As a 49er fan, the Browns defense really impressed me. It's too bad Chubb went down to injury; the Browns could have been a darkhorse contender in the AFC with that stout defense. As for the 49ers, I'm not sure if Purdy had a history of difficulties when playing in wet conditions in college, but he couldn't seem to grip the wet ball all day long. All in all, this game was a dogfight and downright ugly at times. Questionable officiating against both the 49ers and Browns; in the end the Browns deserved to win this game.

I would still argue that the Browns are a darkhorse contender, especially if Watson's performance against the Titans is a sign of things to come. It'll be a lot more difficult without Chubb, but that Browns defense is legit. And Watson in form with the kind of team the Browns have is more than enough to be a superbowl contender.

As the season ramp up, so does the level of the teams. The 49ers were moving confident of being undefeated but the Browns showed that they have a good and strong team. Browns won well and that is perfectly recognized.
The Browns white uniforms look great. The defense did a good job of keeping the team in the game. Good win against one of the top teams in the NFC.
Browns have gained my respect during the las couple of months. They’ve started to improve their offense and rebuild the defense to be more competitive and let me tell you that it really worked. I think they have a bright future and if they keep improving their tactical plans, they will be really successful in the upcoming future. Wish them the best… .

When this game was live on my phone.. I was disappointed that we lost.. but after awhile sitting on it, I’m not mad. Brock did what he had to do and it came down to a field goal kick which in my opinion why not gain more yards for Moody to begin with? We could’ve inched it more closer. But oh well it is what it is. This game was amazing. I was hollering most of the game. Brown’s defense is so clutch but PJ Walker stepped up and could only imagine the rushing yards would’ve been much higher had Nick Chubbs not gotten injured. Wishing that guy a full recovery when he touches the field again next year. What an upset.

Two missed field goals. Conditions are tricky for kickers in Cleveland. That is expected, but no excuses for us. Great games for Ford and Amari. They were the difference this game.

Officiating was atrocious for both teams, but the refs just cost the niners the game with that bogus personal foul call and then the holding call. Even then, the offense stepped up on the last drive for the niners but special teams cost them the game.

The reality of the situation is that the Browns Defense kept every single position on the Niners offense under lock and key. They were always in the backfield. Got immediate pressure on passing downs, dominated every gap on rushing downs, and refused to let the recievers get any separation. Its an impossible task for any QB to play up to their standard with those conditions. Jim Schwartz put together an incredible gameplan, hats off to him

Niners offense didn’t play well at all today. Losing CMC, Deebo, and Moody’s misses were crucial. And idk how people are gonna let the refs get away with those 2 huge penalties on the Browns’s last drive. Those were brutal calls. Anyone else in here aware that the Browns and the Niners both came into existence as part of the AAFC football league? It was a league that rivaled the NFL. Kinda like the AFL did years later. Anyways, the Browns won the AAFC Championship all 5 seasons that it was around. The Niners were a good team in the league too. Both the Browns and Niners joined the NFL in 1950. The Browns won the NFL Championship the very same year. So, if you think about it, the Browns and Niners have battled each other longer than Browns vs Steelers or 49’ers vs Rams. Kinda cool.

Fun fact: in 1981 joe Montana first bad game of that season came against the browns.niners was looking for their 8th straight win. Joe had 2 ints and a 50 something passer rating. Niners lost 12-15. But ended up winning the sb that year aswell. Will history repeat itself? Time will tell.

As a follower of Browns football, not a super fan but I pull for'em..I was surprised to hear the amount of cheering in that stadium for those evil men in red and gold. I have been a casual fan of Cleveland going back to when I was a kid and Brian Sipe was the QB. I was so thrilled to see the Browns beat the 49ers.
Credit the offense hanging in there and keeping pace..Ford had a good game and his run setting up the field goal at 11:07 was on point..They played that whole drive perfectly giving them the lead
Browns giving the blueprint on how to beat the 49ers. What I learned from this game is that if you can physically punch the 49ers consistently, offense and defense, their mojo slows down. 9ers have to learn how to handle a team that punches as hard as them.

Purdy showed he is resilient. No doubt this was his worst performance today against a top tier defense AND still made critical throws as he lead the 49ers methodically down the field, against Clevelands defense. His back was against the wall and playing from, he still put the 9ers in position to win. Thats pressure.

@@costco_pizzathese things happen, you know. A lot of it is mental. Gotta be in the flow for enough of the game to put it away. The Browns defense is pretty tough, which helps when their offense is depleted.
Looked like it was one helluva game. Lotta big plays from both teams. Niners shouldnt feel too bad, the Browns had to work their butts off for every little piece of that win. Even then, they were only spared due to that missed fg at the end. (3rd total between both teams, so it obviously wasn't a very good night for kicking)

@@Steven-tl8fs Definitely yes. Defenses like this have proven on several occasions that all you need is a below average offense and you can win a title. See Ravens 2001, see Bears 1985, etc. A next level defense can absolutely carry a team to a title.

A close match that could have gone either way. The result wasn't as expected. But if you look at the performance of the Browns from the first quarter to the last quarter, and how they put pressure on the 9ers defense at the end - that wasn't bad. Congratulations to the Browns.

This was a helluva game. The Browns Defense really showed up today and kept us close all game. 49ers D is on par with ours, keeping us to FGs as well. But I'm glad we could win an ugly, gritty game like this with our backup QB. When we get our offense tuned up we'll be dangerous later in the year.

Tough loss today for the 49ers. Their offense and special teams cost them the game the defense can only do so much. Purdy was uncharacteristically inaccurate, and Brandon dropped passes he normally doesnt drop. Hats off to the Browns though their defense gave the 49ers "unstoppable offense" hell today and won them the game🙏
