I don't see why she won't just let her shave. It's embarrassing for her and by not letting her shave her mother is just forcing her to go through awkward conversations about it while she's out in public.
Even though I'm a guy, I wasn't allowed to shave my face at 16 years old. My Mom said it would just cause the hair to grow back thicker each time and this adaptation of your Mom is exactly how strict my Mother was as well. I got a job just to get some freedom from her rules about no dating, no going out with friends, hence, I had no social life as a teenager!!!
There was a time about 25 years ago when my oldest son passed me in the kitchen. I noticed something different about his face. I said, “Son, come here.” And I took a closer look. “Have you been shaving?” I asked. He said yes. I asked which razor he’d been using and he told me that he’d been using the pink one in the shower. After he was done throwing up everything he’d ever eaten, we went to the store and bought him his own shaving supplies! All of our young people, should have access to basic hygiene needs. As teenagers and sometimes even pre-teens, this includes shaving materials and someone to teach them how to properly use them.
My mom didn’t want me to shave but allowed me to at 11 because I wanted to try it. She had me only shaving my legs for some time and eventually let me shave my armpits. I never shaved all the time probably only like every 3 weeks and even now I don’t shave all the time. Personally I like the feeling of being shaved, it’s just a preference. Don’t feel pressured into shaving if you don’t think your ready. It’s nit for everyone and there are plenty of people who don’t want to shave and plenty who do. It’s up to you.
I know this isn’t real but what kind of mom doesn’t let her TEENAGE DAUGHTER shave her legs, like um excuse you it doesn’t matter if you’re “not ready for this” your DAUGHTER clearly is ready so you might as well teach her to do it the right way or she’s gonna get hurt. Edit: To answer a comment I can no longer find, I meant I know the video isn’t a real mom and daughter. I’m well aware that this happens to a lot of people.
My parents noticed I shaved my legs and I got yelled at "I'm too young"(11 ish). 2 weeks later they found out my aunt gave her 2 daughters (my younger cousins) a "girls day" and bought them cute shaving kits and taught them how to shave their legs while they sat at the edge of their tub. My little heart was so sad wishing I had that.
I believe I started shaving my legs and underarms when I was 14. I only do that once a week, I rinse my razor when I’m done, I usually put soothing moisturizing gel on afterwards because then my skin will be irritated if I don’t put lotion on
I will never understand when parents won’t let their children shave. I was shaving my underarms at 10 and legs at 12 any younger than that I understand not letting them. Obviously you wouldn’t let an 7 year old shave but if your child has very visible hair let them shave! I also don’t understand parents who won’t let their children shave above the knee like wtf is that doing. Is it supposed to stop them from wearing shorts above the knee or something? Make it make sense I know this video is fake but there are a ton of parents that are actually like this. These are just my opinions
Of what I can remember, my mom started letting me shave at 10, which was a decent age for me because I would (and still do) grow hair pretty quickly, and I gained a lot of confidence so I am happy with her decision. :)
girl talk from ur internet big sister I started waxing at 10, for my birthday since I was rlly insecure about my under arm hair, and I waxed a few times after that until I began crying. then I started shaving my underarms and continued doing that. I’d started shaving my legs, but it looked rlly patchy and weird. if I were wearing sleeveless and forgot to shave, I’d legit be late to school just so I could shave. but now, I don’t rlly obsess about it, except when someone points about it. Body hair is natural. How come it’s attractive on men but “dirty” and “unfeminine” on women. love urself
Dang I feel bad for her one time when I was 8 I asked my mom to shave and she said “sure” and let me pick out which one I wanted! This strict mom is just trying to get her into awkward situations!
Whaaa, for most its just because they think their children will have hair that growns faster, thicker and in more quantity (i know it did for me). The thing is, I preferes the hair growing more and thicker than the embarassment I got when I didnt shave.
If you want to shave tell her why shaving is good tell her why u want to also tell her that waiting till im 18+ still wont change the fax I will still cut myself while doing it and u do it why cant i do it
This reminds me of my mom I am 12 years old and have hair on my legs and I’m really insecure about it and every time I ask my mom if I can shave she says no u don’t need it your to young stop trying to grow to fast and when I tell her it’s my body and I’m ready she says it’s her choice to make “big” decisions on my body until I’m 18 that it doesn’t matter about my choice. Edit 1: Hi it’s been a while just wanted to update you guys if you even care so she made me use that weird hair removal called nair and I complained how bad it burned and she finally said I Can shave after 4 month of using hair removal so now I can shave and thank you guys for the advise.
use depilatory cream to start its way easier and there’s nothing bad that can happen tbh. then later begin shaving that’s how i convinced my mom. i was 11 when i started.
