I was lucky enough to meet David and two fellow members of the cast of Heartbeat yesterday at Goathland Heartbeat Vehicle Rally. Quite unexpected - I had seen the car show advertised, but had no idea of the celebrities who gave their time so generously to sign autographs and chat to their fans. I was also unaware that David was a singer, and what a great voice!
What a brilliant actor he is, so enjoy him in Heartbeat so convincing as a person whose life is uncomplicated and innocent and he really has a cheeky grin.

Without doubt the unsung star of Heartbeat!..why?...because of the difficulty of the role and more importantly, maintaining it for so long...try it folks!...try playing a simple lad consistently; David Lonsdale is the man!
I am re-watching Heartbeat again - How many time? Oh and David - he has me laughing every time and even crying. The simplicity and complexity of the role he plays. Having an adult son reminds me so much of him. Playing 'I Spy' had me in creases of laughter a few weeks since. I played it with my son several years since. I gave in! I was looking for 'something beginning with 'u' in the end he said 'oven'! - Wonderful. :*
What a lively voice David has, wonder what Mr, Greengrass and Aunt Peg would make of his change in career, They both were so cruel to David (I know its only pretend)but I still think hey were horrible to him. Good luck David. Keep up the good work.
I "Love David" on "Heartbeat" but he is no "Matt Monro" or "Frank
Sinatra" He should stick to what he does "Best" as Character parts
such as "David Stockwell" I "Love" that Show "Heartbeat" and watch
it every evening. They had such a "Strong Cast" He, and all the others.
You can't compare his voice with that of Matt Monroe or Frank Sinatra.. totally different.
David has an Operatic type voice just like Charlotte Church, ( was also in Heartbeat)
