No matter your team, this is how NFL Games were meant to be played. Tough defense, small jabs during the game, and then a couple haymakers with the rare scoring. Good old-fashioned AFC North football right there.

The Steelers are the classic horror movie villain. They don't die.

If they had a quality NFL starter on the team three years ago, then they would've gone in a different direction. The draft position doesn't matter all that much too being that QB's are a bit of a crapshoot. Baker went #1, Darnold #2, Allen #7, Rosen #10 and Jackson with the "worst draft pick" of #32 with much of the same story as Tua #6 followed by Herbert at #7... no guarantees with the higher pick--it just needs to be the right one.

Some QBs are not very good at targeting those routes without rolling outside the pocket (Jackson, Mayfield, but also Mahomes, and i'll add Rodgers even if he became better the later years) . This makes no sense to keep OBJ, they should send him to Matt Ryan, Brady or something.

My team apparently does an awful job handling high expectations. 2003, 2008, 2019, & now this season seems to be closer to 2019 than to last year.
That being said, the Steelers seem to play better as underdogs. It makes no sense, but I got to admire how they always end up in a playoff conversation no matter how bad their first few weeks are.

In his 6 seasons in the NFL he led a total of 11X in one of the top 6 passing categories & had career highs for pass Yds, Comp.% & Y/A during his NFL years. About to move into 5th all time in both completions and passing yards, already 5th all time in wins, 5 conference championship games, 3 Super Bowls, 2 rings, and the Steelers haven't had a losing season since they drafted him over 18 years ago.
Even after all the hate this year, he's 4 wins to 3 losses with a 105.3 passer rating his last 3 games, and looking to win 4 straight this weekend against the Bears.