As someone who was in your shoes until 17. I would stand up. We don't teach young ladies how to set body boundaries. Nor how to have proper hygiene routines. Shave gurl if I feel u need too but at 31 I will say when ur older were not too strict on if yah missed a day or sometimes we just shave to the knee! As advice so don't feel like u have too always have a clean shave!!! Some nationalities take pride in not shaving! Heck I've probably had arm hair longer than I would like to say I let it grow but stuff happens in life and shaving ain't as crucial as it seems at a young age! Just do what yah feel is rite and please be safe! Make sure yah read or watch videos on how too first! Ask aunts or have friends help! Don't feel embarrassed about hair girly!!! It's just hair it doesn't make yah gross!!! I forget my eye brows need done alllllll the time! I look in a mirror all the time and just don't see them till it's beyond repair lol I pluck tho! Yah think things r a way bigger ordeal when ur younger but their not that important to the ones who have done it up teen plus years lol I'd say don't let someone tell yah what to do with your body is far more important than shaving lol stand ur ground. Make healthy boundaries early on. I'd say 10 and up is a deff should have access to shaving and under 10 if there's like an excessive hair growth that's a little more than usual and bullying is an issue lol kids r growing up faster than usual these days on top of it. Maybe in 5th grade sex Ed they should show how to shave wax lotion... i could of used it instead of murdering my legs with a razor lol My mom's name is Karen... If that sums up my childhood.....
I started shaving at age 9, my mom actually was the one that taught me to and recommended it! I feel really bad for other people that arent allowed to shave though! Like, its their body, and its not gonna change anything about them, so why cant they? I remember people at my old school would get bullied if someone literally saw 1 strand of hair anywhere else but their head. It was so annoying, I stood up for alot of the people and thats how i met alot of my friends! My new school is really supportive and nobody cares if u dont shave which im so glad about! Honestly, body hair isnt anything to be ashamed of, everyone gets it, if u get bullied for having alot of body hair then they are literally wasting their time bullying someone for a normal thing, so dont worry about it and ignore them! Anyhow, body hair is completely apart of being human, and you shouldnt be afraid to let your body hair grow out every once in awhile!
My mom was super easy She said I could shave anytime, whenever I felt comfy. The first time I did it with her She was so nice and let’s me do it however I want ! And I was 11
My mom did the same thing. I shaved and she found out. In church and had the whole church ladies there telling her she's stupid. I got kicked out and sent to live with others until people found out and found out why then she made me come back home. This was my childhood. In and out for dumb crap. Using tampons took my virginity. Had to live with aunt over that.
I would always be embarrassed to ask my mom to get me shaving products, bras, etc. She ended up taking me to the store wothout me asking and helped me get all the hygiene products I needed. No parent should restrict their child from these types of things
I didn't had this problem, I have super thin and blonde hair. At 12 years old I first started having hair in the armpit and my mom was the one who actually bought it without me asking. So I'm really grateful of that 💗
Fun fact: women originally didn’t shave their legs, it was a tactic used by razor companies when they weren’t selling much and it only appealed to men, thus creating a beauty standard, but remember don’t shave unless you want to, never let anyone make you shave/ not shave
I'm allowed to shave my legs but not my arm hair, and of course the reason is "Are you trying to show off to boys?" I'm honestly embarrassed because my arm hairs are really thick, I only shave for myself not to impress people. And besides, I'm lesbian 🤣
my mom is always like "Shaving is the worst thing you can do to your skin" so she said I have to wax (im 13) if i really wanted to. it hurts a lot, and my hair grows back super quickly, so now I just ALWAYS wear long pants
@@thewitchstarot6975 I've shaved secretly and after doing it twice when my leg hair grew back it was noticeably thicker than before I shaved. So I stopped and a few months later my mum let me wax. What I mean to say was it will still grow back thicker when your waxing but not as bad as shaving.
i started shaving legs when i was 10 and i regret i hadn't start it earlier.. my leg hair used to be one of the biggest insecurites and just shaving it would save me from all this self hate and embarassement. now i dont care about body hair and im cofortable with having them but back then it was horrible
I have always asked my mom to shave and she just kept giving me stupid reasons on why I shouldn’t. And almost every time we go somewhere to take pictures or sum, SOMEONE goes over to my mom and whispers something, POINTS to my legs, and my mom just nods. It’s really embarrassing and makes me feel extremely bad.
