In today's episode of "A Brief History" we take a look at how animation veterans Dan Povenmire & Jeff "Swampy" Marsh made their cartoon dreams a reality after more than a decade!

Uggg, I can't express how much I loved this show and still do! One of my favourite memories from primary school was our entire class driving back from a school event (I don't remember what it was) in a bus. I and my best friend started singing the theme song and by the end - the ENTIRE class was yelling "MOM, PHINEAS AND FERB ARE MAKING A TITLE SEQUENCE!". It was incredible.

Well, Both Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network Refused Phineas and Ferb before Phineas and Ferb go to Disney Channel.

These 3 cartoons above could have become Nicktoons, But Nickelodeon have refused, so these 3 went to Cartoon Network.

This is the first original animated Disney Channel cartoon and almost become a Nicktoon too, but Nickelodeon have refused, so The Proud Family went on Disney Channel.

This show was legit my entire childhood, and my life actually kind of turned into Phineas and Ferb (I have two little brothers who are always up to something and when I try to "bust" them, they never get in trouble)

Oh but did the show pay off. There is the one Elementary School memory that I will always have because of how awesome it was. It was in 4th grade right after we took the standardized test that we take at the end of the year. And the teacher decided since we had to wait for like an hour for the whole school to finish that you would turn on the TV. So she was flipping through channels until she came across Disney Channel. And it just so happened to be playing Phineas and Ferb and the entire class yelled for her to stop so that way they can watch it. Then the theme song played. And the entire class even the ones that don't talk at all started to sing the theme song including myself. I don't remember which episode it was but the sheer fact that the entire class participated in something blew my mind. Even the stuck-up stingy ones couldn't help but sing along to the catchy theme song.
And then the whole bus clapped.

Well, it was started back in 2008. "Love at first sight" my friend. Now the show had repetitive plots and nothing ever happened so the creators ended it. It's not a cancellation. It was the creator's decision. So the show ended in 2015. Alonf with Gravity Falls in 2016. Now we have Duck Tales reboot.

Watched the show for the first time ... I wanna say 3 years ago? My daughter was 2 and we were starving for less brain dead things to watch... I remember playing the Disney Infinite game and heard the song “Gitche Gitche Goo” in the background and liked it enough to seek out what it was.
My life has never been the same.
It’s a family staple now, we make references to it as a family in joke all the time, and certain favourite songs from the show are on the car playlist.
My wife and I are in our early 30’s, and we laughed so hard at this show, especially just everything surrounding Doof.
It’s a good time.
Sadly I’m not sure if I actually like Milo Murphy’s law much. I find the characters grate against me, the humour too forced, and the female co-lead’s voice sticks out to me as being especially poorly done :/

Dan and Jeff are two of my biggest inspirations for animation! They just seemed like they had so much fun making the show and it REALLY showed through Phineas and Ferb. I definitely love Milo Murphy’s Law as well. As soon as they announced it, I was completely on board for watching it

As a fan of phineas and ferb, finding out about milo Murphy’s law was like a dream come true... even better was the literal fact that nearly every milo Murphy episode had a phineas and ferb Easter egg (Sunny side up had two) or was built to parody it (Lard land and Cheesetopia). Either way, it was really cool just altogether.

so originally it was supposed to be a 90's show,well better late than never huh? they did extremely well with the show
Fun fact: My older sister and I were a part of KidzEyes back in the day, and we were sent this blank disk with three or four episodes of season 1 on it to test out the show. I can't remember exactly when this was, I was like 5 or 6 at the time, but the one episode I specifically remember being on there was 'Are You My Mummy?'. I asked my mom about it the other day and she said we never actually sent back the disk, so I'll dig around for it and see what other episodes were on there. To this day I'm still a TeenzEyes member, but that was the only show I ever tested and it was the coolest thing ever to see it pop up on Disney a while later.

and now, nearly 31 years after its conception, 19 years after povenmire was asked to make a pilot, 16 years after the original premiere, 9 years after the shows ending, and 6 years after the release of this video, the show is still going VERY strong with a very active fanbase and MANY CZcams videos about it. there is absolutely no other show just like this one. it is very, very beautiful.

god, this show was my *entire* childhood. It was the only thing I ever watched with my little sister when we were growing up and it absolutely broke our hearts to see it end. I mean, these are characters that I feel like I know personally and that's something you don't really get with a lot of other Disney shows. Great video!

My family is a testament that Phineas and Ferb is for all ages. My parents bought us a DVD with a few episodes on it, and when we would watch it they would join in sometimes because it was good, family-friendly fun that they enjoyed. I still like to watch the episodes from time to time because it’s so much better than most shows nowadays. Mr. Povenmire and Mr. Marsh, thanks for making a cartoon that was a big part of my childhood and brought my family together for some good fun. You certainly touched a lot of lives with this great cartoon.

I used to watch so much of phineas and Ferb. So when I noticed it wss on Netflix I got straight back on it and re-watched all of the episodes and loved it AGAIN. Then it got removed from Netflix so that sucks. But my main question is how is it getting a lot more popular out of nowhere, like why now, in 2018? In ended in like 2014. Some one please answer lol.
Idk, but at least it's still getting recognition. Maybe it's because of the hype surrounding the upcoming crossover with Milo Murphy's Law.

Phineas And Ferb 10/10 worlds best tv show. this show brings back so many mereios i have seen ever single ep of Phineas And Ferb. but the fact that Phineas And Ferb is not making new eps makes me sad. and is the same thing with graviy falls. and i love milos law
