It's better to play the newly promoted teams, or PL teams which struggled towards the end of last season ,early doors before they find their feet. We were unlucky with that last season, by the time we played the likes of Luton/Everton/Notts Forest/Bournemouth they'd already found a bit of form. Man City played a lot of those teams in the first 6 games & gave them a hiding, which is ultimately what won them the league.

Most teams want a home game first up, especially against the so called lesser teams.

Gordon should have come on at half time. Stop trying to play three no.10s, Kane Foden and Bellimgham all want the same space. England need width, one no.10 and one no.9 and a manager that knows how to us his subs. Shocking.

Sam bang on, I remember the Italy final England had the game in the bag and let them back in the game pass it around, gain confidence and eventually score and win. Southgate a poor poor manager

I think this a bit of a test. If we get a terrible schedule how much do we wonder what is going on after last season.

Another " golden generation " lead by another dull manager, Foden, the new Paul Scholes, he's a not a left winger, Southgate has no idea what to do with Foden.