I have very thick and dark body hair that grows really fast and i didn’t start shaving until i was almost 14. I had no idea how to shave so i turned to my mom for guidance, but every time i brought it up she pretty much ignored me, but then she would always question me on why i always wore pants when it was outside. my dad _tried_ to help by giving me one of the electric razors he used to shave his face, but it didn’t work at all. Anyways i got fed up and decided to grab a razor and wing it while my parents weren’t home. I cut myself a lot, but it was totally worth it. I wore shorts for the first time in like, forever, and my mom immediately noticed and got emotional…. I just glared at her.
I hated my leg hair and was to afraid to ask and my mom noticed so one day we walked inside of Walmart and she took me to the beauty section to pick out some razors and then to ulta to get my fav body butter scrubs and foam for shaving she even bought me an eletric one… made me sooo happy and confident * that was in fifth grade btw
i can relate im not allowed to shave my legs its so hard. like i cant go swimming or anything without feeling bad. and im in my teens and im not allowed to shave them
I remember girls being made fun of for having hair on arms or legs in highschool. One girl was refered to as a cat because her arm hair. Kids are just brutal
My mom is super strict about this stuff. Im a teenager, and she doesn't let me use a razor, only an electric one which doesn't do anything because it all starts growing back the next day and it rlly never gets all the hair off when i do shave (i'm not allowed to shave past mid thigh and im not allowed to shave my stomach area or my back), can't do my eyebrows (which makes me super insecure because all the girls have theirs done), can't wax/shave down there or under my armpits (which makes me smell bad all the time irs so annoying!!) unless we're going to the water park/pool, even then i'm not allowed to wear bikini bottoms, I have to wear shorts, and they are so uncomfortable. I wish I had some people in this comment section's mom. 😕
I have a mom like this, she doesn’t allow me to shave my legs and I am 13 I asked her about it but she says that she wants me to use the hair removal cream and my body hasn’t matured yet for it, but I really just want to use a shaving stick so I understand what she is going through.
@@are_lo_1884 I’ve seen for a lot of hair removal creams that you’re not supposed to leave it on for more than 10 minutes because it will start to hurt, but otherwise it should be painless. If you have sensitive skin it might cause irritation.
@@are_lo_1884 it can leave behind Burns and bumps. The ingrown hairs are the worst because they can get infected and they are painful. And they can happen even when you exfoliate and have special creams and gels and lotions to prevent all this. One thing we do not teach young women is that it is OKAY not to shave or remove your body hair there are lots of women who don't they are just shamed for it. I have found that men do not care and love you regardless in my personal experience. My skin is so sensitive that I cannot remove the hair from my private parts even if I wanted to my skin freaks out it's so painful
I started shaving when I was 11. I got an electric razor first so that I wouldn't cut myself lol. Then like 4 months later I started using normal razors and I shave every 3 days now because I hate the slightest prickle lol
i started shaving at 13 (i don’t do it regularly cause i rarely leave the house) and my mom was the one who actually encouraged me because i had been too scared.
Saaaaaame. I’ll my friends shaved their legs(I have no idea why they started at 9) so I took my moms razor and started shaving. And a few days later I decided to try to shave around my eyebrows( Do NOT try with a big razor, use the small ones made for faces), and I shaved off some of my eyebrow😬 (it grew back in a few weeks). And my mom obviously noticed, and she asked what happened and I told her everything (she was so nice about). Then she told me when I hit puberty I could start shaving. About 6 months later I hit puberty (right before I turned 10). And then I started shaving. I’m 12 now and have never told anybody about it an I don’t plan on it 😝
I’ve been shaving since I was 9. I grow really thick and dark hair all over my body. Even my abdomen. I was so insecure about it and I secretly used my moms razor. She found out but wasn’t mad and bought me my own. Ever since then I have been way more confident about my body hair and I go out without shaving. I’m not really insecure about it anymore. Ik these are fake but being able to shave CORRECTLY AND SAFELY, can give someone so much confidence in themselves it’s crazy.
