- Disney Channel's iconic show Phineas and Ferb has come a long way, but things haven't always been like you remember. There's a part of this franchise that existed long ago, one that not as many people have seen. It's time to dive in to what Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh created!

Any footage used is from various TV shows, movies, and games to illustrate my personal thoughts on these pieces of media. Dr. Doofensmirtz last name was originally going to be Dr. Meddlesmirtz but this was changed to Doofensmirtz for the reason it was changed is because it means something offensive in german or something

See everyone is saying how different that Phineas is from the final product, but the interaction between him and Isabella in the pitch is almost exactly how it occurs in the eventual episode. Only with Phineas saying, “Some might say,” instead of, “Can I do something for you?.” Phineas in the pilot is still quite snarky

I honestly like the idea on the Phineas we got today, always a little naive and on a light headed mood.
Nah bruh, cynical characters are way better then light hearted ones. I wish they stuck with this kind of Phineas.

It's slightly corrupted
It's interesting to how the show progressed both throughout and after the first few episodes. The first episode seemed to be more like the storyboard stylistically, and it took a few episodes for some if those things to change. For example, the first few episodes include sassy Phineas, Perry only have one secret passageway (a little opening on the side of the house), Doofenshmirtz starting every encounter with Perry saying something along the lines of "Perry the Platypus, how unexpected
And by unexpected I mean completely expected! [Presses button for trap]". In the first episode, Doof's machine wasn't even called an inator. It's so cool to see how the show built and built and changed during the first season as a whole. I'm so glad, it only got better and better as they made changes and figured out more of their style.
Phineas and Ferb is almost like Family Guy because both of them do whatever it takes to make the audiences happy and laugh alot
The only difference is that one is for everyone to watch and the other mostly for adults.

KP I love you don't feel insulted- Trust me, when I mean etc, I mean Proud Family, Chip n Dale, TailSpin all of that, but It only counts if it's animated in this case. I edited my comment, I meant to use including Kim Possible, not besides, didn't mean to say that I love that show

Well, he was hurt by Perry when he said I don't want your pamphlet, and in the special "summer belongs to you" he had to yell at candace so he and ferb won't have to say that summer isnt what you make it or spend the rest of the summer doing anything cool. So, if he didnt say "GET ON THE TRIKE!" We wouldnt see everything they make.

I agree with you, I loved that show, especially the forest 10 episodes. But they did go on a few hiatus's (there is one right now), and other shows may have pushed it aside, that's maybe why it's underrated in my opinion. I really thought it'd get more love cause it's from the creators of P&F like of course, but it didn't pull out strangely...
That happens with many 2nd project of creators, Regular show with close enough, adventure time with the midnight gospel, its sad but it happens

Whenever Phineas got angry, it made my blood boil and I really wanted to Candace to hit Phineas on the back of the head and say "That's for yelling at me to get on the trike!"

He’s always happy and positive. Can’t blame him for getting angry once. Plus, I don’t remember the movie that well, but didn’t she have to get on the tricycle to save something important? I think that’s a pretty valid reason to yell.

Well there are still times where phineas kinda acted like how he is here in the actual show best example would be the rollercoaster episode which was basically just this but 2×shorter and without color and animation.
Images of it were seen on the Season 1 theme song.
To be fair, Phineas was somewhat savage in the pilot, saying stuff like "Should've charged more" when the rollercoaster is crashing and "You all signed the waivers, right?" at the beginning of the rollercoaster scene.

In my viewpoint, the episode quantum boogaloo should have contained a deeper explanation of doofensmirtz ruling Danville after future Candace busted hee brothers. For instance, Phineas and Ferb might have befriended and helped doofensmirtz only for vengeance against her sister who betrayed them.

Even tho it premiered in 2007/8 I feel like season 1 P&F has an early 2000s or even 90s tone/atmosphere especially Rollercoaster(I mean the final version not just the pitch)

Well in rollercoaster even in the final episode phineas was a little bit snarky but it was toned down a little from the story boards

I wish he'd gradually go from a sassy character to a naive innocent guy. It'll show the best of both worlds. Also, not changing his personality in the pilot does make his character development/change seem sudden
