For the Steelers to go 9-8 with a rookie QB while starting 2-6. Pretty darn good season if you ask me. They went 9-7-1 with Ben last year and TJ Watt missed a lot of this season.

No playoffs but Coach T’s streak stays in tack. The more important thing of all possible outcomes was the progress this team made from beginning to end. The early part of the season was alot of adversity, a tough schedule,losing Watt for awhile, Trubinsky not being effective and yet this team found a spark in Kenny. Najee was able to get healthy, and their confidence grew with each quarter of football. Big respect to these Steelers! I’m looking forward to next season, with a bright future in store for this group!
Another season since the 2010 SB loss that we don't make the playoffs which is 5 seasons worth, 4 WC losses and a 3-7 record. But hey Tomlin has his precious non losing season. That's our standard.

Absolutely the finest coaching job in Tomlin's tenure! The development of this team in the second half of the season was unbelievable. Kenny is the real deal, Harris and Warren can carry the mail, the O-line developed and over achieved, the receivers played better every game, and the defense is the real deal. We are poised to draft well and that 2d round pick from Chicago will be the first pick in the second round. Any fellow Steeler fan unhappy, at least we don't have the $230 million man Deshaun Watson at Qb, -3 first round picks! I'm 73 life long Steeler fan AND am looking to another Super Bowl in my life. To a degree, a team reflects the tone set by the coach. The Browns are on one end of the spectrum, the Steelers are on the other.
Kevin Stefanski is nothing more than a sad imposter of a head coach. And I'll explain why.
Last season over in Chicago, the Bears' season slowly came apart as it became self-evident that Justin Fields was NOT the offense cure-all the fandom had been lead to believe by "Coach of the Year" Matt Nagy. Eventually the "fandumb" realized that Nagy had tricked them, using Mitch Trubisky as a scapegoat to cover his own incompetence as a head coach. The reset button got pushed and a rebuild started, leading to the situation the Bears are in now.
Meanwhile this year the Browns lead by "Coach of the Year" Kevin Stefanski have gone 7-10, with performances by Watson no better (and sometimes worse!) than was seen when Baker Mayfield was the QB. Add in the fact that there are VERY obvious problems on the Browns defense, and I have become convinced Baker was being scapegoated during his time in Cleveland.
Mark my words, the facade around Stefanski will come crashing down next year, and Cleveland will have nothing left to show for their "faith" except the setbacks the Watson deal will cause over the next 5+ years!
Tomlin haters in shambles after he and the team started 2-6 and looked like we would be a bottom 5 team.
Strong 2nd half to the season, 7-2 with a shot at making the playoffs. That's a lot to build on.

Mike Tomlin is the weakest link. He can turn a good team into 50/50 in no time. Affirmative action hire held afloat by the Rooney’s. Always outcoached and outclassed…… especially in the big games.
Not a bad way to start the post-Ben era. Playing a meaningful game on the last week of the season and finishing 7-2 on the last 9 games. The future is bright for SteelerNation
I'm trying to remind myself that being in the play-off conversation is an accomplishment enough for this team given how things started. Still hurts to be SO CLOSE and miss out. The Jets D did their job on that last drive holding them to a long field goal, but it's too bad it was in sunny Miami and the Fins have a solid kicker.
When you look at the Jets, Pats, Fins and Steelers, and I'd say the Steelers have their QB/RB/receiver tandem in the best situation. Tua is great, but his future is murky with all those concussion issues. It's not the worst thing to end the season on a high note, rather than possibly getting waxed in Buffalo.
They need to get an OC that maximizes Picketts strengths. Pickett is deadly outside the pocket and on bootlegs.
Teams learn how to pin QBs like this in the pocket. If he doesn't get better in the pocket he be a backup QB soon.

Tomlin ruins QB's look at Big Ben look at Mason Rudolph now Trubisky and Pickett same old song and dance Traded for Trubisky only to draft Pickett only to sit Pickett then bench Trubisky and at the same time waste Mason Rudolphs career and Trubiskys career and now his insane management will ruin Kenny Pickett soon enough
He’s not Mahomes or Allen so he’s not making those kinds of plays.
As a Steelers fan, this season felt like 2019 all over again. We had our ups, our downs, and quite a few injuries early on. The future is definitely looking bright for Pickett and this young offense.