I’ve been shaving my armpits since nine and my legs since 11. I was allowed to shave my armpits so I had my own razor to shave my legs with as well. However, I was scared my mum would tell me off for shaving my legs but when she saw my legs shaved a few times she noticed and said it was completely alright. Don’t be scared of your mums kiddos :)
@@chloeleanor I tried to talk to my mum abt it but she shouted at me for even bringing the topic up I don't get why I can't do my facial hair either it's embarrassing
My mom still doesn’t let me shave even though I’m 14, she says waxing is better bc it takes much longer for the hairs to grow back and is better in the long run. Tbh I don’t mind just as long as she keeps paying for the waxing appointments lol
That’s probably better. As a razor user I’m cutting myself about 10 times a week, no matter how carful I am. Also my hairs start growing back strangely after 8 hours 🗿
I had really bad leg hair in fourth grade. I told my mom I wanted to shave and she said no convinced me not to. I'm kind of resentful of it now because I ended up just doing it on my knees so she wouldn't notice. Finally I reached fifth grade and I told her I wanted to and she convinced me not to by scaring me about the disadvantages of shaving. After a few months I finally put my foot down an told her I wanted to shave. She let me but I'm still kind of mad she never let me shave. It just wasn't to her convenience.
I can understand the frustration. parents must understand some children hit puberty earlier which means they would get hairy at an earlier age which can ruin confidence. at 5th grade my legs got very hairy suddenly (from puberty) and I started feeling self conscious but my mom wouldn't let me shave. she let me remove my hairs at 12 I believe so I am at least thankful for that 😮💨
my mom let me start shaving at 11, it wasn’t awkward and she let me pick out a razor i want and gave me names of good brands. i wish all moms were like her
I’m 13 and everyone in 5th grade had shaven before, I covered my legs with socks until 7th grade( I’m in 8th rn) and the summer of 7th grade my mom taught me how to shave and it made me so confident, I waited for my mom to say when bc I thought the razor would murder me, lol
Hey this might sound rlly dumb but im in 8th too and i told my mom i wanna shave but she just ignores me when i say that and she tells me to wait till i grow up, and at this point i just cant handle it anymore being the only girl who's really hairy, and being on the schools swimming team makes it even worse and like do you have a solution cause ive been wanting to shave ever since 4th grade 😭
People, remember that it is your body and you can do whatever you want with it, it shouldn't be someone else's decision. But only shave because you want to, not cuz the society says so, it's a natural thing that happens to everybody so don't be ashamed about it Your body, your choice
I'm a 30 year old mom of two kids, one being an 8 year old girl. I'm dreading her wanting to shave, but not because I'm against it...because I haven't done it is about 5 years. I don't shave my legs or my pits, just my preference. I get really bad rushed and burn, even with a top notch razor, so I just don't. I wasn't all that good at it when I DID shave, but now I'm not sure I can properly teach her how if she wants to.
Utilize exactly what you’re using now- CZcams! Watch some CZcams videos together so you both can learn TOGETHER ☺️ or get her some nair like in the video. Slap it on, wait ten minutes, and wipe it off. Legs smooth as a babies bottom lol. What you shouldn’t do is not let her remove the hair though, that will cause a huge amount of bullying
Lol my mom's opposite, back when I was 14 my mom brought me to a beauty salon to get my legs, armpits waxed and have my bushy eyebrows shaped cause I requested it
I'm allowed to shave but I don't even though I'm 16. I've never shaved my legs in my life and I don't really want to. It's kind of a gender thing for me, I feel happier with presenting that way. Sometimes I feel like people judge me though, especially because my leg hair looks rather different (it's blonde until about mid calf when it turns dark brown) and because I dress in a stereotypically feminine way.
I also don’t shave and I often like to dress feminine. My husband passed while I was pregnant now I kinda feel pushed to dress more masculine because I don’t have him beside me to validate my feminine side and some of my family is and always has been openly judgmental.
