- This is episode 23 of series 18 entitled Pass the Parcel. Dawn is held hostage in the Aidensfield Arms and holding a parcel containing explosives which her kidnapper is threatening to detonate. The pub is then surrounded by armed police, the kidnapper is also armed and demanding a getaway car to escape. This episode was shown on UK TV on the 5th of September 2010.

Pity there's very little behind the scenes footage like this from the time Nick, Kate and Greengrass were in the show. People may have filmed something but they probably don't want to upload it. The only footage I've seen from the earlier series was from August 1997 where they are filming the 97 Christmas special. There was one other video I saw awhile back which shows Greengrass outside the village stores getting angry at a young bloke with his M2 Jaguar after Kate Rowan has been buried. I've searched everywhere for this footage but can no longer find it.
Where do they get some of those actors from because they clearly cannot act for toffee lol. The earlier series had some decent acting from the guest characters that appeared, but in the later the acting was dreadful. No wonder Heartbeat went downhill after Greengrass left.