To start 2 and 6 and finish 9 and 8 is impressive. Showed a lot of growth and improvement, even with Watt hurt most of the season. Harris is a beast and Pickett looked damn good, the team came so close, just missed it, just needed the sorry ass Jets would to beat the Dolphins and a playoff berth would of been yours. Heart breaking but uplifting for next season, much respect to Tomlin and his coaching abilities.
Makes you think back on all those closes losses to the Jets, Dolphins, Patriots, etc just 1 of those wins could have been a difference maker.
You read my mind but now we can build on this add more OL pieces and maybe some DL and I think we will contend for the North crown. I hate to get in then thumped by Buffalo. Miami will get embarrased next week and the Steelers are now rising for sure... Here we go !!

Gunner fumbled a return that gave the Pats a win. Trubisky's 3 picks gave the Ravens a win. Those were the real heartbreakers.
@@desertchurro I would say for them to draft a really good corner first. They definitely can use depth for offensive and defensive lineman. Cam Heyward is STILL a beast BUT they need to ensure his replacement. Demarvin Leal MIGHT be that guy or possibly our future nose tackle with Loudermilk on the edge. Montravius Adams, if they keep him. Looks like our ILBs is coming into view with Jack, Robinson, Robert Spillane had a GREAT season. I don't know if they're gonna keep Devin Bush, probably not with the potential Mark Robinson has shown.

For a rebuilding year with Matt Canada(hope he gets fired) the Steelers were somehow able to go 9-8. This team has a very bright future, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they end up winning their division next season if all the pieces come together for them.

Watson is really the man. He took a team whose offense only averaged 23.6 points per game and turned them into the offensive juggernaut that averaged 11.1 points per game with Watson at the helm....... Oh, wait a second. That's not very good, is it? But then again, neither is, I hold the ball way too long and have only average accuracy at best, Watson.
Who tf expected him to come out and be above average? Anyone who thought he’d look anything like his old self with no training camp, no time to build chemistry with his offense, 2 years of no football, and coming into an entirely different system is dumb. It’s way to early to speak on anything Watson related. You sir are what we like to call a overreacting casual.
The fact that they gave that clown $230 million and he still gets 230 million excuses from most is crazy to me. He's trash. Everyone involved in what will go down as the absolute worst acquisition in sports history needs to be fired.
Even though we missed the playoffs, this was an overall good season for PIT. Our young guys got to develop. Our defense got back in their groove with takeaways and run stopping. And Tomlin keeps his streak alive. Just a few tweaks and I can see the Steelers making some noise next year.

Can't believe there have been some people in Pittsburgh that have wanted to get rid of him. Easily one of the top coaches in the NFL. Definitely will end up in the HOF. I also think their future looks bright. Very good defense, Pickett played very well at season's end. What a great organization the Steelers have.
He’s the best in the league at this 5:11 , he’s the best I’ve ever seen at doing this, he has an opportunity to be the greatest Receiver of all time due to his unique attributes and abilities and skills. He’s different, I’m not a Steelers fan, nor a Georgia fan, I have no bones is this or biases, I don’t know him, I’m just telling you what I see every week I watch these highlights, he’s always doing something that only he be doin. The receiver position is an art form, maybe more than other positions, and he’s the guy right now in the league. Doesn’t have the stats yet, but they coming.

Bit of a rough start to the season, but Kenny Pickett and George Pickens have proven themselves. Now we can use this offseason to get a couple more wide receivers, couple more Running backs, an Offensive line that doesn't suck, and Maybe a new offensive coordinator? Everyone bashing Canada but some of the plays he's called in these last few important games have been amazing. The handoffs to Heyward, passes to Pickens, they are now scoring from short yardage with beautiful run plays that nobody expects. Awesome to see. Can't wait for next year.

I am proud of the changes to go from 2-6 to 9-8. With Pickett looking strong, Pickens and Harris playing like champs and the defense being strong I wouldn't be surprised if we win the division next season.

Am the 1st to admit that i thought our season was over; Tomlin would have 1st losing season and be focused on 2023 season. But after a 1-7 start, in the shadow of TJ WATT'S injury, we rose from the Ashes, got Watt back and played inspiring football to whr we were knocking on playoff door. Give Mike Tomlin *COTY* PLEASE!!!!

This year was a decision on what new qb was gunna start, a new identity year. We also had a bunch of injuries again, with a tuff division. If we were in the nfc south or afc south you wouldnt be bitching. Its football man, not every season can be a superbowl win or a playoff win at home. Just look at over 75% of the teams in the nfl, most of them havent even seen a superbowl appearence in 2 decades.... so please stop whining or go be a bungle fan. Please and thank you.