@@Kaudri I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through that. I think gender expression can be such a powerful tool for making yourself feel comfortable, confident, and safe. Do what you want, dress how you want. Your family doesn't get an opinion on something so personal. I'm sure you are beautiful when expressing masculinity, femininity, and everything in between. You've got this my friend 💜
I've always had pretty hairy arms and when I was 14-15 I asked my mom if I could shave them but she said "no way" and I always wore long sleeves or a jacket year round and due to that I developed a severe vitamin D deficiency.. doctor said my vitamin D was practically non existent. it didn't help I also wore jeans but I know for a fact my vitamin D level wouldn't be as low if my arms weren't always covered too. when I was 18 I decided to just do it without permission 🤷♀️
I wax my leg at 13 because girls in school bully me for having hair and I was so insecure I told my mom but I didn’t tell her about the bully’s and when I finally waxed and went to school other girls told me (if you’re mom truly loved u she wouldn’t wax ur legs) btw in my school no one talks to me I have no friends even when I talk to someone she pretends that she can’t hear me and some of them we’re talking shit about me like (she’s so creepy she doesn’t have friends she goes home with a random guy) the guy is not random it’s my brother I heard them and said nothing and my hair is naturally curly when I go to school they say: (why ur hair is curly do u ever brush it or shower? Straight it disgusting ) when I tried to straight it at salons they were like it’s not naturally straight so it’s bad! Idk why the school hated me so now we’re on a summer vacation in my country school are starting in like 3 weeks and I’m going to another school I hope they are nice (I’ll update you if I got to the school and tell u how it was!
I'm know this is just a roleplay but this is so entertaining and also so relatable my college roommate didint shave until 22 so judgment it's jsut funny how somone liek me can start shaving at 10 and other people 18 +
which is why i ALWAYS wear long pants- no matter the weather- and if i go swimming in shorts, i wear a towel around me all the time...no matter what...
This is literally my mom and she has one reason and it’s that “her job as a mom is to keep me from making those mistakes” and that “I’m not old enough”😢😢😢
In my opinion, I don't give two shits about someone's body hair. Leg and pit hair grow on all of us, I don't see why it's a taboo on women. It's their choice if they want to shave it or not. It's all about hygiene and personal preference. Some people shave during summer and let it grow during the cold seasons. It's really not a big deal society makes it out to be 🤷 I wish all moms thought the same way and let their daughters decide if they want to remove their hair or not. I'm pretty sure women have more important things to worry about than natural body hair 🤣

Anyways I personally don’t see why people stress over shaving in the first place I mean what’s wrong with hair it’s so “fashionable and pretty” on your head gives you views and likes ans stuff so why can’t it be on your leg?
That’s very unfair that she won’t allow you to shave until then. Though I wish I could get laser hair removal in the future since it’s really uncomfortable shaving my armpits but otherwise they get very itchy etc.
i'm at that awkward stage where my legs aren't hairy enough to shave, but they are hairy enough for me to notice them and are easy to see when im wearing shorts and sitting next to someone. so i feel self conscious about it
Relatable. I feel like my legs and arms are ugly because of that hair, but it’s not enough hair for it to be shaved, yet it’s noticeable when I wear shorts
I'm a guy and I actually shave my legs because I like how it feels and I think guys should not be made fun of for shaving their legs although nobody has commented on it or asked me about it in 6 years
I don’t understand why they are like “YoU aRe ToO yOuNg” Literally my legs, arms look like a fkcing forest and my mom is like you are too young or it’s not “ThAt LoNg” For gods sake it’s not about age or the length of it, but they won’t understand :(

OMG ME TOOOOO but when I turned 12 she let me do my legs and arms!
My mom didn’t let me till I was 14 but my sister would bye me razors and I learned to shave at 8.
i personally did arms first didnt start shaving my legs until 12 and started pits at 10
oh my god i hate shaving at this point, i shave my armpits at least 2 or 3 months? my mother forced me to shave like srsly
I started shaving my arms and legs when I was 10
I know this isn’t real but what kind of mom doesn’t let her TEENAGE DAUGHTER shave her legs, like um excuse you it doesn’t matter if you’re “not ready for this” your DAUGHTER clearly is ready so you might as well teach her to do it the right way or she’s gonna get hurt.

To answer a comment I can no longer find, I meant I know the video isn’t a real mom and daughter. I’m well aware that this happens to a lot of people.

@★彡 Gacha Lizzie 彡★ people can grow their leg hair rlly quick, my hair on my legs are long but since it’s blonde you can’t even see it
I started at 9 almost 10 with and electric shaver
I have body hair since 8 years old, I am almost 13 now and my mom doesn’t let me to shave, I’ve been really insecure because of this
but how will she get hurt?
