of Soft Soap?
Any liquid soap will work. Clear is best.
Thank you very much!💜 I always want to know how to make it! 💜👍🏼
Thank you for this video, Can i get your recipe please, im having trouble with hardening and tried a fair few recipes
This was greatv
Fab, I make mine white with a splash of colour x
You didn’t show the actual process, though. You skipped it. 👌🏻
The only part not shown is the whipping because it was so loud. This video is from over 2 years ago which was before I knew how to edit the sound out lol.
Got it. Thank you for replying :)
Can I add few spoon of any light oil say graoeseed oil to avoid it getting harder sooner
I've never tried so I can't say for sure.
Does it work with potash soap + MP soap?
If i want the mixture to be a bit stiffer, how long should i whip it? Wouldnt it get hard and uneasy to be used as frosting?
I can't give you an exact whipping time. I suggest checking it every 30 seconds until it's at the consistency you like. Time varies based on several factors such as the tools you are using, temp of the mixture, temp in the room etc.
@@BeforeBedShop thanks a lot💓💓
@@dinaani6500 anytime 😊
Hey everyone, I tried this and it instantly gets hard hard before I can even scoop it out of the bowl. Anyone else experience this?
is a pretty soft-looking whip.. however, seems too soft to build on. looks like it would fall. Have you tried it on taller thicker piping with this recipe?
Yes. I've done a high top soap with this recipe. It stands beautifully and remember you can whip longer if you want it a little stiffer. I happen to prefer the fluffy soft cloud look and when it dries its nice and hard without losing that soft look that I enjoy for my soap.
@@BeforeBedShop Looks so pretty. i think most the time is not soft, but icing gets too hard too fast. that is more of an issue than too soft. :)
too wet at first, got hard fast. but looks pretty! :) hey, i have a good recipe for frosted truffles and made big batch and the frosting did the same thing, usually does not. so it can happen. It still is a very pretty fluffy frosting which is what we all strive for.
I'm very new to the soap making community, does vegetable liquid glycerin work too?
Yes, it does
@@BeforeBedShop thank you so much!! :)
@@gamerbomb3968 You're welcome. Feel free to reach out if you need help with anything.
@@BeforeBedShop I will! Eventually I'm going to try out some cold processed soap! I'm so excited but in the meantime I'll be doing the melt and pour :)
@@gamerbomb3968 melt and pour is a great but once you cross over to cold process you are going to love it. The possibilities are endless.
I am a new subbie and have not made soap before. What is the Isopropel used for? How fid you make the berries? Crafty hugs from Carmen, Germany
Hi. Thanks for subscribing. Isopropyl is used to help ensure the embeds stay put and it disinfects anything that's touched. I make the embeds using melt and pour soap and silicone molds.
@@BeforeBedShop Dankeschön ❤️
You did just what I was thinking. Thanks for the lesson. Was wondering if you don't like colors...maybe test on paper towel first?? You can go darker but hard to go lighter with mika colors.Love your channel.😘
Thanks Gwen. I was trying to not waste the red and yellow I used for my HP bombs lol. It worked out I guess.
Does it dry hard like the soap or stay soft?
Yes. It dries hard so you can wrap it or heat seal it pretty quickly.
Thank you so much♡
Can u use Shea butter and goat milk soap base?
Yes, you can use any soap base you'd like just know that mixing time will vary.
Tho information is good, they say, well no, yeah, no.. decide your amounts needed. I teach ceramics. Id mess ppl up