My parents noticed I shaved my legs and I got yelled at "I'm too young"(11 ish). 2 weeks later they found out my aunt gave her 2 daughters (my younger cousins) a "girls day" and bought them cute shaving kits and taught them how to shave their legs while they sat at the edge of their tub. My little heart was so sad wishing I had that.
Omg sameee i did my legs too and got yelled atand my cousins also got shaving stuff and im 11ish
My family actually told me I had to shave, and would often pet my legs to try and shame me. Jokes on them, it made me more proud of my body hair
Ahahhahaha love it
Omg I wish I had your energy 😩
I believe I started shaving my legs and underarms when I was 14. I only do that once a week, I rinse my razor when I’m done, I usually put soothing moisturizing gel on afterwards because then my skin will be irritated if I don’t put lotion on
I started shaving everything (yes even down there) when I was 7 nearly 8 now I'm 10
I started shaving my arms and legs when I was 8 and I started shaving everywhere in June 2022 I’m ten

Make it make sense
I know this video is fake but there are a ton of parents that are actually like this. These are just my opinions

Of what I can remember, my mom started letting me shave at 10, which was a decent age for me because I would (and still do) grow hair pretty quickly, and I gained a lot of confidence so I am happy with her decision. :)
girl talk from ur internet big sister
I started waxing at 10, for my birthday since I was rlly insecure about my under arm hair, and I waxed a few times after that until I began crying. then I started shaving my underarms and continued doing that.
I’ve never understood parents like this. It’s like they just want someone they can control forever, or a mini them. It’s super weird
Unfortunately some parents can not accept their pre teens leaving their little kid stage
Whaaa, for most its just because they think their children will have hair that growns faster, thicker and in more quantity (i know it did for me). The thing is, I preferes the hair growing more and thicker than the embarassment I got when I didnt shave.
My mom is the SAME way, I’m 14 and no matter what I do or ask, she will NOT let me ever shave.
If you want to shave tell her why shaving is good tell her why u want to also tell her that waiting till im 18+ still wont change the fax I will still cut myself while doing it and u do it why cant i do it
I totally understand u . It was the same for me and i just asked mom i could shave armpits and shaved legs as well
This reminds me of my mom I am 12 years old and have hair on my legs and I’m really insecure about it and every time I ask my mom if I can shave she says no u don’t need it your to young stop trying to grow to fast and when I tell her it’s my body and I’m ready she says it’s her choice to make “big” decisions on my body until I’m 18 that it doesn’t matter about my choice.
Thanks for the comments I’ll try them
My mom is the same I can’t shave till I’m older
Maybe in 5th grade sex Ed they should show how to shave wax lotion... i could of used it instead of murdering my legs with a razor lol

Literally my legs, arms look like a fkcing forest and my mom is like you are too young or it’s not “ThAt LoNg”
For gods sake it’s not about age or the length of it, but they won’t understand :(
Just put ur foot down. Say I had enough. Tell then u ll move out & live with another family that ll understand.
Getting flashbacks to when I was 16 and used scissors to shave my legs.. never again
I tried the same thing thanks to my mom
Yes
My mom let me start shaving at 10😂
Ma’am I started shaving at 11 and she can’t shave till 18 that’s stupid and yes I know this is not real
How is not everyone talking about the real problem: her "friends" creating a social pressure on her to do something she CLEARLY didn't want to do.
I’ve been saving since I was 9
I started shaving when I was 10/11 ish and now I’m 12
I had cut a bit of skin off on accident but now I’m fine
I start to shave at 11
omg how does ur mum let u do it? i'm 13 atm and i don't shave-
@@enheediaries my legs were so hairy so my started to let me
@@enheediaries just ask I started when I was 11 and now I’m twelve. The worst that they can say is no
@@cd-1234 my mum is like, shaving makes your skin a lil darker, and like you have to deal with ingrown hairs and stuff, so she prefers waxing
@@enheediaries oof waxing sucks the life out of your legs. Hurts soooo much. And I’ve only had one ingrown hair ever and your legs don’t get darker, just the hair. But whatever you do don’t try to learn how to shave by yourself. My friend did and cut her legs a ton. If you really really want to try to have a friend who knows how to shave help you. Hope this helps
